  1. Welcome to the new home of Battletome: The End Times. Rather than build a blog or other ways, I figured that using The Grand Alliance as the hub for my hosting and posting about BT: ET would work out best for everyone. Thanks to Ben for creating a site where I can easily host the files for everyone to find! What is Battletome: The End Times? It's a fan-made conversion of the original End Times scenarios. Like many, I was pretty hyped up about the End Times. Unfortunately, my gaming group lacked a lot of the key players, and I had none. So I never got to play them! When AoS arrived, I decided that the game was so well suited to scenarios that converting them would be easy enough. I want to play out the end of my favorite fantasy setting! Thus was born this massive tome. It is faction neutral, for the moment. Meaning you can use whatever army you have, without penalties. It also includes a number of Times of War, so you can play and feel truly in the setting. Current progress report: Version 1.0 is finished! All battleplans, Time of War rules, deployment maps and other things are finished. The Battletome: The End Times is done. Enjoy! Fluff/extras for battleplans: Nagash Glottkin Khaine Thanquol Archaon Beneath you'll find each download as they are available. The full Battletome: The End Times is considered the master version. Each sub-tome contains only the parts that the original book contained, so you may have to download others to use the relevant Time of War rules.
  2. The new and final version of Battletome: The End Times is finished! There's so much I could say about this. And I will update the blog later. But for now, here's the links to the tome and ALL its parts. I also made a trailer, so please enjoy that! That's all of them! As a bonus, here's a screensaver! It's just a silly little thing, but I figured that since I have the files it'd be fun. Thanks for reading!

Mighty Battles is a campaign system for two players, designed to be played across a single day, weekend or a couple of club nights. If you've ever played a campaign that just died a slow death, you know how frustrating that can be. Mighty Battles is here to allow you and an opponent to string your battles together in a simple structure, add some narrative details, and finish the story in a reasonable amount of time! Included is a guide on how to design your own Mighty Battles campaigns. All 5 End Times campaigns are also packaged in, giving you plenty of content right off the bat!
  4. Version 1.0.0

    21 downloads

Battletome: Nagash was the first of the End Times campaign books. It follows the story of his resurrection all the way until he crushes the kingdom of Nehekhara. This is the longest tome in the project, featuring 21 battleplans. It also includes the two Times of War "Haunted Battlegrounds" and "Darkest Depths" as well as the Mighty Battles campaign "The Rise of Nagash".
  5. Version 1.0.0

    12 downloads

Battletome: Glottkin is part 2 of the End Times books. This is the original appearance of the Glottkin, a trio who would return again and again to plague the Mortal Realms. Where Nagash focused on the Undead, this tome is set squarely in the Empire, with Karl Franz taking center stage. Among the shorter tomes, it contains 6 battleplans for your to play. In addition, it has the "Chaos Ascendant" and "Streets of Death" Time of War rules and the "Conquest of the Tentacle Lord" Mighty Battles campaign.
  6. Version 1.0.0

    12 downloads

Khaine is the third part of the End Times saga. This was the turning points in more ways than one, as the massive conflict between the High Elves and Dark Elves was resolved, and the enigmatic Wood Elves were brought back into the fold. This is another shorter battletome with another 7 battleplans. It contains a single Time of War, "The Great Vortex Weakens" and a Mighty Battles campaign, "The Return".
  7. Version 1.0.0

    8 downloads

This is the fourth tome in the End Times series of campaign books. The Skaven unleash their endless hordes, and the empires of Dwarfs and Lizardmen fall. There would be no coming back from this. Here you will find 6 battleplans detailing the fall of Lizardmen and Dwarfs, as well as Thanquol's shining moment! The Time of War "Realms of the Lizardmen" is also included, as is the Mighty Battles campaign "The Doom of Belegar".
  8. Version 1.0.0

    8 downloads

This is the final tome in the collection. Battletome: Archaon covers the final moments of the World-That-Was. This is really where the whole sage ends. Archaon the Everchosen shows why he's called Lord of the End Times. It contains no Time of War rules, but compensates with 11 battleplans, many of them quite complex. It also has a Mighty Battles campaign, "Plague and Death", no points for guessing who's involved in that!
  9. I have a small treat to share with you all today! As many of you likely know, Vince and I are headed off today for Holy Havok this weekend and we're super stoked. For those that don't know about Holy Havok, it is a new team narrative event/tournament in the Chicago area which is put on by the Holy Wars club and, much like its predecessor Holy Wars GT, it is renowned for its fantastic tables. This event was organized prior to the General Handbook's release so it has some pretty interesting force composition rules. Teams are instructed to bring 24 Warscrolls of forces from a single grand alliance (so both Archaon and 10 Plaguebearers would count as a single Warscroll choice for example) but it is well known that the five scenarios are going to be based around objectives that require a high model count. So while Archaon is clearly not equal in power level to 10 plaguebearers, teams need to build their list in such a way as to have both high model counts and enough killing power to neutralize enemy forces (all while not knowing the scenarios). Vince and I devoted a Warhammer weekly episode to the event where we had the head of the Holy Wars Council Steve Herner on so I'd encourage you to check it out here. You can also read more about these narrative events at their website. If you've been following Warhammer Weekly, you know that Vince and I have put together a Chaos force centered around The End Times and Archaon's attempts to gather the same personalities and bring about the end -- again. The "surprise" today is that I'm making available the army booklet with the background narrative to our force, the war scrolls with images of our models, and the composition of our (filthy) list which we've been talking about for a couple months. You can download our "army book" here. Please understand that while the pictures are ours, we do not own the photo images used they are the property of their respective owners. This is an amateur fan-made army book for this event and no profit will be made off of it. For those interested in following the events, Beasts of War will be live blogging the events this weekend and you'll likely see some updates from us here and in some live stream videos that I'll post as well.
  10. Yes, it's finally time for another update! On the 19th of November, Battletome: The End Times update 2 will be released. It contains a number of new features and fixes to the existing battleplans. It was quite a journey to get to the first release, and the reaction was immense! It's been shared in all sorts of media, and mentioned on numerous podcasts. I was even invited to talk about it on an episode of Garagehammer! I took a few months off after completing it to focus on other things, but now I'm back. Though the bulk of this now year-long project is finished, it's not done. Already packed with features, the next update brings even more options to your games. Biggest of the new features is the Mighty Battles campaign system. Built on the Lords of Battle system found in the original End Times books, it has been expanded and generalised to make an easy system for building and playing your own campaigns. Many campaign systems rely on many players or weeks (or even months) of playtime. I find that these sort of campaigns usually collapse before they finish, for all sorts of reasons. It's never easy to keep groups together and focused for such long events. I knew that the battles of this tome needed to be connected through a campaign system, but I wasn't sure how to do it. The Lords of Battle system from the original books provided the answer. Designed for two players to duke it out over shorter campaigns, it's perfect to play across a single day or a weekend. You still recreate the epic battles and heroic moments, but now you can reliably complete each campaign. There's also much less fussing about with special campaign rules, unpredictable results or the need for a DM! Now you just follow the charts to battle, all the rules you need to know contained in a short and easy-to-read document. As with all content in Battletome: The End Times, the campaigns are faction neutral. So even if you collect Stormcasts and your friend has Fyreslayers, this is a way for you to play. You could create your own campaign, or play one of the many that are included, substituting the story as best suits you! For those of you who yearn to fully recreate the wars for the old world, there's also a "Recreating the War" section, forcing further restrictions to keep the battles in line with the story as they happened. This way you can play exactly the way you want. For the 2.0 update, the Battletome will include a full campaign for each book! These will naturally not cover every battleplan in each book, but rather parts of the story. For some, this will include battleplans that are not in Battletome: End Times. This is simply so that each battle can be unique and interesting, true to the story, and without me having to invent another 50 battleplans! I can reveal two of the campaigns that will feature; From Nagash, you will get to play through the Rise of Nagash campaign. It follows Mannfred and Arkhans attempt to ressurect their long-dead overlord, facing a variety of foes. The first campaign from Khaine will be The Return, a campaign about Malekith's final assault on Ulthuan, and the desperate race to the Blighted Isle and the Shrine of Khaine. In addition to the Mighty Battles campaign system and the embedded campaigns, there will be several custom warscrolls! There are many heroes and villains whose tales need to be told. Some of those featured prominently during the End Times will be recieving all-new, custom Warscrolls. Each of these are designed to capture the essence of the character, and bring it into the Age of Sigmar. These are narrative warscrolls, with strange and new abilities. Add them to your battles for a great story-driven tale. The final number of custom warscrolls is not finalized. These will continue to see work up until release. I can reveal that each of the Mortarchs will get their own warscroll, as benefits the greatest minions of Nagash. For a preview of what to expect, here is the warscroll for Dieter Helsnicht! A manticore-riding Necromancer, he has not had rules since 5th edition warhammer! He's a great mix of combat power and magical might, making your other necromancers instantly more dangerous. Please note that every warscroll is WIP, and subject to changes. And with that, I've revealed enough for one day. There's plenty more in the 2.0 update, which will drop November 19th.
