  1. Was flipping through the book today...it’s been a while. Was looking for combos within the artefacts in the book. Would there be legs in taking a BW with the voice of warding and spirit song stave, in a no glade list? Would make her 2 cast/2 unbind wizard... could even take a Balewindvortex as well... been tinkering with a list... General: BW -voice of warding -spirit song stave spell: throne of vines heroes: TLA -vesperal gem Spell: verdiuos harmony TLA -deadly harvest SoD -greenwoodgladius battleline: 3x10 dryads 5 treerevs Other: TL 3xbow KH Endless spells: balewindvortex gladewyrm battalions: - forestfolk -lords of the clan extra command point 1980 4 drops... could take out the SoD and takea unit of 6 scythe hunters in stead....could also put the tree revs to 10 then....comes in at 1960...
  2. Think this list is viable. The idea here is to use the two ancients to reliably get spells through. I’ve opted for the healing spells in order to keep the few fighting units (mainly the Durthu) alive. The gem can be used to force through whatever spell is necessary once per face. The other ancient can cast with 3d6 and choose the two highest. So pretty reliable. So any comments or ideas? I’m also a little bit uncertain of the endless spell.   3. This....although I bet it would look really nice. Aquatic creatures on land is quite awkward. Though if the sea horses in mention was a chimera of a horse and a seahorse it might look ok, a sea dragon could also look agile enough on land.... maybe they could live on sunken islands who the can magically rise to the surface, run into the beach and charge....I have the cinematic stunning in my head now....I’ve changed my mind. It would be awesome!

  5. I think there’s been hints throughout The lore that has been released so far that something WILL eventually go wrong with the reforging process of the stormcast. This has always been Nagash’ big beef with Sigmar. The latter denying the former his rightful tithe of souls. Maybe we’ll see the equivalent of the heresy among stormcast???
  6. The duality of death battle plan looks tailor made for beast law raiders. Their thundertusks will be hard to shift from those objects. If the stone horns didn't have to charge they'd be even better... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I would like GW to make new factions or fleshed or fleshed out factions from the existing ones. i think the spiderfang grots is a thing. they have the arachnorok spider that can be build in many ways. Then there is the spiderriders and the hero on gigantic spider. Fora battletome release they could make a new hero on gigantic spider, a spider shaman and a infantry unit. This could be a spider version of the squish with herders unit. Maybe an elite unit of infantry that are like Spider-Man grots. Shooting webs from they're wrists and swinging between units and terrain(like the KO with grappling hooks) then the spider grots from the silver tower set could be mixed in as cheap throwaway unit. Then there is the scourge privateers that could be a good faction with some additional models. A unit riding a giant version of a viscous Flying sea creature. Maybe dragonets. They shoot harpoons and could be build as a monster hunter units or a swift anti infantry unit with lots of attacks firing a brace of repeated crossbow pistols. The kharibdys could be used as amount for a hero too with some clever reprinting of the building manuals. The corsairs kit could make two different units. One pure fighting unit and a ranged unit. For elite infantry they could release a new version of the shades. The plastic sorcress is such a great and simple model that it can be used in any elf faction. She could be a sea witch in a scourge privateer battletome. For death I would love a mixed undead, mortal faction like suggested earlier. I'd like a variant based on the Frankenstein/van helsing universe. I like the idea of them seeing Nagash as their lord and savior guaranteeing their souls salvation from chaos. Angry peasants with pitchforks forming the infantry monstrous infantry being huge constructs animated into unlife by mad doctors. Blood dragons As the "knights of the realm" The lords could be made up of the soulblight faction where the vampire takes the role of castellant and guardian to the peasantry in sort of a feudal system. Necromancers as wizards or priests for the cult of nagash. The Mortis engine could in such an army have the role of the sigmarite warshrine.
  10. Calling the boss lady finished for now...it's not the best image (crappy iPhone photo) as she didn't fit in my light box...the highlights on the beetles horns come of as a lot starker than they really are...
  11. Thanks for kind words. Maybe ill just add a thin coat of wash diluted with Lahmian medium just to smooth out some of the edge highlights. when alarielle is done I have one more unit of hunters (scythes) and a unit of tree revenants left and it's done. I have one more unit of dryads but I think I'll put that on the shelf for now. On to, or rather back to, wanderers. And of course I have a ticket on the KO bandwagon
  12. Some progress on my Alarielle. There is still some highlights on details left. Also I'm debating with myself whether to apply gloss varnish on the beetles carapace...
  13. Lovely army. Wood elves was my first army and it's the biggest one in my collection. It's so cool to se others do this army, especially now that the aelves are a bit in under par. Its amazing to see how well the gladeguard models are holding up through the editions. Great job

  15. A little progress on alarielle after getting distracted from the sylvaneth by other projects.... i think the colors complement eachother Too much. I need a color to break things up a bit, but I'm not shure what color to go for. Maybe just on the leather straps. And the leaves.... would orange break too much?
  16. Know about them, I just don't like it. As an offshoot faction maybe, ok, but what AOS needs now in my opinion is regular aelves. Now what regular aelves are in the mortal realms I don't know, but I do not want em to be chaos worshippers....shadow aelves is fine by me but no chaos please I find it odd if they bring on shadow aelves and they have no affliction to malerion which is the deity malekith turned into as far as I know... as I said. It's my opinion. I understand I'm in a minority
  17. Shadow kin is my bet. But if they mix slaneesh in to this I'll be mad. I mean slaneesh is elves worst nightmare. He feeds of their souls for Christ sake. Aelves and slaneesh should be each other's worst enemy. So I hope that this is a self faction from the realm of shadow. That creature looks a little bit like a dragonette from WOW
  18. Why are we expecting chtulu elves? What is the basis for this rumor? Is it the tentacle on the base of the tenebrael shard? Is that all? I hope this is all, because I for one does not want this kind of esthetic now I don't know much about chtulu other than it has something to do with tentacles, but it's sounds to much like dark eldar
  19. Those sky pirate Duardin. Freakin awsome. GW realt hit this one out of the park. Im byuing all and one extra airship to put my Long Drongs slayer pirates in. And theyll have halfling ships cooks and a little gryph hound ships dog and.....oh the plans....this is so AWSOME!!!
  20. Let's see... I estimate around 15k points of pure wood elves, 4-5k of forest spirit 3k of ogors, 10k duardin (disposessed) 2k freepeoples, 2k dark elves, 3-4K of highelves, 2k Orcs and goblins, 3k of undead, 2-3k skaven and the silver tower
  21. This one I really like. One of the things I miss most from older versions of the game is the ability to customize heroes..the trick is to keep it from enabling creating "unbeatable" and therefore in-fun heroes...
  22. Some first unit of tree revenants. Still need to finish the bases though.
