I've not played much 3.0 but have a tournament next weekend at 1000pts. I know some will be new players but there will be LRL there and an apparently cheesy Be'lakor list so I've added some crunch to my list. - Stormhost: Hammers of Sigmar - Mortal Realm: Ghur - Grand Strategy: Hold the Line - Triumphs: Bloodthirsty LEADERS Lord-Exorcist (95)** - General - Command Trait: We Cannot Fail - Artefact: God-forged Blade - Spell: Celestial Blades - Spell: Stormcaller Gotrek Gurnisson (435)** - Allies UNITS 3 x Castigators (75)** 5 x Liberators (95)* - Warhammer & Shield - 1 x Grandhammers 5 x Liberators (95)* - Warhammer & Shield - 1 x Grandhammers 5 x Liberators (95)* - Warhammer & Shield 3 x Prosecutors with Celestial Hammers (95)** CORE BATTALIONS *Hunters of the Heartlands **Warlord ADDITIONAL ENHANCEMENTS Spell I know Gotrek may be overkill but I like my paint job so I'm taking him. The spells, command ability, artifact, triumphs, grand strategy are all up for changing. Let me know what you would change. Thanks

Hey guys, I'm completely new to the game and want to get started soon. I want to start off with a 1000 point army for Cities of Sigmar and thought of three lists so far: The first one would be dwarfs: 1 Warden King (100) 1 Runemaster (90) 1 Cogsmith (60) 30 Ironbreakers (240) 30 Longbeards (270) 2 Helblaster Volley Guns (240) for exactly 1k. The second one has even more artillery focus: 1 Warden Kind (100) 1 Runemaster (90) 2 Cogsmiths (120) 30 Longbeards (300) 3 Helstorm Rocket Batteries (390) for exactly 1k. The third one would be mixed and more mobile: 1 Freeguild General (100) 1 Runemaster (90) 30 Handgunners (300) 20 Longbeards (200) 15 Pistoliers (300) for overall 990. Could you please give me some feedback if those armies would be any good and which one you'd expect to perform better? I intend to upgrade whichever i pick to a Greywater Battalion with 4 artillery pieces, once i assemble a 2k army. Any input would be highly appreciated.

So, I'm looking to expand my Ironjawz to a competitive 2k list but I'm not 100% convinced that a pure Ironjawz list would be efficient due to the lack of ability to inflict/resist mortal wounds and model count. The list I think will be most efficient is below. I chosen this to maximize speed and the characters unit buff abilities over the classic cabbage option you see out there. Leaders Orruk Megaboss (140) Battle Brew & Ravager Orruk Megaboss (140) Gem of Seeing Orruk Warchanter (80) Orruk Warchanter (80) Orruk Warchanter (80) Orruk Weirdnob Shaman (120) Battleline 20 x Orruk ‘Ardboys (360) 10 x Orruk-forged Big Choppa’s & 9 x Orruk-forged Choppas & Smashas 10 x Orruk ‘Ardboys (180) 9 x Orruk-forged Choppas & Smashas 10 x Orruk Brutes (360) Boss Klaw & Brute Smasha, 2 x Gore-Choppas, 5 x Jagged Gore-Hacka’s & 2 x Two Brute Choppas 10 x Orruk Brutes (360) Boss Klaw & Brute Smasha, 2 x Gore-Choppas, 5 x Jagged Gore-Hacka’s & 2 x Two Brute Choppas 5 x Orruk Brutes (180) 3 x Two Brute Choppas, Boss Klaw & Brute Smasha & 1 x Gore-Choppas Battalion Ironfist (60) Input would be great. Clearly it lacks shooting & numbers but as I don't have experience in playing 2k games I am unsure if this is such a disadvantage considering the units damage output...

I'm super interested in the Thunderquake (or it might have just been Thunder Lizards) they talked about near the end of the podcast. (Bad Dice Podcast with Seraphon playtesters) Can anyone here post up that list? I'm at work atm so I cant listen to the cast again, but if no one can by the time I am off I'll work on getting it up.

So this is my first real attempt at devising an army list for Age of Sigmar. It's largely a fluffy/fun/casual list based around the ridiculous lore I've been writing for my grots, hence every unit being named, rather than an attempt to be overly competitive or whatever, intended for a points-using narrative game rather than the stricter limits of pitched battles. That said as I've no experience with the system, I'd like some advice on how it would perform, and also if I've made some mathematical blunder somewhere (I hope I got the points values right- I'm used to 40K's "per model" costings rather than AoS's "per unit" system). (EDIT: List obsolete, read the properly pointed and amended list below.) WURRKLOPZ DEFFGAZE BADGOGGLA DA THIRD'S EVIL EYE KOALISSHUN From the Realm of Ulgu Boss Wurrklopz Deffgaze Badgoggla Da Third, Herald ov da Evil Eye- Loonboss with Da Armour ov Many Eyes (Wristbands of Illusion): 70 points. (Trait: Tough 'n' Leathery) Razzagog da Spider-Speaka and Charlotte- Webspinner Shaman on Arachnarok Spider with the Headdress of Many Eyes: 280 points. Spell- Venomous Spiderlings. Da Poison Rainbow- Spiderfang Skitterswarm: 160 points. [Scuttleboss Kriksnik Venombludd and Poppy- Scuttleboss on Gigantic Spider: 100 points. Muzgob's Maraudas- 10 Spider Riders: 100 points. Nazkrag's Jabbas- 10 Spider Riders: 100 points. Yezzik's Robbas- 10 Spider Riders: 100 points. Snaggafang's Skreechas- 10 Spider Riders: 100 points.] Grubnukkle's Hakkas- 40 Stabbas with 34 Stabbas, 6 Barbed Nets, Gong Basher, Flag Bearer and Icon Bearer: 130 points. Skwisheye's Snikkas- 40 Stabbas with 34 Stabbas, 6 Barbed Nets, Gong Basher, Flag Bearer and Icon Bearer: 130 points. Wiggear's Wakkas- 40 Stabbas with 34 Stabbas, 6 Barbed Nets, Gong Basher, Flag Bearer and Icon Bearer: 130 points. Spindlespike- Skitterstrand Arachnarok- 200 points. Flowerfangz- Skitterstrand Arachnarok- 200 points.

Hi All, I've decided to get back into the hobby. I've been out of the hobby since the dropping of WHFB 8th edition so I'm completely new to AoS. In 8th edition I've played both High Elves and Ogre Kingdoms, but I want to start a whole new army. Soulblight! The fast playing style, low model count, general tactics and the models make this the go to army for me. Also budget wise this should be a good army for me as I already know what I like to pick up from the shop. I tried making a list with those models and I'm curious what you guys think of it. The models I'd like to use are: 2x AoS SC Flesheater Courts which contains: 2x VLoZD 2x Flying Horror (Ghoul Kings conversion using the little Vargheist wings) 6x Vargheists 1 box of Tyranid Gargoyle Brood to convert the Ghouls from the SC kit to 10 Fell Bats Probably another 2 boxes of Vargheists The list I came up with using these models would be the following: Death - Soulblight - Swift Death = 2000 Points VLoZD - 440 -General -Lance, shield, chalice VLoZD - 440 -Lance, shield, chalice VL - 140 -Flying Horror VL - 140 -Flying Horror 4x3 Vargheists - 150x4=600 3x3 Fell Bats - 80x3=240 This is exactly 2000 points. I haven't made up my mind about artefact or lore of the vampires. I'd like to know what you think about it so far. If you have any tips or recommendations. If you have any tactical tips for this list? I'll be playing in an AoS group 2 or 3 times a month and there will probably be a tournament two times a year. The list doesn't have to be the most competitive list possible. It has to be a fun and good looking list which is competitive enough that I won't be losing every game.
