  1. Hi guys - new user on the forum here, though I've been slowly building my Rotbringers army since AoS first came out last summer. Just wanted to show off my army in progress: Blightkings: Sorcerer: My Giant, which has been completed since, unfortunately no finished photos: My Harbinger of Decay: Now, some WIP pics: Chaos Trolls: Skull Cannon of Kh... I mean Nurgle: Beast: And my Soul Grinder of Nurgle: I also have 3 plague Drones, a converted Great Unclean one (maggots lord based), a Daemon Prince and a unit of plague bearers in the works - more to come. All comments and critique is appreciated.
  2. Hi guys, I open another project up. Since I have soul wars I have some nighthaunt models (actually nothing build yet because of other stuff, but will prepare this thread that I can use it for them as well) but I also started Flesh Eater Courts with the Carrion Empire Box set and bought some stuff there too. In fact, at least I started building the flesh Eater Courts models. My actual models (when build) should look like this. Abhorrant Ghoul King on Royal Zombie Dragon Abhorrant Archregent Crypt Haunter Courtier Crypt Ghast Courtier Varghulf Courtier 20 x Crypt Ghouls 20 x Crypt Ghouls 20 x Crypt Ghouls 6 x Crypt Horrors 6 x Crypt Horrors Chalice of Ushoran Corpsemare Stampede Cadaverous Barricade perhaps I will buy 1-2 more start collecting boxes as well for a Abhorrant Ghoul King on Royal Terrorgheist and some Crypt Flayers The only special model I can show is my Varghulf. Those of you, who know my Twitter Account, will already know him. I used mostly the parts of the plastic Daemon Prince.
  3. Whilst i putter away on fun side projects to distract myself I finally have the funds to start a new army, as with all of my older projects this will be conversion centric and something I can put unique flair and effort into. The issue is with the way my mind works I'm awash with potential concepts but finding it hard to settle on a fixed one to develop further. To give some context here are my past projects Fire Aelves - Born of the realm of fire these defiant aelves were in hiding (before morathis lot got announced) led by their demi goddess phoenix queen. The army was flame centric in paint scheme and came from scrolls all across the order faction. Stormcast (Anvils) - One of the few stock army concepts admittedly with alot of model conversions thrown in, again flame centric as it was built for the narrative campaign to go with the above. Trees of Shyish - A planned tournament army that got scrapped due to work commitments. The acolytes of Morghur reborn these skeletal trees were unlike other Sylvaneth Watery Ogres - Based around the toad dragon this beastclaw force led a great storm (as opposed to a blizzard) ravaging the coastlines to pillage and plunder As you can see there's a fair variety but i tend to lean toward forces of order, and with the Idoneth announcement as much as I'd love to do them I suspect they will become one of the most seen armies on the table and thus their appeal is massively tarnished to me. So I'm open to suggestions of themes or units to build and create an army around, aslong as its GW model centric I'll consider almost anything but searching for that specific spark. Any help welcome!
  4. Because nobody should suffer failcast in their army. Not exactly a novel idea, but I might have a deeper bitz box than most. Kairos's book really sells it, I think.
  5. This is a collection of projects, which I partly started since 2017, but didn't do much since. Partly they are opponents of other projects. The first post is a collection of the lists. Later a short review of the years 2017 and 2018 will follow. Skaven (Clan Machi) Nurgle Darkoath Khorne
  6. Hi, this will be a big one (actually like most of my projects). Here I have a project that combines most of the aelf factions. Some of this stuff was actually in blogs before. Here are the actual armylists, structures as the Aelfengroups and subgroups Frostaelfs Fyreaelfs Shadowaelfs Not definied aelfen groups Next will be the stuff I already posted in blogs. Fanmade Battletomes latest release: Brotherhood of Korhil current Version

  8. So, I had an idea for an army, basically it's just as many monsters as I can get. I'm gonna use all sorts of monsters from multiple grand alliances (meaning it's mostly an open play army) but it's gonna mostly be an Order army. The main idea is that it's a bunch of Empire soldier deserters who have decided to go hunt big game in the wilds of Ghur. So i'll be replacing all the riders/passengers with some wild looking Empire dudes There's a bit of backstory and character in my head, just have to try to put it into words... Another part will be painting all the animals like Australian animals, it's something I haven't seen before and as an Aussie I thought it would be a fun idea, also it'll teach me how to paint colours I don't normally use. So anyway onto the pictures (Sorry for the average pictures, these are the first one I've taken with my new phone) Some gryphhounds Kookaburra, Magpie, Cockatoo. These guys were my test/proof of concept models. A Stegadon Still needs quite a bit of GS to de-Seraphon the markings on the howdah. He's gonna be painted like a frill-necked lizard. I also made a test passenger for it. There's obviously going to be a lot of 'counts-as' in this army, His gun will count as a skink spear Also the start of a spider Probably gonna use an empire cannon as a web flinger on this guy, still need to figure out how though. He's gonna be painted like a red=backed spider So, That's what I have so far... Thoughts?
  9. Arygyl was a Sheppard, an ancient tradition of the old gargants. Herding and maintaining the food beasts his tribe depended on, but they never gave him and respect or thanks. Until he heard a voice, at the edge of the Deepwood, both a whisper and a scream it called to him. All day and all night he heard the voice, calling him into the dark. He gave in and went searching for the voice, determined to give it a good thumping. What he found changed him, more than he could have ever known. The great entity he calls the Many Eyed began to bargain with him, promising him greatness in the forms of physical strength and dark magics. Never being one of station the opportunity to rule over his own kingdom was too much to pass up and he accepted. As herald of the Many Eyed he began his reign of terror, those first victims were his former tribe, all perished in a night of darkness and slaughter. Arygyl the Sheppard is a Grot shaman for my spiderfang army Paint job still needs some work but he's getting there
  10. So, for my current project I plan to customise my sylvaneth and wanderer army. And what is an army without some awesome big bad boys...or ladies Drycha is one of these awesome models. And I always wanted to have a celestant prime in my army. But since the style of the original model doesn't fit so well with sylvaneth (at least thats my point of view), I started to build my own one in sylvaneth style The base of the model is build from the Drycha set. I rearranged the leg and arm parts for a more epic pose. I exchanged the torso and head with some leftover bits from Morathi. The weapon is supposed to be a big hammer, but I'm not quite happy yet. The basing should resemble the celestant prime pose - some magic lifting her in the air. I used the whirlwind parts from the Yncarne (40k), which I will pimp with some leaves to look like a autumn storm InShot_20180527_222204552.mp4 I plan to build a modular base, so I can use both the oval base for Drycha or a treelord/lady and the big circular base for the prime. More updates will follow soon
  11. Hello all! If you've been paying attention to total war news like I have, then you know about the vampire coast dlc coming out. The lore for the faction was amazing, and I figured that they would fit into AOS pretty well with some changes, So thats what I plan on doing!
  12. Hi Guys, I actually had this project for quite some time here in the TGA-Community (august 2017) as a blog (with 1041 Views at the moment) Actually don't know, if blogs don't get much attention. So, perhaps I should do a thread here to. What happened until now. (in 2 parts 2017 and 2018) The Project actually started as a Ghyran Freeguild Projekt (before Generals Handbook 2017 arrived) The list was actually planned like this: Heroes Battlemage (100) Battlemage (100) Excelsior Warpriest (80) War Altar Of Sigmar (250) Warrior Priest (80) - Sigmarite Warhammers Warrior Priest (80) - Sigmarite Greathammer Warrior Priest (80) - Sigmarite Warhammer & Shield Witch Hunter (60) - Pistol & Silver Greatsword Sigismund (100) Freeguild General - Great Weapon Schwester Christina (100) Freeguild General - Great Weapon Freeguild General (100) - Stately War Banner Battleline 20 x Flagellants (160) - Devoted of Sigmar Battleline 20 x Flagellants (160) - Devoted of Sigmar Battleline 10 x Freeguild Archers (100) 10 x Freeguild Archers (100) 10 x Freeguild Archers (100) 20 x Freeguild Guard(160) - Speer, Schild 20 x Freeguild Guard (160) - Speer, Schild 20 x Freeguild Guard (160) - Schwert, Schild 10 x Freeguild Guard (80) - Hellebarde 10 x Sisters of the Watch (220) - Wanderers Battleline (Waywatcher General) 10 x Sisters of the Watch (220) - Wanderers Battleline (Waywatcher General) 6 x Demigryph Knights (320) - Lance and Sword - Free Peoples Battleline Units 20x Freeguild Greatswords (300) Most parts should be an Ghyran Order, called "order of the yellow rose" at this state, an monastery with Ranger optics. In the starting time. I created those Miniatures: Free Guild General (later Loremaster) Freeguild Archers (later Gladeguard) Freeguild Guard Battlemage With some other WIPs in this year: Greatswords Freeguild Guard Do to some switching between projects. The project was than interrupted until May 2018.

    Bogdrinker Gargant

Even the deep marshes and the boggy moors of the Realms are not untouched by the destruction of the Gargants, through the lurking shadow and impenetrable mists they lurk waste deep in the repugnant waters soaking up their fetid stench. Such a pungent odour whilst repellent is a boon to all those these Bog Drinkers would seek to consume, the soft mud of their marshes homes conceal the footfalls of even titanic Gargants and were it not for their odour these monsters could have their fill of livestock and innocents. Previously these hideous Gargants would have been content to lurk within their own swamps and bogs, preying upon those who staggered unwittingly into their domain. But even such forgotten corners of the realms have not escaped the wars that now spread like wildfire. The pestilent touch of Nurgle has encroached upon the Bogdrinker homelands, poisoning all they would have called food, worse still comes the touch of Nagash where even their old meals now seek to bite back against the Gargants. As their habitats become increasingly hostile the Bogdrinkers are stirred to move further from their homes, marching onwards toward unwitting new victims Many Bog Drinkers bear noticeable traits from their homeland, massive gills to breath as they lurk just beneath the waters of the marshland, bulbous eyes to see even in the low hanging mists that conceal them. Other have webbed toes and fingers to wade faster through the thickened waters.

  14. Hi fellas, I am new here. I have been sloooowly collecting and building, or at least starting to build a chaos army for AoS. Became a dad recently, so time for hobbies is slim - but I am trying still. I am hopefully going to stash my progress here, as I try to make a full army somewhat based on Masters of the Universe villains. I am going to play them as Slaanesh, but depending how the rules change I might swing a different way at some point. My group decided that we should try AoS as we all were kind of intrigued by it - we are veteran gamers but have had a bit of a break from GW games untill we started playing bloodbowl and it escalated from there. Nowadays building anything as instructed is nigh impossible for me, so I decided to go all in with a theme I really liked. I completed the first of my generals, lord of slaanesh on a daemonic mount / Evil-Lyn and Panthor. I have plenty of other stuff in the works, but I will let her lead the charge as she will in games. I am in no hurry as my time is limited, but hopefully I will add to this collection sooner than later.
  15. Heyo! I'll be using this thread to document my progress as I convert, kitbash, and paint my way through however many hordes of Skaven the Great Horned Rat ask of me. First up is the chainsaw-slingin' yet-to-be-named and properly painted, Arch-Warlock. He's rocking parts from genestealer cults, skitaari, and Ironjawz. I am very unsure on what his color scheme should be, so any suggestions on where to go from here is very welcome
  16. Hello, This year my FLGS is having a "Year of War" slow-grow Path to Glory campaign and painting/modeling contest for each month that culminates in a top-prize for the year in December 2018. Each unit has to be purchased/ordered from there, and is graded on originality, conversions, paintjob, uniformity, and basing. For the first month, we have to pick our General and paint it up, and I have chosen Darkling Covens. I'm going to update this over time.
  17. Vampire Lord Conversion. Body - Slaughterpriest Wings - Vargheists Head and Sword - Knight of Shrouds on Eteral Steed More images: http://wellofeternitypl.blogspot.com/2018/08/warhammer-age-of-sigmar-soulblight.html
  18. So I got two soul wars' worth of castigators. I want to make them into viable deepstrike battle line, Judicators with crossbows. I'm thinking of: Rotating the vertical "bendy parts" of the crossbows to be horizontal instead. Removing the bombs at the tip of the bows (and from the hand of the champion). Perhaps adding sword, pike, or bolt tips from the bits box at the end to represent a resting/ready bolt. I'm not adding any lightning iconography nor the front pavisse. Do you feel that this is enough to be okay against all adversaries?
  19. "Sailing the seas of Ghur for the glory of Khorne!!" Hi everyone, this is my first post here! I've been playing 40k for a few years now and with the new edition of AoS I figured now's a good time to get involved with the other side of warhammer. My idea is one I've had for ages. PIRATES! specifically Khorne pirates! It's basically gonna be a bunch of blood reavers and fish-ified bloodletters As with all my armies, this will be conversion heavy, with no 2 identical models. Still need to come up with a name for the crew and the captain, unfortunately the only thing I can think of is 'Captain Bloodbeard' which is a bit cheesy. A few months ago my friend was selling a bunch of models for the early 2000's cheap so I snapped them up, ended up with a whole bunch of chaos maraurders and empire, So i made a start on some of the lower ranked crew members These guys will just be Khorne alligned chaos marauders. These were test models, the rest have been stripped (as best I can) and should be making more tomorrow! Thoughts?
