Hi there everyone! I've been wargaming since I was a kid in the early 90's. Mostly Warhammer (currently AoS), 40k & Necromunda. Returned to the hobby after a long hiatus a few years ago, and started a blog last year. I really like to see what other people are up with their hobby projects, and would also like to share some of my stuff here. So sharing of inspiration is a big thing for me. Here's a few pics from the most recent projects from this year.
Hey guys, I've been posting this all over the orc tga pages with zero luck. This seems like a great place to find out about economic building/converting. I'm wanting to build this out in an economic way. But having never worked with the sprues and only seeing photos it's hard to tell tbh. 30 savage orruks 30 arrowboyz 12 big stabbas 5 pigs 2 Wardokk 1 Maniak wierdnob Any tips, tricks, advice, or experience with a similar situation? Thanks in advance!
Last year John Blanche hosted an event called The Pilgrym: It featured several converted warbands set in the 40k universe (all characters had background and their own model) and ended in a huge multiplayer battle, in which the players wrote their own rules. The picture below is one of the converted warbands. I was reading White Dwarf the other day, coming across this, and thought it might be fun to do an AoS version of the same thing. You'd need a converted and painted warband of about five or six models, and the background could be written as a whole. The game would be using skirmish rules, in the sense that everything would be it's own unit, but monsters would definitely be allowed, as would models not specifically mentioned in the skirmish book. Any thoughts, ideas or anything would certaintly be welcome.
I'd entered the Budget of Sigmar 2: Electric Boogaloo challenge a month or so ago. The challenge is to paint a small force where every model is converted. I thought my focus on Alarielle would put a fork in my hobby challenge, but I decided to try and get back on it. I've converted (barely) a unit of 10 chaos warriors and base coated them alongside finishing the test model for the army. The conversion is really simple - I just added savage Orruk spears and shields to the 10 guys. The base coat is just green wash over the silver base coat and then picking out details. The top of the cloaks are white to tie in with my existing warrior army too.
