  1. So I just got the Grand Alliance Chaos book (Agents of Chaos) and noticed some changes in the book to Tzeentch. I don't understand why the Tzeentch abilities make so little sense to me - here are some examples. Our leader ability boosts the value of other abilities for a triple - okay, not that useful - but then they make most of our abilities not dependent on the value of an ability (locus of sorcery is probably the only viable option to actually use it with, since the arcanite double ability doesn't depend on value) The Ogroid Thaumaturges newly reworded ability is literally just a worse version of Onslaught - if your ogroid has taken 15 or more points of damage then you get to add 1 to the attack characteristic of melee until the end of the battle round; its literally just onslaught but has an extra requirement; I mean why is this a thing? [again another ability that cannot benefit from Master of Destiny] Guided by the Future for our skyfires is a quad which has added restrictions on who you can use it on - and yet its effect is the same as the non-restricted stormcast triple that castigators have. Its like all our abilities are lesser versions of other abilities, and our primary leader ability is nigh unusable. The one stellar ability I thought we had was still hit or miss, but was the Warptongue Blade on the Gaunt Summoner which has now been nerfed. They capped out the damage on a roll of 6 to 3 - and the summoner has less wounds, and costs more points. I like some of the Tzeentch units, but honestly, it feels like they got the shaft when it comes to abilities in Warcry - other people's thoughts? Am I just looking at this wrong - what's the situation? Do you think this is an intentional design choice or just a lack of consideration?
  2. Wondering how to run a Grand Alliance of Death Army with FEC, LoN, NH, and OBR. Is there anything out there that has rules for that? I'm mainly asking because most death factions have their own mechanics and rules that they need to be able to run, and those are highly dependent on their allegiance abilities. Like OBR relentless discipline points. So I'm trying to figure out how to run an army made up of all death. I mean they have similar mechanics for the most part but just called different abilities. Also what would be used for battleline? Just the LoN battleline? Or battle line from any of them? If anyone has any suggestions or can direct me where to find rules for this it would be much appreciated.

  4. Do battalions count as being a part of the grand alliance their faction is from. A facebook post made me do a nose-bridge pinch, after I realised that only the sub-faction keyword is listed... Basically, rules as written (unless i missed something) it looks like faction battalions use ally points in grand alliance forces. Please tell me I'm wrong, because that would be utterly ridiculous. ?
  5. Ok guys I need some help making a 1000pt death list which MUST include Arkhan. I do already have a simple 1000pt death list but I have a game coming up in a week which I need to include Arkhan for reasons. I'm stuck making a list that'll actually work so maybe one of you amazing people have some awesome ideas Thanks for the help!
  6. Hi I'm running a goat posse 2000pts deep and was wondering if Brayherd alliegence or Grand Alliance Chaos was the better bet? I'm leaning toward Chaos with the Wildstalker battalion. This seems to give me enough bodies, some very useful buffs and Ambush with access to more toys. Is it worth giving up Herdstones and forgoing the Brayherd traits & warfare for?
  7. The Grand Alliance books are largely obsolete now, but I was thinking today what the future for them could hold. Do we think we will see updates for them? Currently they are pretty much just a collection of warscrolls, however in future it could be a good place to update warscrolls and even add allegiance abilities for factions still lacking them, perhaps with points in the back. Whilst it's ground covered mostly by GHB I feel there could still be a place for these books in the future

I'm a little confused about allegiances and in particular Kharadron overlords and Order. so my question is this, If i take an army that has both Stormcast eternals and kharadron overlords do i get to pick from either Stormcast Allegiance, Kharadron Allegiance or Order, or can I only use the Order allegiance? Also can i use things like the Dracoth traits if I use Kharadron allegiance and vice versa for the Great Endrinworks? Thanks in advance
  9. Here in the Mitten (Michigan) there aren't a ton of people playing Age of Sigmar. I have been wracking my brain on what is a good way to approach this challenge. We have 3 gaming stores within less then 30 minutes of each other. I have started a group page on FaceBook, what am I missing? Demo games? My best friend is taking a second look at AOS as we both started playing when it first came out and had balance issues and need fine tuning. I am hoping he gives it a second chance as the game is so much better now.
