New Faction Idea: Champions of Malice

So, my idea is a Mal-themed chaos faction with a mixture of daemon and mortal units. I still haven't really decided on the allegiance abilities, but here is what i have so far: Let the tyrants fall: Re-roll hit rolls of 1 when attacking an Order or Chaos unit. Strength from Ruin: Every round from 1 to 5, gain a new ability. 1. Uncontrolled frenzy: Re-roll charge rolls of 2-4. 2. Break Hammerhal: When you make a hit roll of 6+ in melee combat, you can instantly make another attack using the same weapon. 3. Unbreakable Will: When a model suffers a wound, roll a D6. On a 6+, the unit ignores the wound. 4. Chant of Anarchy: All enemy models within 3" from any friendly models add d3 to all Bravery tests. 5. Take no Prisoners: All friendly units can run and charge o the same turn. The army style will be about Killing Heroes and mostly based around flexibility. Here is what my ideas are for units: Lord of Anarchy-Combat hero, stronger in one on one fights against heroes. Lord of Anarchy on Winged Steed-Combat hero, stronger in one on one fights against heroes, rides o a giant flying frost-breathing wolf. Lore Burner-Standard wizard, unique spell controls an enemy unit for 1 turn on a 9+.
  2. So in the last few months, I've fallen into the usual trap of getting distracted - by new shiny releases, old rediscovered projects, etc. As a result I've fallen behind in what I'm meant to be focusing on - a new Destruction army for this year's 6 Nations in Scotland, and finishing off my Golden Demon entries in Warhammer Fest in May. Oh - and regularly updating this blog. I think I can probably file that under "never gonna happen" So - to business! With Golden demon just under a month away I've been furiously painting, trying to get entries ready for the big day. I've a few WIP images but i'll share those at a later date, once the competition is over - as only some are AOS related they may not interest the vast majority of readers here However, on the new army side of things I can show off some images. For this year's Six Nations in scotland, I've decided to shelve my flesh eaters, and build up a destruction army. In case you're not aware, one of the rules is that each team needs to bring a minimum of 1 grand allegiance each. In our local scene there arent many destruction playser, so I decided that I'd take the initiative and build up an Ogor army, using my old 8th ed army as a basis. I always liked the ogors as an army. The relatively low model count allows me to go all out with conversions, freehand details, etc. I also liked the idea of building an army that wasn't seen everywhere. I've never counted myself as being overly "competitive" so building a cool themed army was more important to me. The rough concept I'm working with is a roaming tribe of ogors on the plains of Ghur. I'm gonna lean into the tribal motif, so tribal tattoos, shamanic masks, etc. The list is built around the gutbuster wartribe batallion As it stands, the list is as follows: Butcher (140) - Artefact : Collar of Domination Tyrant (160) - General - Command Trait : Might is Right - Great Gutgouger - Artefact : Battered Talisman Units 9 x Ironguts (600) 3 x Ogors (120) -Ogor Clubs or Blades with Iron Fists 6 x Leadbelchers (280) 12 x Ogors (400) -Ogor Clubs or Blades with Iron Fists 6 x Ogors (240) -Ogor Clubs or Blades with Iron Fists Gutbuster Wartribe (60) Total: 2000/ 2000 I'm playing around with using the old Bragg the Gutsman model as a tyrant, converted to have a Baron Samedi feel - complete with battered top hat! I'll try and keep some updates of how the army looks as i finish off units. For now, the aim is to get everything built and on the right bases. Starting Kharadron

Hello, I’m getting into age of Sigmar and realized that compared to the other start collecting boxes, the Kharadron Overlords is very underwhelming. I still want to get into the army but I’m not sure which direction to take. Any advice?

    Need help-first army death

Hey guys I have a question about painting and army building. Currently i can't choose between Start collecting flesheater-courts or start collecting beastclaw raiders. I love both army's looks and playing style, all though i am not sure which one is harder to paint. I know the points for both armies. If it's not too much, it would be reeally nice if you could show me the size of the miniatures (picture) in comparison to a hand. Also which army is the more expansive to collect, because BCR have a very small model count, while FEC units can be converted to a bunch of things (start collecting box alone has a huge amount of choices.) Thank you for reading!
  5. Hey guys currently I am stuck beetwen BCR and FEC. Both look AWESOME and fun to paint, andi was wondering which is better right now. (also could you give a picture of an of them (in comparison to a hand))

  8. Hey guys justa quick question: Whatts the size of a terrorgheist?i am thinking about starting AOS with one start collecting box and i am confused about the size of a terrorgheist If anyone could send me a picture comparing it to a hand it would be great.
  9. So this year me and my family moved to Paris and I accidentally bumped on Games Workshop on the internet.I saw there are a few shops in Paris near me so I decided to give it a go.I bought an essentials kit and a few space marines (the starter kit of 3) so i could learn to paint, as well as getting started with age of sigmar (book). SO, in September it's my birthday and i was thinking about buying a start collecting box and that's where the problem starts. I like the beastclaw raiders a lot (also slaves to darkness and seraphon), but i was worried that I may not have the skill to paint them. Of course I don't have enough money or skill to go with white, so i was a thinking about a brown color scheme. (probably mournfang brown with some drybrushing) I probably have enough paint from my citadel essentials box set to paint ogres and I also heard they are cheaper to collect because they have a very small army. So are beastclaw raiders a good choice for a first army or do you think i should buy something like slaves to darkness or seraphon? ( Also if it's not too much could you show me a beastclaw model ( and a carnosaur if you have him) in comparison to a hand picture because i am not sure of the size) Thank you for reading.

  11. Hi guys, I'm just starting age of sigmar and i don't know what to choose : I like slaves to darkness and beastclaw raiders, because i don't know which one is more expansive to collect. I know beastclaw raiders starting box is around 800 points, so if anyone knows the points of slaves to darkness box please tell me. Also if anyone here has an army could (if it's not too much) show me a picture of the size of the models, because i don't know that as well Thank you for reading
  12. Me and a few mates have never played AOS before and thinking of picking it up and building 2000pt armies. What were looking into doing is some kind of ongoing campaign where we can build our armies up whilst playing over say the next 6 months. One game a month where we have a deadline of either a certain points or certain troop types built and painted ready to play. Similar to white dwarfs tale of four warlords. Just wondering if any of you guys have attempted this successfully and any tips and help with suggestions of game types for different points levels and views on doing it points or specific units? If i can create something with a ongoing narrative for it aswell will be a bonus. As a bit of a guide these are the armies 3 of us have picked - Nurgle mortal, death and a Sylvaneth army. Cheers
  13. So, I was listening to an episode of Facehammer yesterday, which had Russ and Byron discussing their new army projects and the approaches they were taking to them. As I'm thinking about starting a new army for Age of Sigmar, I found this a great episode and got me thinking about a lot of things. But I'm wondering what approach do you guys take when starting a new army project? Do you do something based upon some cool model you wanted to paint, or did you read some cool story and wanted to do something based upon that?
