Elsvera Von Heinria, Magistrix of magic. Her family once led large covens of battlemages and sorceresses into battle as well as supporting the city through their magical abilities. now, she leads only a small handful of students as they slowly rebuild the city. her magic alongside her dragon Indraugnir was vital as part of the assault on the Plaguekeep. blasting apart the walls with concentrated breaths of fire and dark magic. Since the city has started to being rebuilt, she has come under suspicion for the continued plague that corrupts the land by Lord Valus, who has taken up an anti magic sentiment after the destruction of the city and the continued problems plagueing the rebuilding efforts. but she has continued seeing the construction of a large observatory on help with her viewing the future. currently her magic is being blocked and she only sees darkness, but their is a glimmer a rising leering skull that is becoming ever clearer, what that means she does not know. but for the future sake of the city, she is determined to see it's survival.

Hello Group Mind ((TL/DR version of this post: help me, effectively a newbie (I last played WH in 2012), put together a 1500 point dark elf (aelf?) list. Skip to the last paragraph to see my initial list, please critique.)) After a seven year rage quit, I think I’m ready to try AoS 3e. I want to take my old army - Dark Elves - and make them AoS complaint. The think is I don’t want to invest any more cash than I already have (at least now), and I’d like to be at least be kind of competitive (if possible). I want to make a 1500 point list from the ground up, at least to start. What I have in my collection is as follows: Sorceress on black dragon One unbuilt black dragon and rider kit One 10 man unit a spears and one 30 man unit a spears 7 dark riders One 10 man unit of Xbows and one 20 unit of Xbows one twenty man unit of Corsairs A ridiculous number of Cold One cav (more than 30) 10 executioners 30 black guard 2 Hydras An assortment of characters: at least 2 sorceresses (and a sorcerer! That’s how old some of this army is ..) and seven or eight assassins (and a Beast-Lord on manticore who’ll never see the battlefield again 🤬) Other units like (lots of) witch elves, artillery, and skirmishers which don’t have rules anymore or I can’t take in a CoS list. So honestly, my first idea for a list is something like a Dark Lord on Dragon (300), 2 10 man Cold One Cav (300 X 2), 2 hydras (170 X 2), 2 sorceresses (160) and a unit of dark shards (100) for 1500 points. How does this list sound? Also, if you’re not already bored of my post, what would you do next for another 500 points? Thanks so much in advance everybody!!

Hello, My journey into AoS is primarily that of a model maker and painter. I'm (very loosely 😂) familiar with the rules but really what draws me to this world is the carte blanche we've been given by GW to create what ever armies we want and bring to life some incredible looking models. To that end, the narrative and story behind a unit or force is the most important aspect to me and I find that an understanding of this really helps to identify what it is I want from the model in the end. This unfortunately means I have a myriad of ideas clogging up note books, post-its and memos on my phone that will probably never see the light of day and a smaller number of actual forces that have been begun, but being the typical hobby magpie the we all are, but have to endure glacial progress. Such is the addiction to plastic crack... This force came about after following the work of several other hobbyists on instagram. The siege of peck hashtag caught my attention and if you haven't had a chance to check this out I strongly recommend you do as there are some very talented people at work for kroot forces for this years adepticon. Any how, I decided I wanted to do something with kroot as a result and as such came up with the idea of a sentient race living in the realms at a place of intense magic (explaining their humanoid but not too human appearance) and had recently been discovered by the forces of Sigmar. I'm hoping if I can keep motivated and focused on this setting I'll be able to create my own little distinct corner of the mortal realms but we'll see... 😄 This force is going to be of aelve pirates who being down on their luck recently have decided the newly discovered kroot species would make an exciting new exotic choice for willing buyers back in the free cities. As such I'll be using various units from Cities of Sigmar with proxies here and there to make it gel together. Hopefully. These will be 'count as' executioners for the force and the bodyguards of the slave fleet's commandant. Thought to replace the traditional skull masks with the blank Dark Eldar helmets. Here we have the dark shards starting to take shape. With each of the units in the force I wanted a genuine mix of outfits and gear to show how individual pirates tailored their get up to their acquired tastes. The idea would be that when painting up this force, those members of the slave fleets crew that have only recently joined would have a more rag tag appearance than some of the longer members who have managed to conform with the commandant's desired dress code. The dread spears of the force are used to push and prod any catches that prove to be particularly disagreeable as well as fulfil a military role when fighting other forces. They allow the pirates to pin their foe in place and then move quicker elements into position to flank or indeed fly in from above (the use of scourge legs gives an nice 'hitting the deck' feel). Here we have the first of what will be the main body of the force in the shape of black ark corsairs. I decided to start by giving a mix of weapons so I could field them in either of the load outs on the war scroll but may expand this to encompass an whole unit of each... Again as you will see the figures are in various stages of WIP but you get the general idea of what they'll look like. Here is the colour scheme for the force. It was largely inspired by some Custodes I saw in my local Warhammer shop and with my different forces I don't really like painting repeat colours, in that I like to have a'blue' army, a 'red' army, etc because that way each force will give me opportunities to try new and exciting things out. This is a base and wash done just to get an idea of how the finished scheme may look. The weapon shaft is still unpainted as I can't for the life of me settle on a colour I want it to be. I like to have colours that clash to some degree so that the different parts of the figure can be more easily noticed, so the metal of the weapon is Balthasar Gold if any of you guys have a suggestion of what may look good with that... Here's ends the introduction to my little slave fleet, hopefully by the next post I'll have a name and some more narrative fleshed out along with some more complete units. Thanks for reading!!!

Age of Sigmar started out simple enough. But the first General's Handbook changed a lot of things. Suddenly you could personalise a few things for your army with command traits for your general and artefacts for your heroes. Then dropped the first battletomes which included allegiance abilities. And the amount grew rapidly. Because I don't like flipping back and forth in my books for every other ability, I created some cards to help keep the important rules right at the table, beside your models. All cards are available as print files with 3mm bleed and cutting marks, as a 'web' version (for viewing on smartphones/tablets), US letter and DIN A4 printing sheet. each set contains: cover / card backside, Battle Traits, Command Traits, Artefacts, cards for spell lores and faction specific skills card size is 63 x 88 mm (same as Pokemon, Magic, 40k Datacards, etc.) language: English I tried to keep the original wording, but sometimes I had to abbreviate it to fit on the card without scaling down the font size. The rule intentions should still be clear. 'Dice' was continuously replaced with D3 or D6, 'wound roll' with 'To-Wound roll' (same for hit), 'Mortal Wounds' sometimes with 'MW' each set can be stored in a faction specific card box, with contents listed on the back (instructions) If you find any errors or have suggestions, please let me know. I had fun creating these cards and hope people will find them useful and have fun using them in their games. All rules, artwork and the Age of Sigmar logo © Games Workshop PLC These cards are for personal use only and you should always keep your General's Handbook and/or Battletome nearby to solve any conflicts from bad wording on the cards. These cards are only a playing aid and never could nor should replace an official publication. Please let me know if I have used anything you would like to be removed. Overview and changes-

So I decided to finish up one of the heroes of the army and there really isn't much else to say. This guy (below) was easy to pile into an afternoon. Everything is neatly divided on the model and the cape has lots of flats which allows for easy blending (which I definitely still need to practice). Further, I'll admit the lighting is a little off but I was trying a sharp contrast - if he was leaping out of the darkness and into the light. I've also finished up some sisters of silence, but I'm saving those for another post. In other news I'm planning on branching over into painting some high aelves as a side job. Having a read of the rules behind phoenix guard seem like they could be what this army is missing (still within an army of Order). Question is, do I paint them to match or in contrast with my current darkling colour scheme? The flamespyre/frostheart phoenix also seems like it packs a real punch. Has anyone had any gameplay with any of these models (phoenix guard or phoenix)? Here is Shadowblade, the master assassin. "Fables of his grisly adventures are already used as stores to scare Dark Elf children, a litany of murder and terror that grows longer and bloodier with each passing day." Clue
