    LoS 2k list critique

Got a major GT coming up in about 3 weeks and I wanted to get the communities opinion on a sacrament list and if it can go the distance 6-0. (obviously player ability has the most to do with it but that aside this is mostly to see if I can optimize anything). The extra cp will be for Arkhan command ability stacking for soul harvest through portal if the opportunity arises but mostly for inspiring presence and endless legions bc those 2 are huge cp drains. I don't max out on reapers bc I find that 20 is all I can usually fit in combat at any given time and they are susceptible to battleshock. I've chosen to go rasps over more skeletons bc I didn't want to paint more skeletons and the rasps look dope. They've also been competent as volume of attacks dealers. I wonder if I should split the 30 group in to 3*10 tho since they are mainly super durable objective campers. Maybe even drop 10 for cogs and shackles? I've also been back and forth on the Ethereal Amulet or the Doppelganger cloak. 2 missions are duality of death and places of arcane power so I will need a durable hero to camp. All advice and critique is appreciated Allegiance: Legion of SacramentMortal Realm: UlguLeadersArkhan The Black Mortarch of Sacrament (320)- General- Lore of the Dead: Soul Harvest (Deathmages)Vampire Lord On Zombie Dragon(440)- Deathlance & Shield & Chalice- Artefact: Doppelganger Cloak - Lore of the Vampires: Amethystine PinionsNecromancer (110)- Lore of the Deathmages: Overwhelming DreadNecromancer (110)- Lore of the Deathmages: Fading VigourBattleline40 x Skeleton Warriors (280)- Ancient Spears30 x Chainrasp Horde (240)5 x Dire Wolves (60)Units20 x Grimghast Reapers (280)Endless SpellsUmbral Spellportal (60)Total: 1900 / 2000Extra Command Points: 2Allies: 0 / 400Wounds: 135
  2. I need your help. My name is Steve Duall, and I run the Kidshammer event at the NOVA Open in Arlington, VA, as well as a local kids gaming group in the same area. I wanted to reach out the community to help me spread the word about Kidshammer at NOVA so that we can get the next generation of gamers going in the hobby. Attached is a flyer for the Kidshammer event, which is in its second year. It's two days of open play, hobby tutorials, and a friendly three-round tournament. We had ten kids participate in 2017, and it was such a great time I want to offer it again. Could you help me spread the word by printing out a copy of the attached flyer and posting it where you play? Both the future of the game - and our future playing the game - may well depend upon whether we can get our kids playing too. If you know someone aged 10-15 who is interested in learning to play, or in getting better at playing Age of Sigmar (or Warhammer 40,000), please check out Kidshammer at the NOVA Open website: www.novaopen.com. Kidshammer at the 2018 NOVA Open will be held on Saturday and Sunday, September 1 and 2 (Labor Day Weekend). We'd love to see lots of new faces this year! Thanks!!! KIDSHAMMER - NOVA 2018 Flyer.pdf

    NOVA Open Grand Narrative

    until
NOVA Open will host another Age of Sigmar narrative play event across all four days of the convention, from Thursday, August 30th, through Sunday, September 2nd. Players are invited to bring a painted army of 1,500 matched play points with special army comp provisions, along with a figure of their choice to represent a unique warlord and an airship of their own design and construction. After players stake allegiance with one of the four unique guilds, each will participate as a team as individual players in a series of planning, play, and social sessions which make up the prelude and three distinct acts of the grand narrative. Not only will players negotiate alliances and resolve challenges with other teams, they will decide how to spend campaign resources to leverage special abilities and further the power and advantage of their preferred guild. They will also discover the true nature of a massive godbeast which has arrived floating in the skies above the fields, mountains, cities, and canals of Dawnland. The grand narrative, as previous years, will feature a variety of events including team planning sessions and epic Triumph & Treachery games, along with the popular Ships of Renown event, and a big coalition of death game across multiple tables involving many players. Tickets for the convention and associated events are available now at https://novaopenstore.com/Home/EventContainer/17 and the preliminary event pack is HERE. The team is still finalizing some details. Any questions can be emailed to customerservice@novaopen.com

  5. We hosted our 2nd year of AoS games at NOVA Open in 2016 and had a great time with a new narrative event which included 9 rounds of games in a linked series set in a small region of the Realm of Shadows. You can read a general report of the narrative with lots of pictures here: https://fancywars.wordpress.com/2016/09/24/age-of-sigmar-narrative-event-at-nova-open-2016/ We're planning a larger narrative event in 2017, bringing back the ships we had last year along with some new features, calling it a grand narrative, which will include large and small battles across 6 different but linked events with 13 rounds of games to continue the struggle in Dawnland over the course of the 4-day convention during Labor Day weekend. I welcome and appreciate any feedback in the next week before registration goes live on February 1st concerning the player's guide on the PRIMER LINK. The post for this event in Virginia, USA is on the TGA CALENDAR And you can find out more about all of the AoS events we're planning--a matched play GT, a doubles team tournament, and a KidsHammer event here: http://www.novaopen.com/age-of-sigmar/ Edit: Link for 2016 report updated.
