  1. Hi all! I recently finished an orc blood bowl team commission for a mate (including some brute players) and liked the models and colour scheme so much I decided to start an Ironjawz army! With all the excitement building for AoS2, I thought it would be a perfect time to start mustering the waaagh! So far, I have a megaboss and the start collecting box and think I'll just let the force grow organically, no real grand plan as such. I really want to take my time on this army, make some characterful little conversions and do a nice paint job. I recently got 2nd best army for my Stormcast at SCGT2018 and would love to be able to take something totally different next year. So to get the ball rolling, I've started on a couple of characters. First of all,my megaboss, Hogga. I really love the model, but felt I wanted to add a bit more height to his profile. A megaboss has got to be seen by 'da ladz' right? I went for a boss pole - I still need to greenstuff bits to make the rope/chain banner supports fit and fill gaps. I'm not 100% on the head and left (his) shoulder decoration. The bloodletter skull is cool and all, but wonder if something else might help him stand out from the others - potentially a shield or helmet etc - thoughts appreciated! Anyone used different heads on their boss?
  2. What with Legions of Nagash being more-or-less an allegiance wide battletome, what say you about a similar treatment being possible for Destruction? We already have tomes for a few factions, but goblins are feeling noticeably left out at present, and a book with allegiance abilities for a themed "Gordrakks Great WAAAGH" army would revitalise the left-behind factions and provide some newer and more interesting allegiance abilities tailored to each race. Sneaky for grots, smashy for orruks and chompy/stompy for ogors. Of course this is likely wishful thinking, but an ogor warlord can dream about things other than meat right?
  3. Dear community, I’m Corkinimus and new to this community seeking for help, I’ve been looking at everything on this page for a long time now and decided to join in so Hello! I would like to ask for feedback. Soon I will play a rematch for a local tournament with my Destruction/Ironjawz army vs Kharadron overlords, the tournament is basicly deathmatch... wish it was objectives but it isn’t. from memory he plays, chemist, admiral, 6 edrinngers with drillguns, gun hauler and two squads of argonauts, And perhaps something more I can’t remember, in my last game I got shot of the table easily, playing mawcrusha, 5 brutes, megaboss on foot, moonclan grot shaman, no wounds I know. I was planning on this fun list tell me what you think! 1, General, troggoth hag 2, moonclan grot shaman 3 moonclan grot shaman 4 gore gruntas 5 gore gruntas 6 Rock lobber. 7 rock lobber Tactic. Stay behind, shoot his edringgers with rock lobers, when he gets closer move everything up, charge with the boars, vomit with the hag and cast arcane bolt and curse of the bad moon with he shamans while shooting with my rock lobbers, what do you guys think? Mans if you got any suggestions let me know I got lots of ironjawz models and moonclan alike. Thanks already. Corkinimus.
  4. Oi! I thought I would follow everyone else’s example and start my own painting thread, highlighting (pun intended) some of the things I have been working on. Short background, I’ve been seriously painting minis for almost two years, dabbled in 40k stuff when I was a kid, few years ago I painted some Orks, but this period is my first time actually trying to learn how to paint. The hobby aspect of AOS is I think the thing that really motivates me, I’m not the best player but I love to paint and think up conversions, so basically I see myself as a hobby hero, which absolutely informs how I create armies and play. Right now my project is...IRONJAWZ! I picked up the Ironjawz originally when they first dropped, I was new to AOS and I’ve always loved Orks in 40k, so this was a no brainer. I painted them up, played one game, and then moved on to Skaven (love those little ******). I’ve came back around to the Ironjawz and stripped my old models, bought some new ones, and am currently trying to get ready for a local tournament here in Alberta. I’d like to take the Ironjawz but I have to do a LOT of painting in not that much time, so we will see. First batch of Ardboyz here, I knew I wanted a red colour scheme, but clearly this is A LOT of red. Next batch is coming up soon, should be a bit more colour variation.
  5. Deep from within the caves of Ghur, an oddboy of exponential power emerges from the shadows. Dedicating his service to Gordrakk, Gurrbog fortells a great destiny to Gordrakk and the Blakkmoonz Warclan. One of power, fear, and annihilation. Madboy Gurrbog is more than just a Weirdnob, he is an absolute madboy!
  6. Made some changes to Grimgor to give him more of a AOS look.
