  1. Hi there, I've got a question. On page 152 of Blades of Khorne, under notes for the Mighty Skullcrushers it says "Battleline if army has KHORNE BLOODBOUND allegiance and its general is a Lord of Khorne on Juggernaut". Now, this seems pretty straight forward. Effectively Mighty Skullcrushers can't be battleline if you bring units that don't have the KHORNE and BLOODBOUND keywords. It seems odd though, as Skaarac is a no-go in this case. As are all KHORNE DAEMONS. Odd, but I can accept that. Here's where it gets weird: On page 78 the ALLEGIANCE sidebar says: Okay, so the army can be either KHORNE or BLOODBOUND? Or can't we have a BLOODBOUND allegiance? If we can't, then the note for the Mighty Skullcrushers makes no sense. But okay, I'm assuming we can. And here's comes the kicker. Page 78 also says: That effectively means that blood tithe is only available to KHORNE armies - not BLOODBOUND armies. And we can only choose one. So, my question is as follows: How does it make sense that you need to have the BLOODBOUND allegiance to field Mighty Skullcrushers as battleline, but you must have the KHORNE allegiance to generate blood tithe? Also KHORNE and BLOODBOUND are separate keywords. So how is a KHORNE BLOODBOUND allegiance even possible? By that logic you could field a CHAOS KHORNE army, a CHAOS BLOODBOUND army, or even a MORTAL BLOODBOUND army as well. None of which would qualify for blood tithe. I can't wait for an updated FAQ.
  2. As time has gone on local gamers come up with funny comments and thoughts. One day I was at my local game store and referred to myself as the Sixth Lord of Chaos. How can I make this claim without a firm foot in the Chaos Aliance. So the starting point for my journey is going to be a Murderfist Clan. The list is full of hammers and anvils. Let me know your thoughts on the list, and I will keep you up to date on the build, painting, and playing. Here we go... 3. Out of these what should be the best combination for a small 500 point Order/Stormcast army. X30 Liberators X5 Protectors X3 Retributors 10 Judicators X3 Prosecutors w/ Celestial Hammers X1 Lord Celestant on Dracoth X1 Lord Relictor X2 Fulminators X1 Knight Venator X16 Elven Spearmen
  4. Daemonic reinforcements have arrived to the corrupted spires of the Mireguard, with still more on the way. Joining the ranks of the Horned Legion are the maliciously adorable Nurgle Chaos Furies (kitbashed) and the pustulant plague bearer horde. Keep your eyes open in the coming weeks. More is on the way in the coming weeks as well!
  5. Hi i'm trying to make death army and I need some advice. 6. I want to know some creative and competitive thoughts how you can get Nagash in a list. Let's go! In 3k battles, he's easy to fit. But, I want to dust off this model and try to play some other games. Hopefully, they'll lower his point values!
  7. So I've been tabling every opponent in the ITC events (only 2) here in the United States and I must say this is a pretty strong lis and want everyone's opinion and advice of continuing the success of Death. Thanks guys! LeadersVampire Lord (140)- General- Trait: Ruler of the Night- Artefact: Ring of ImmortalityNecromancer (120)Crypt Ghast Courtier (80)Abhorrant Ghoul King on Zombie Dragon (400)- Artefact: Ring of ImmortalityUnitsCrypt Ghouls x 40 (400)Crypt Ghouls x 40 (400)Crypt Ghouls x 30 (300)BehemothsWar MachinesBatallionsGhoul Patrol (100)Total: 1940/2000 The Vampire Lord was chosen to give any of the ghoul units an additional melee attack in combat maximizing the dice at now 4 each! The necromancer on a nightmare for maximum distance and the range to allow a unit of ghouls the ability to attack twice. That's strong. Crypt ghast courtier is a needed model for the formation, but is not bad as it can replenish up to 6 ghouls every hero phase. Aborghant Ghoul King on Zombie Dragon I find more appropriate due to his spell that allows units in range to reroll wound rolls. And is a Ghoul King which gives the ghouls the ability to reroll 1's to hit. Ring of immortality to maximize him back. Maximize ghouls, and formation helps with deep striking and every unit of ghouls rolls a d6 to replenish. So basically one unit of ghouls can receive 4 attacks a piece, reroll ones, attack twice, and reroll wound rolls. Not that bad! Been working out very well. And if kept near vampire lord, they have the 5+ invulnerable save too. Replenishing with formation and courtier. Very nasty list and I've made no friends playing this.... Enjoy guys and I look forward to some revisions and opinions! - Alexander Hemedinger.
  8. Hey everyone. I have a variety of AOS armies for sale - price negotiable. I'm throwing some general pictures up here of each - because there are so many, I will provide specific pictures of each lot on a case by case basis as individuals make inquirers. I will also continue to update this list as new stuff is finished, and as older lots are sold/traded. Please PM me with offers, and do not ask for starting prices. I prefer anyone interested send a message with an offer included, so that we can work from there. Thanks ~ Currently for sale - Ironjawz 2.5 K Points - Masterfully painted. Nurgle Daemons - 960 pts - some models professionally finished, some done to a good table-top standard. Nurgle Rotbringers - 1920 pts - Half masterfully painted - half painted to an above tabletop standard. Skaven Pestilens - 940 PTS - Tabletop Quality, Plague Furnace Above Tabletop Quality. Khorne Army - (About) 1700 pts - Painted to a professional level. Destruction Army - Over 2,000 pts - Painted to a professional level.
  9. I've been working on my Nurgle Rotbringers for the last couple months and I'm finally ready to go public with the start of the force! This first batch of troops is basically finished, although I need to do some basing work and a couple touch ups. The current force is: The Glottkin Bloab Rotspawn Chaos Warshrine (Kitbashed) Harbinger of Decay (Kitbashed) 15 Putrid Blight Kings 30 Chaos Warriors Hell cannon Regarding some general comments, the lore of this force is that it is a legion of Nurgle Rotbringer forces manning a lone Chaos Dreadhold named Mireguard, which is deep in one of the swampy corners of Ghur. I wanted this force to feel a little bit more primitive and beastly with horns being a unifying visual element across the army. This is the reason for the conversions of both the Harbinger and Warshrine. I tried to tie other thematic secondary visual elements across the board as well, including the white fur of the Warshrine beast of burden with the fur of the Chaos warriors and Bloab. If anyone is curious about the specific techniques used to paint various elements, like the pools, horns, or whatever, I'm planning on doing a couple tutorials for these techniques in future blog posts. Let me know if there are specific things you are interested in and I'll make sure to cover those as well. For sure additions to this force, I have another Hellcannon on the table that just needs its highlighting and glow effects that should be done by the end of the week. I have a number of other units I'll be adding here in the future as I finish them. Thanks for your interest and I look forward to hearing your feedback and critiques!
  10. “In the dark fetid corners of Ghur you will find the Wyssan Wood. Dwelling amongst its primeval depths reside the Venomtongue Spiderfang grot tribes. These feather-bedecked grots have mastered all manner of webbed horrors: the stealthy, bone-armored Spinebacks, the lightning-fast striped Wolfhunters, and the bulbous Purple Skullbacks. Swarms of mottled spiderlings are prodded ahead of the creeping horde and mountainous Arachnaroks bring up the rear. But the horrors do not end there, for supporting their hordes are rickety weapons of war crafted from moss-covered stones, rotten boughs, and sticky webbing of the children of the Feaster from Beyond. Our scouts suggest that even greater horrors have yet to pour forth from the tangled depths of the Wyssan Wood! Woe be to the realms if the Venomtongue tribes of the Wyssan Wood ever unite with Spittlegit or even, blessed Azyr, the Ironjawz hordes of Gordrakk! May Sigmar never let it be!“ -Lord Castellant Rhemus of the Astral Templars This is an introduction to my Spiderfang Grot forces. I started these a couple years ago during 8th edition (hence the bases) and plan to take them back up again once the Spiderfang release drops (we know it is coming GW; just make it happen next week...please). I have tons of unpainted models but I'm only posting what I currently have done. A bit of background: Ever since coming upon the Arachnarok kit a couple years ago, I’ve fallen in love with the forest grot aesthetic. While initally saddened to find only 3 Spiderfang kits available, I realized that this was the perfect opportunity to build this force, using conversions, from the ground up. Back in 8th, it was a generic O&G force, and I used a bunch of models as counts-as to be able to field an effective army of all forest goblins. Currently, my completed models from this force are as follows: Arachnarok with a Shaman and a Catchweb Spidershrine Grot Chukka 10 Spineback Spider Riders (were my Deff Creepers in 8th) Doom Diver Lobba Rogue Idol of Gork (or Mork) 40+ Savage Grot Berserkers with Big Stabba (Counted as Savage Orks) 40+ Spider Swarm with Spider Herders (Counted as a Squig Herd with Handlers) Savage Grot Shaman A lot of this is harder to use with new synergies in AoS but I look forward to GW expanding their forces so I can return to this army. Enjoy the photos and I look forward to your feedback!
  11. Hey all - So I decided to focus on the Bonesplitterz faction after really getting a kick out of them during my (very limited) time to play some games. Unfortunately, given how Allegiances work, I feel the best choice is to focus my efforts on expanding one army instead a of a general alliance, which means my poor Ironjawz and Beastclaw Raiders will be in need of a new home. Together armies are about 3000 pts - 1500 (or so) a piece. Both are great starts, and each comes with the faction's battletome. Any offers feel free to PM me! I'm willing to cut a deal on both together, or else sell the Beastclaw/Ironjawz separately. I'd prefer moving them as armies, rather than breaking them up, but I'm always willing to hear offers.

  13. Once I had the bases down I needed to start coming up with a color scheme for my army. I wanted to go pale and more ghostly at first but then after browsing around online as well as trying out a couple test models I came up with this general look: You might ask yourself where I came up with that scheme? I would love to pass on a great video that inspired me to give it a try, I took this video as my starting point down the path of creating a color scheme for the army: I loved the look of those ghouls, the only thing that sucked was the paints were all in the old style paints so I had to go about and update my painting list but overall after spending a couple days on the models this is the progress I made: 1 Crypt Ghast Courtier 10 Crypt Ghouls 3 Crypt Horrors 1 Crypt Haunter Courtier Started on the Zombie Dragon Here are some shots of the progress: Finishing up the week with starting on the Zombie Dragon (I started playing with the wing)...
  14. Hi! This is my first blog ever... I am hoping it'll be interesting, informative, and also might inspire one or two people. I am going to document out my very first large project. Preparing the Army (What I ended picking up): 2 older boxes of Crypt Ghouls (10 in a set) 1 box of Crypt Horrors 2 boxes of the King Vlagorescu's Ghoulish Host Flesh-Eater Courts Battletomb Some random bits of information: Took me about 3-4 days to clip, clean, and put together the various models so I could get them ready to prime Had to be very careful when figuring out what units that I would assemble, I was pulling my hair out trying to get the right combinations! In the end the units that I went with were: 1 Abhorrant Ghoul King on Zombie Dragon (He's going to be fun... *Grins*) 1 Abhorrant Ghoul King 5 Crypt Ghast Courtiers 2 Crypt Haunter Courtiers 1 Crypt Inferno Courtier 2 Varghulf Courtiers 1 Terrorgheist 2 units of Crypt Horrors (Had enough to do 2 separate units with a max of 6 Horrors in each unit) 2 units of Crypt Flayers (3 Flayers in each) 4 units of Crypt Ghouls (Total of 80 ghouls with the option to do up to four separate units)
  15. I was lucky to have a few days off work... So I set off on a bid to try and get most of the mundane items finished. I've included some of the various shots of progress through those days (No Particular order): I have to say that after the first week I was quite happy with my progress, getting the mundane stuff out of the way helped push me forward and ahead. I was now itching to try and get some of the models painted... I finished the week with the near completed base: (Next post I'll show you some progress shots of the actual miniatures!)
  16. Being the kind of person I am, I likes to plan out an army before buying a ton of ****** (I miss my employee discount ) I decided to start by making a list based on what info we have from the Generals Handbook. It's a 2500 point list with a Slaves to Darkness / Slaanesh? Allegiance. Tried to put in all the stuff I like without too much worry of whats competitive or uber powerful. I like to play for fun not WAACing people do death Leaders Sorcerer Lord - 140pts Exalted Hero - 80pts Chaos Lord on Demonic Mount - 140pts Battleline x20 Chaos Warriors w/ Swords - 360pts x10 Chaos Warriors w/ Halberds - 180pts x10 Chaos Knights w/ Lances - 400pts x10 Marauder Horsemen w/ Javelins - 200pts Behemoths Lord on Manticore - 240pts Chaos BattleShrine - 200pts Other x10 Chaos Chosen - 320pts x3 Chaos Spawn - 180pts Battalion Godsworn Champions of Ruin - 60pts
