  1. Skragrott, Da Loonking No, your eyes do not deceive you – I did paint a goblin. If you follow me on Instagram, you probably already know how this went, but over the last month or so I was working on this chap as my entry for the Everchosen competition. Why the Loonking? No idea really, other than it being a fantastic model with loads of different things to paint, and being something entirely different to anything I’d painted for a long old time. I think the last time I’d painted any greenskin was way back in the days of 2nd Ed 40k. This chap was loads of fun though, even if all the mushrooms did drive me slightly crazy. That burnt yellow is fast becoming my new favourite colour to paint, and it was interesting to see how this model would look with my muted, Blanchitsu style applied to it. In terms of the competition itself, I entered the Loonking in the main category, and the King-In-Horns into the Open. How did I do? Well…. Silver place for both, which I was and still am incredibly happy with. I’m very aware that my style isn’t to everyone's taste, and definitely isn’t a GW/Eavy Metal competition winning style, so these results were way more than I expected. And it’s given me a hankering to do some more greenskins for AoS at some point… And finally, Their Highnesses are still on display in-store at GW, which is always a lovely thing: A few personal-view issues with how the competition was promoted and is run by GW aside, I think it was a great idea overall, and fantastic for those of us who cant spare the time, money, or patience to get along to one of the Fests or Golden Daemon competitions. More of this kind of thing please, GW. Knave
  2. Hey guys! Realized I should probably post my batreps that I've been making. I play Skaven, Gloomspite and LoN. I've been making a habit of doing overhead time lapse videos of my games and doing commentary with my opponents afterwards. It's been a ton of fun and I really think it's made me a better player for having to go back and analyze my gameplay. Fair warning, it isn't a traditional batrep style where we show dice rolls or anything, they're usually 30min and just an overview of how the game went, what worked or didn't work, and what we might've changed in hindsight. I'll post my batreps on this thread, hope y'all like them!
  3. So I finally got started on my Gitz. Just some highlights to apply to the wood & metals and to base them. Quite happy with how they came out myself.
  4. Skaven are done. And I realized that I forgot to put up a Blog uzpdate for the Gloomspite Gitz, so I'll link them too. If you're waiting for Flesh-Eater Courts, a workable version will follow today. A minor update for them follows as soon as I get hold of a high res picture of the battletome cover artwork. And of course, updates in a few weeks when the release errata drop.

Age of Sigmar started out simple enough. But the first General's Handbook changed a lot of things. Suddenly you could personalise a few things for your army with command traits for your general and artefacts for your heroes. Then dropped the first battletomes which included allegiance abilities. And the amount grew rapidly. Because I don't like flipping back and forth in my books for every other ability, I created some cards to help keep the important rules right at the table, beside your models. All cards are available as print files with 3mm bleed and cutting marks, as a 'web' version (for viewing on smartphones/tablets), US letter and DIN A4 printing sheet. each set contains: cover / card backside, Battle Traits, Command Traits, Artefacts, cards for spell lores and faction specific skills card size is 63 x 88 mm (same as Pokemon, Magic, 40k Datacards, etc.) language: English I tried to keep the original wording, but sometimes I had to abbreviate it to fit on the card without scaling down the font size. The rule intentions should still be clear. 'Dice' was continuously replaced with D3 or D6, 'wound roll' with 'To-Wound roll' (same for hit), 'Mortal Wounds' sometimes with 'MW' each set can be stored in a faction specific card box, with contents listed on the back (instructions) If you find any errors or have suggestions, please let me know. I had fun creating these cards and hope people will find them useful and have fun using them in their games. All rules, artwork and the Age of Sigmar logo © Games Workshop PLC These cards are for personal use only and you should always keep your General's Handbook and/or Battletome nearby to solve any conflicts from bad wording on the cards. These cards are only a playing aid and never could nor should replace an official publication. Please let me know if I have used anything you would like to be removed. Overview and changes
  6. Night goblins... This blog was waiting for quite some time(as had my army of Night Goblins on the shelf). I used to have the 4th ed WFB set + pack of night gobbos back i n the days but sold almost everything in the 90s. Fortunately my mother saved couple of units as a memory of my early teenager-hood hobby. 20 years later( more or less) when End Times dropped on WFB I decided to come back to the hobby. And this is what I found in my mother basement: When I saw my old Night Goblins I decided to get back to painting and maybe wargaming too. That were the End Times in the Old World. I loved that fluff and still remembered all the O&G timeline and stories so decided to create my own background for my army. And buy back all I have sold before... And more... Literally buy EVERYTHING night gobbo related! I don't want even to think of the amount of money I have spent on eBay, ForgeWorld, GW products, Gamezone etc. Everything in pointy hoods I was buying like crazy. And at the same time started creating fluffy background for my army. I decided to create unique backstory and look of the army and than paint it to the highest level possible for me to have a real collection not to be sold again. DA FLUFF: I decided to continue the story of Grom Da Paunch after his defeat. To make the long story short (as this is the World that Was...)- after being defeated in Ulthuan, Grom got captured by Dark Elves and became a prisoner in the mines in Naggaroth. As a born leader he started an uprising with other gobbo prisoners. Thanks to the ancient dance like martial arts invented by NG prisoners - Da Gobboeira - a dance with a chain ball - they managed to escape the dark elves prison, gathered all former captives and formed a great Waaaagh! of toughest survivors on the continent. DA JAILBREAKAZ! As an inspiration for the look of my army I took the poster from "Brother where are thou" by Coen Brothers: And this is how the "jail" motive started: And this was my Skarsnik: (I don't remember how he got to Naggaroth but there was some fluff behind that): It took me longer time to finish my project than the End Times. It was even longer than that... Because I wanted to paint every mini like a character model it took me even couple of years after AoS started to finish the core of my army. But now when the Gloomspite Gitz book arrived. I started rebasing, and finishing my main army. And redesigning the fluff. Stay tuned. The pictures here are from 2014-15 and a lot more to come. A LOT.
