  2. Hello everybody, Big day for me today because I have decided to post my starting army on this forum after looking all of yours for long time. I hope you will like my work, I saw fantastic miniatures on this forum and I hope mine will be at the level. Please forgive my english, it's not my native language My army took place in the city of Azhya, Realm of Ghyran, the idea was to make some stormcasts mutated by the magic winds of the realm of life after their numerous resurrections, I'm still WIP on some miniatures and this is just the start. Here they are : And a group picture with bases remaded for my branchwych and my champion : Hope you will like them !! Bye for now ! I will be bacq
  3. Hey fellow sigmarites, After painting a whole Stormcast army in non-metallic-metals (as well as I could )I would really like to replace several of my models with new ones, and use a relatively easy but visually striking scheme. You know, the kind of paintjob that makes you feel like you are cheating: it gets all the looks and compliments but didn't require that much effort. Do you have this kind of recipes? Any trick you would like to share? I'm particularly interested in colored metallic (metallic red, metallic blue...) but I'm open to any other. Thanks!
  4. After a lot of years and many many Armies in 40k and Fantasy i sold nearly all i had. But then Age of Sigmar arrived. and I like it a lot. Over the time i got more into it and especially loved the Miniatures. So here is my Plog about my Miniatures and Armies while i build and paint them. First of all my 2 Starting Armies: Stormcast Eternals and Nurgle Rotbringers with Deamons. http://www.coolminiornot.com/pics/pics16/img59296000a0cca.jpg http://www.coolminiornot.com/pics/pics16/img5929608553002.jpg http://www.coolminiornot.com/pics/pics16/img59295dcad968a.jpg http://www.coolminiornot.com/pics/pics16/img59295d34995bf.jpg
  5. Hi All A few pictures from my latest battle. I played Stormcasts against a mixed Chaos force - called Everchosen. The battleplan was the "Out of the mist". It favors Chaos forces a bit as I did not get much use from my trusty Judicators. I managed to kill the enemy messenger which was a minor objective. However, in the end the enemy killed a larger proportion of my forces, so I suffered a minor defeat. I console myself that I got a moral win since my army was fully painted against an army that was only partially painted. It was a great battle and fun to play. In was very close until the last battleround, where I had lost 27 models in total vs. the enemy's 25 models. I keep being surprised how close AoS battles are. It is rare to see the total slaugther of the enemy which is sometimes seen in WH40k. Some of the learnings are: Never use freeguild troops in small numbers. They need a general and large numbers to be effective. Especially battleshock will easily kill them. In a way an obvious learning, but still a learning nonetheless. I am still struggling to find the right time and place to commit my Celestial Prime. It is difficult to keep him alive for long although the damage output is fantastic. I think the optimal time is second round and then keep him in cover and possibly out of range from enemy shooting. I feel he is a bit of a glass cannon. Lord Celestant on foot is an awesome general and really worth the money. For once the Prosecutors with Javelins came through. The unit has a really low damage output and are normally not good for anything else than grapping objectives or blocking/delaying the enemy. However, in this game they delivered the final wounds to kill the enemy messenger. Well worth their 80 points this time. Feel free to comment or share your experiences. Below are some picture from the battle. My Stormcasts massing for battle Battle about to begin Retributors and General ready to dish out some pain Nurgle ready to spread some pestilence..... Morale victory secured for the Stormcasts as Chaos brings unpainted models to the table Slaugther of my freeguild
  6. Sigmar abandoned them, nurgle welcomed them with open arms, these once noble warriors of sigmar stumbled into the garden of nurgle and were left for dead by their brethren. If you listen closely enough you can still hear them utter " only the faithful " this is not out of loyalty but out of rage They're 80% or so done, i think i overdone the rust an edging, but not bad for an amateur experiment. what do you think?
