  1. I've posted this publicly on their pages, on twitter, on Instagram, and will also be emailing it to Games Workshop's investor relations and customer service emails. I invite you to join me in demanding GW do more. If you want to steal any or all of the letter I have written, feel free.

Anyway now that it is not unsavable I wonder how that interacts with Morathi since before she couldn’t save against it and took all 8 mortals.

It wasn't Mortal Wounds before. It was just wounds that could not be prevented by any means. Now it is mortal wounds, so Morathi can only take 3 per turn.

    16 mortal wounds on a 6. Hmm. That’s quite a design choice.

    It certainly is a choice.

It's to mitigate the fact that Total Carnage is no longer unsavable in any way and now just does mortal wounds. I think it's a good change overall.

  4. Theory: The Ruination Chamber will be made up of all the Stormcasts who have been reborn so many times they have lost all humanity but gained strange abilities and are now essentially little more than daemons of lightning and order. Dangerous and unstable but powerful.

  5. Like all new factions, they're gonna lean heavily into the epic high fantasy thing, and they're gonna release at least one large centerpiece model, probably multiple. I'd love to see giant fungal trolls in the faction. Trolls have always been tied pretty close to goblins.

I would hope so, because this move really hurts those armies that do not have battle tomes.

As a grot player I have no real access to extra command points unless they add in some battalions or some other method to get more.  Also, the change to inspiring presence means that you basically get half of the effect that you currently do (it only works for a single battleshock phase and not the whole round), but you do gain the ability to trigger it exactly when you will need it rather than having to guess ahead of time.  A more granular strategy for Inspiring Presence is nice, but we will have to see if that balances out getting less of it.

Since Inspiring Presence is used in the battleshock phase and not in the hero phase now, I think it actually got better, especially for armies that have multiple horde units. I tend to play very mobile armies. Before, when someone with multiple horde units inspiring presenced one unit, I would just hit a different one. Now you can react to which unit is most likely to fail a battleshock test, and by how much, at the start of the battleshock phase. That's a huge increase in flexibility.

It is the doomwheel, just with the proportions played with. Has the same cross bit on the front and the blades at the bottom.

Oh, you're probably right. I didn't think about stretching it out via photoshop. Good call.

I'll just drop it here ;)

It definitely looks like two warp lightning canons on the sides, but I have no idea what the central wheel is from if it's a kit bash. It's certainly not the current doom wheel. It almost looks like it could be like a necron pylon or something, but I don't know the 40k range well enough to know for sure.
