Hi guys, Just looking for a place to share some of my stuff! I've painted a little before I decided to choose Idoneth Deepkin for my Age of Sigmar army. This is really my first foray at actually painting an entire army. I watch a lot of tutorials and paint videos in my spare time for fun, so I like to think that I've picked up a decent understanding of the essential techniques. Some of the more advanced stuff like wet blending still elude me, however. Let me know what you think!

Bit of a long shot, but... For compulsive collector reasons, I'm looking for this guy, Garkorr, the 500th store limited edition Bladegheist Revenant: For trade I have new-in-box and completely unopened the similarly hard to find Darrakar, the 2019 store anniversary limited edition Guardian of Souls, the one with options to build with either the usual nightmare lantern or a 'mortality glass' instead. Ideally I would like the Garkorr to be similarly unopened, but given the model's obscurity I'm willing to accept assembled, just not already painted, so long as the model is undamaged and you promise to pack it in an extremely gentle but well supported fashion - Nighthaunt models being so frustratingly delicate. Alternatively, if you happen to be near Baltimore Maryland or Washington D.C. we could make a trade in person.

As far as I know no Bretonnian miniatures were released during 4th edition (1992-1996). Many 3rd edition models, but not all, are found in the 1991 Citadel Catalogue (also called Red Catalogue). There are also many 2nd edition models shown in this catalogue so it is intended not to show them together with 3rd edition models here. I found many models that are not shown or named in any publication (catalogue, White Dwarf). So I can't be completely sure if there are more unlisted models. It would be very much appreciated to get information on that. All 3rd edition models were made from metal, but all horses were made from plastic. Miniatures before 1989 were in smaller scale (25 mm). Hi all, Thank you so much to everyone that participated, we had an astronomical 834 responses which Is beyond what I could have imagined and I really hope these results are helpful to the community. In retrospect there are definitely areas I could improve in the future and I look forward to creating more polls in the future to provide useful and interesting insights into the age of sigmar community. Without further or do though here are the results So as we can see surprisingly Lumineth Realm-Lords were voted the most with 108 of the army votes. This is incredibly interesting as they are such a new army that I think we can agree had a mixed reception with the new direction they took with the moomen hats however with these results I think its clear that there is a lot of love for them! No wonder they are getting more models! Number two on the polls are joint Gloomspite Gitz and Slaves to Darkness, both also fairly recently updated armies, however its no surprise their great models earned their popularity. Number three is Kharadron Overlords followed very closely by Cities of Sigmar, both very interesting choices with KO having an arguably amazing but smaller selection of models and Cities of Sigmar being a large selection of great but old models, hopefully both of these armies will receive some love with cities perhaps getting a fresh paint of coat? In joint last however we have Fyreslayers and Sons of Behemat, I think with SOB being a small and expensive new army it explain it as they are great models not sponsored by King Brodd, and Fyreslayers I think could use a look into having some new units but I just want to add that this poll has been purely for fun and informational at if theres anything to take from it its that all armies are great and although some could use some love there's a strong presence everywhere. Later today I will be creating a poll regarding the pricing changes in more recent models and whether that's affected the communities outlook on the hobby and how much they buy. I will be taking action on the feedback received with this poll to make it more reliable and scientific. I really hope this poll has been informative and insightful to people and I apologise for the lack of scientific methodology hopefully I can improve with each one. Take care everyone!

Hey i need your help for building my CoS. Through the last 15 years i was basically painting stuff. Now that i found out that my Colleague play 40k, i want to change that. Iam about to finish my first Killteam . But thats not the topic. As you know CoS is out^^ and i would like to play AoS aswell in the future. I havnt purchased the CoS Book yet. So i have no clue. Forgive me :I I have units from several fractions and i hope u guys and girls help me which City suites my already existing pile of minions thus i can save time and money. I have 10 Hammerers 6 demigryphs 10 dark elves dreadspears (i can switch gear if necessary) 12 Dark elves Black guard 5 drakespawn knights The isles of Blood box The seraphon strikehost Box The Fireslayers start collecting box About the last 3 races i hope to include them somehow. I wont play competitive so that shouldnt matter. What units do you think schould i purchase next? I like like every fraction (besides the aos marines) So, there are no boundarys. Each heat will be a series of 4 person events, playing 3 games of Age of Sigmar, at 2000pts (matched play), over the course of a single day. Players battle it out within their mini-league to win a spot to the Grand Final in April 2021. With extra precautions implemented to cover the new '6 person limit' set out by the UK government, these mini-league events will be making sure that player, venue and TO safety is paramount. Taking place on the same day, there will be 5 separate mini-league events happening, which will form the first round of heats for the Grand Final. Places for Heat 1: Mini-Leagues are currently full (awaiting a few final decisions). Places for Heat 2: Mini-Leagues and Heat 3: mini-Leagues, are still available and a separate event page will be made for that series of events. I'm here to share an Age of Sigmar RPG actual play podcast that we've been working on ever since July 2018, and recently updated with the awesome new Age of Sigmar: Soulbound ruleset that came out this year! I'm fairly new to aos, only really played a few games with friends. But why whenever I try to look up the answer to a question I have in the forums, most of what I see is just people ranting about, "this faction needs to be nerfed", "this army should never have been made", "ability is too overpowered", "that character needs to be nerfed". And then a few threads later I see, "why did they need this", "my army can't beat that army because I got nerfed", "if this is how GW is gonna do things then I'm out". And most of the time the reason that I see people complaining is because they are having a bit of trouble winning against a certain army, but the reason they are having trouble is because their army got nerfed, so now they want to nerf another army. I was told when I started this hobby that the community was supportive, but more than half of what I see and find is people complaining, and when someone offers advice most people either ignore it or respond with something like "well have YOU ever face them", or "you have no idea what you're talking about". And then there are the things I see and here about people being bullied away from certain armies because the community decided that if you play that armies your either a noob or a 'meta-chaser' or a bad person in general. Why? What happened? And why do I feel like everyone has it out for the death faction, and by extension me a death player?

Hi ! I've recently discovered that you can play Age of Sigmar online ! I'm really excited about this because I'm don't have a time schedule that's fit with my local gameclub AoS games. It all in tabletop simulator, a sandbox game focus on boardgames which you can buy on Steam. The game have a huge modders community who make tons of mods. In thoses, I have found all AoS armies and several 6'x4' maps for a nice little game. I know, this is not like a real game with our models but, seriously, that game do a great job ! I've played two games with a friend, one at 1000pts and the other at 2000pts, and we were really satisfied of our games. SO I was wondering if any of you will be down to play somes games on it ? We can connect on Discord, introduce ourself and have a great time on tabletop ! What do you think about it ? Let me know if you want more informations or if you have any questions ! And by the way, its the perfect thing to use for playtests some armies and lists before get the models you don't have (I don't like proxy models in my games). Cheers !

"The Mountain Guard are the elite forces of Averland who guard Black Fire Pass. They are the cream of the Averland forces and include regular troops, Halflings, as well as a special unit of trappers and rangers. They are often the first forces to intercept invading armies and as such commonly take high casualties. They are successful at their job of patrolling the pass, although it is difficult to patrol such long piece of road" Do you want an unit full of German William Wallace's? The Freeguild Greatswords are the elite infantry of the Free Peoples, wielding giant Zweihanders into battle, they are staunch defenders of the realms of men and veterans of hundreds of battles. They aren't much to look at on paper, they have basic human stats, 1 wound each, 5" move, a slightly better save than the Freeguild Guard at +4 and a slightly better Bravery at 6. Their attack profile is pretty solid, 2 attacks, 4+ hit, 3+ wound, -1 rend and 1 damage each. Not bad really, it's something to work with in the realms of all the buffs the Free Peoples have access to. The Guild Champion (unit Sergeant) gets 3 attacks instead of 2. The Standard Bearer also makes an appearance in this unit. Whilst their save and Bravery is standard for humans. Rolls of a 1 for battle shock in this unit is an automatic pass. This is important as it stacks with the Order Battle Trait Defiant Avengers (allowing you to re-roll battleshock tests) and the Freeguild General on Horses banner (roll two dice for Freeguild units with 24" of the Freeguild General). In brief, ALWAYS keep these guys within range of the Freeguild General with Banner. The Hornblower - Like the Freeguild Guard this creative gentlemen allows your unit to counter-charge after your opponent has moved all of his charging units so long as no enemy models are within 3" of this unit. The counter-charge is a charge based on a D6. Not great, but you will be surprised by the amount of times you can actually get this off (as it overlaps with the Free Peoples Great Company support ability). Abilities Oathsworn Honour Guard - If a unit of Freeguild Greatswords is within 14" of a Free Peoples Hero from your army when they attack, you can add 1 to all of their hit rolls. Only one ability for these mustachio twirling gents. You will rarely move these guys outside of 14" of a Freeguild General (Foot, Horse or Griffon variant). These guys are bodyguards for your General, this ability merely confirms it. As long as you remain within range of your Freeguild General this will bring your guys to a nice to 3+/3+ on their attacks, pretty tasty. Positives Cheaper with GHB2019 - 300pts for 30 finely dressed, mustachioed pantaloons wearing murderers Consistent weight of attacks with rend; a unit of 30 (assuming you can get them all in) has 61 attacks. Standard Bearer has good synergy with the Defiant Avengers battle trait and the Freeguild General to make a highly battle shock resistant unit. They can be underestimated by your opponent - these guys love to get jacked off all the Free Peoples buffs. Perfect as a bodyguard for your General and as the core of your army. Negatives 4+ save - these guys are the hammer to the Freeguild Guards anvil. Bravery 6 - low, but we have have high battleshock resistance. 5" move - They are very slow, hence susceptible to the next point. Highly vulnerable to ranged attack. Very unwieldy in a 30 man unit. They require significant investment of buffs to be viable. Recommendations DON'T put them in threat range of nasty shooters, these are 1 wound +4 save basic dudes, they will get decimated. Keep them supported by Crossbows and Handgunners and within range of your Indomitable Freeguild General. They are great bodyguards for your Freeguild General who is vulnerable at only 5 wounds. Keep him nearby for the 24" battleshock banner, the Indomitable Command Trait (+1 save wholly with 12") and chuck the Hold the Line! command ability on these guys to make them 2+/2+, 3+ save, battleshock resisting monster men. Don't take them below 10 men, it's simply not worth it. A 20 man unit is a nice medium, they aren't to unwieldy to move around the table and you can get two ranks in on the 25mm bases. Good synergy with the Freeguild General on Griffon's Rousing Battle Cry ability. 1+ hit, +2 bravery and +1 to charge roles makes them significantly better. The Amber Battlemage is good to buff these guys with the Wildform spell. +1 wound in the combat phase, couple this with the Rousing Battle Cry command ability and your Greatswords won't be limited by the movement restriction of the Hold the Line! command ability and will have the same attack profile of 2+/2+. A Grey Battleamge is also good for keeping them alive, cast Mystifying Miasma to make the unit they are fighting -1 to hit. Put them in a Great Company, every unit in the Free Peoples needs SUPPORT! Knight-Azyros re-roll 1's just makes them even crazier.

Event Title: Micheal Jackon's Realmwalker pt.1 Event Author: Tropical Ghost General Calendar: Events UK Event Date: 08/30/2020 10:00 AM to 08/30/2020 06:30 PM This is the first Bristol AoS event since the covid crisis began, so we are keeping it nice and casual and making sure that the venue, the TO and the player's safety is paramount. The event will be 1000pts, using the latest GHB20 battleplans. In addition to your normal army, each army will be able to field a custom hero, their own Realmwalker, using the new Anvil of Apotheosis rules from GHB20. These custom heroes will be capped at 20 destiny points. EDIT: The tournament pack is now finished and available for reading. Tickets will be officially going on sale on Tuesday 21st July. I'm aiming to keep this as cheap as possible, so tickets will be £15 per player. All players attending will be given a free face mask to help with overall personal safety.
