The Badfangs - Bonesplitterz of Aqshy. The Badfangs are Bonesplitterz orruks from the dry and windswept Uzmorgarg plains in the wilds of Aqshy. ⬹⦽⤔ Wurrgog Prophet Hogrog Ug Weirdklaw Loaded up with the most potent and powerful of the magic bones his tribe has found, Hogrog has set out into the Realms, leading the Badfangs to hunt down the wild magic of Endless Spells. He has been empowered by the revelation that they are made of the essence of Gorkamorka, and their power can be captured and harvested, just like the power contained within other monsters' bones and teeth. Wardokk Krogdak Krogdak is Hogrog's acolyte, attendant and advisor. He is as mad as an angry Maw-Krusha and leads one of Hogrog's Morboyz mobs. Krogdak is adept at the grimdokk dance, and able to reattach severed limbs and knit flesh-wounds back together. He has patched-up more mangled Orruks than he can count (which sounds a lot less impressive than it actually is). ⬹⦽⤔ I plan on a Skirmish warband of a Wurrgog Prophet, 2 Wardokks, 3 Savage Orruks with Chompa and Shield, 10 Savage Orruk Morboys with Chompa and Toof Shiv, 3 Savage Orruk Arrerboys with Stinga Bows and Chompa, and 2 Savage Orruks with a Big Stabber. I may add a few Forest Goblins I have in my bitz boxes, just for a bit of variety.
After a long while I decided to start some kind of a blog on this forum as I come here quite often and it would be good to leave some trace of my Warclan. The idea of starting a Bonesplitterz army came to my mind after seeing the new Battletome which for me had the same vibe like the oldschool Orcs&Goblins Rulebooks from the 90's when I used to play. As a sentimental hobbyst I decided to use that occasion and bring back the whole range of boyz since the 80's till last plastics. Going through the book it gave me an idea that the oldest models would be perfect for regular boyz as they were much smaller than latest Savages (they are ****** in the game anyway) and the new plastics fit the best as Morboyz, Maniaks and Stabbas. Big and Brutish. So I started browsing on eBay... spent a lot of money and got me a lot of boyz to paint... for next couple of years. I'll add all pictures gathered through last year+ of creating the Warclan. Starting with my recent achievement - The Armies on Parade. I took part in Games Workshop Warsaw (Poland) and won as The Best Scenery and The Best Themed Army. Though the competition wasn't that big (only 4 people taking part in Age of Sigmar in the shop) creating the Warclan and the scenery was a lot of fun. All cards are available as print files with 3mm bleed and cutting marks, as a 'web' version (for viewing on smartphones/tablets), US letter and DIN A4 printing sheet. each set contains: cover / card backside, Realmscape rules, Command Abilities, Realmsphere Magic spells and additional rules for this realm card size is 63 x 88 mm (same as Pokemon, Magic, 40k Datacards, etc.) language: English I tried to keep the original wording, but sometimes I had to abbreviate it to fit on the card without scaling down the font size. The rule intentions should still be clear. 'Dice' was continuously replaced with D3 or D6, 'wound roll' with 'To-Wound roll' (same for hit), 'Mortal Wounds' sometimes with 'MW' each set can be stored in a faction specific card box, with contents listed on the back (instructions) If you find any errors or have suggestions, please let me know. I had fun creating these cards and hope people will find them useful and have fun using them in their games. This entry begins a new series dedicated to the Death Watch, an elite Stormcast (and pseudo-Stormcast) task force dedicated to confronting and eliminating monstrous and unholy threats to the armies of the God-King Sigmar that otherwise might stymie a campaign or threaten the peace of the reclaimed Realms. Its members are hand-picked from among the Stormhosts for their thirst for battle, their proven reliability, and sometimes for the unique perspective they bring, perspectives which sometimes set them at odds with other, more conventional rank-and-file. They are united under the leadership of Lord Celestant Steelios, the Once-Forged, in bringing the end to Sigmar's many foes across the Mortal Realms, in destroying those who corrupt and undermine the works of the Free Peoples, in venturing onto battlefields and facing enemies beyond the reach of mortal Man. They are the messengers of ultimate sanction, the guardians on high, the eternal sentinels, the Death Watch. (Yes, the name and the concept are both closely derived from 40k. Sue me.) Every entry in this series will give the history of one of the members of the Watch, particularly what made them viable candidates for Reforging and how they've fit in with their fellow Stormcast and Watch Members since then. Sometimes there will be pictures either pre- or post-reforging, but this is by no means a guarantee- writing comes much more easily to me than painting, much as I'd prefer otherwise. Without further ado, then: Sister Ilos Sister Ilos was once part of the warrior-nobility of the Maidenhood of Druze, in Aqshy, those fabled Amazons who for uncounted centuries watched over the hills and mountains of their fiery realm. As the foremost swordswoman among their number, she was chief of the Infernal Guard that watched over the Palace of the Immortal Flame and the person of the Resplendent Empress herself. Members of the Infernal Guard are twice sworn to wed only duty- but Ilos had a great love for the Empress, and she for Ilos, and together they broke her vows in secret, telling none and letting the world see them only as mistress and servant. So it continued for many years, the world knowing nothing of what passed between the two. But that was before Chaos, and the End. In the Age of Downfall, when the armies of Chaos spilled across the land, the mountain fastnesses of the Druze were assaulted by the legions of Saalazab, the Teller of Secrets. They campaigned throughout the Druze lands until only the Palace of the Immortal Flame remained unconquered. Seven times the foul legions of the Teller of Secrets spilled forth, and seven times they were repulsed by the powerful sorceries of the Resplendent Empress. On the eighth time, Saalazab himself came out and engaged in a mighty sorcerous duel with the Empress. To counter her arcane fire he whispered truths that the mortal realm could not bear, each time shattering some of the fabric of reality. Yet each time, the Empress sealed the rifts and repelled her enemy, wounding him terribly with her conjured infernos. But Saalazab only smiled and shouted the truth of Ilos and the Empress' deeds out loud. Empowered by this broken oath, his magic rent the Empress in twain, and his minions spilled into the throne room proper. He offered the surviving Infernal Guard a choice- serve Slaanesh, or die. Disheartened by Ilos' betrayal, they threw down their spears and joined the ranks of the Chaos host- all but her. She angrily proclaimed that since Saalazab had taken her lover and her honor from her, he could take her life as well. He only laughed, shattering the floor of the palace and plunging her into the caldera it was built above. She was consumed utterly by the flame, and thus did the realm of Druze die at last. Even in her dying, though, Sigmar recognized the purity of her soul and snatched it away from the Prince of Pleasure's clutches, reforging her into a champion of His divine will. As a Stormcast, Ilos is gripped by a passion that burns hotter than the fires that first killed her, and seeks out the enemies of the God-King with a bloodthirst that would make a Khornate blush. Thus there was never any question of the Stormhost or the Chamber she would come to serve in- only Steelios, master of the Death Watch, had the temperament and the audacity to make full use of her talents. Thus she became third of the Watch, following only Steelios and his right hand, Brother Decius, in battle-honors and time spent in Sigmar's service. ------ The storytellers call Sister Ilos the Flameborne, the Unburnt, the Crowned, the Fearless, the Sword of Righteousness, the Tongue of Wrath, the Salamander, the Ever-Faithful, the Unbending Defender, the Infernal Guard, Handmaiden of the Empress, the Trinity, the Shield of Truth, the Thrice Sworn, the Unmasked.
Battleplan: Acquisition (from the Kharadron Overlords Battletome) Match-up: Order vs. Legion of Azorgh On the burning plains of Aqshy, Hazim the Blooded and his loyal Fireglaives approached an ancient Zharr Goroth ruin. He and his Daemonsmith, Dray the Alchemist, had been searching the ruins of an old empire for weeks, seeking enchanted artefacts and other treasures. So far, they had turned up only a few... an enchanted weapon that Hazim had claimed for himself, and a sacred duardin relic that was in Dray's possession. As Hazim began to climb the steps into the ruin, he heard cries of battle behind him. He looked back to their base camp, fortified on a nearby butte, just in time to see a trio of Judicators assault their gun-line. They opened with a thunderous barrage of hammers, battering the artillerists, and then, with a valorous battle cry, charged the Dreadquake Mortar. He readied his weapons to fight and began to look around for more enemies. Sure enough, his scouts had done a terrible job. The ruins were filled with Stormcast Eternals, but what would they want with the wreckage of the Zharr Goroth? There must be some reason for their presence. The question would have to wait for the moment. He cast Mystic Shield on his Fireglaive unit, as Dray had taught him, and prepared for battle. Meanwhile, from camp, Dray spied a unit of Retributors and their Lord Relictor marching out of a nearby crypt. While the Magma Cannon sent the winged Prosecutors back to Azyr where they belonged, Dray ordered his Dreadquake Mortar and Deathshrieker Rocket Battery to rain down devastation on their position. Lord Relictor Gladion Sunseeker did his best to heal the Retributors with his heavenly lightning, but the unit was nearly wiped out. He and his one remaining ally marched forward, intent on joining the fray. The reason for the Stormcast's interest in Duardin artefacts became suddenly apparent. Fleet Admiral Skragnir the Recalcitrant and his Arkanaut crew opened fire from the base of the butte, slaying the crew of the Magma Cannon with their Aethergold-powered weaponry. Apparently, the forces of Barak-Thryng were at work this day, presumably attempting to reclaim the salvaged duardin heirlooms. The Liberators charged the Fireglaives, fighting for control of the ruin. They slew a few, but the combination of Mystic Shield, Blackshard Armour, and the cover provided by the ruin itself rendered the duardin nigh impervious. Not so, however, when the surviving Retributor charged in, his hammer crackling with critical energy. He was furious at the destruction of his battle brothers. With little regard for the Fireglaives entrenched position, he hurled mortal wounds in all directions until the duardin, and their fearless leader Hazim, were no more. Gladion picked up Hazim's enchanted weapon, hung it on his belt, and continued the fight. There was still a sacred relic to be reclaimed. By the time Fleet Admiral Skragnir had climbed to the top of the butte, his Akanauts had been gunned down to a man. They had acquitted themselves nobly, felling both the Magma Cannon, and the Deathshrieker Rocket Launcher, and nearly destroying the Dreadquake Mortar. But the job that remained needed to be done right, so he would have to do it himself. Though Dray's Blackshard Hammer nearly sundered Skragnir's plate armour and sent him back to the spirit in the sky, the Slave Ogor had been whipped too mercilessly during the battle and contributed nothing to the melee. Skragnir set upon them with his Aethermatic Hammer, reassuring himself of his righteousness muttering under his breath "there's just no trading with some people". His devastating hammer blows demolished the Dreadquake Mortar and sent Dray flying back off of the butte. He looked on in shock, took one last puff of his pipe, and fell into the crackling lava below. The sacred scroll he had been carrying drifted slowly to Gladion's feet. Gladion collected it and gave a signal to Skragnir. Then they began the long walk to rejoin their skyfleet. Crossposted from hive fleet charybdis.
