  1. The Brutes kit does have some big and nasty looking weapons, and with the way Ironguts just seem to strap shields and bits of armor to themselves I'm sure a lot of the armor plates could be looted as well.
  2. I just ordered some KO Endrinrigger balloons an rudders to kitbash with my Ironguts. I've been wanting to do a pirate themed Ogor army, but I wasn't sure how to make the Ironguts fit thematically. Now I'm thinking give them old-timey brass diving helmets and the KO floaty bubbles and make them underwater monster hunters. I'll have to snag an Endrinmaster to ride Master Blaster style on the back of an Ogor to use as a second Tyrant. He'll be the one who makes and maintains all the tech for my Gutbusters. I was all happy that I got a huge lot of Ogors for cheap, but now that I want to stick KO bits on everything this could turn out to be a pretty expensive army.
  3. Looks like the Butchers are supposed to be hanging out by the Great Mawpot while the Slaughtmaster is supposed to be heading towards the thick of things.
  4. Looking at pictures I always thought Gorgers looked awful. Then I got a few as part of a lot and to me they looked a lot better in real life. Not great, but not as bad as I originally thought.
  5. Having Orruk summoning bring in more Orruks from the board edge has been mentioned, and I think it's a cool idea. Something else I've been thinking about is if Orruk summoning was a way to bring in their Endless Spells separate from having to cast them. I think that could be cool. On the other hand it could be seen as a way to force Orruk players to buy the spells and about half the time the Endless Spells are bad looking IMO.
  6. I brought up playing my Greenskinz as Bonesplitterz a while back and some people thought it was bad form to use one model as another just because it had better rules. We're in a weird spot right now as Greenskinz still have points and warscrolls. Maybe when the book comes out they'll move them to Legends? It seems like that would do away with the objections some people had, and in some ways would be more merciful then having the Greenskinz continue to limp on with no support, but I also understand why it would make some Greenkinz players sad that their army no longer exists in the rules. Some people thought that it wasn't good to run Greenskinz as Bonesplitterz because they looked too heavily armored, which I understand. Some of those same people thought they were better suited to be run as Ironjawz, which I thought was weird because to me they look too small and under-armored. They're kind of in a weird place in the middle, but it wouldn't bother me to see people running them either way. I think it's interesting how people have differing opinions on what it appropriate. I'm guessing most people will be cool with whatever as long as it looks good.
  7. With them coming out with warbands from every realm for WarCry do you think they might do something similar for non-Chaos humans in the future? Maybe a re-imagined Mordheim with treasure hunters from every realm that could be used as Freeguild in regular AoS?
  8. I think a case could be made that normal Greenskinz do provide an important lore function in giving a baseline by which Ironjawz and Bonesplitterz differentiate themselves. Ironjawz are supposed to be orruks that are bigger, tougher and better armored than your average orruk. Bonesplitterz are supposed to be orruks that are crazier and more primitive than your average orruk. Kind of like how without Free People some might start considering the Stormcasts to he the "human" faction. Mechanically I think they have to the potential to be different along these lines: Ironjawz having good durability and damage output, but lacking numbers Bonesplitterz having good damage output and numbers, but lacking durability Greenskinz having good numbers and durability, but lacking damage output (In a combined battletome there would need to be some drawback to prevent people running orruk soup from just cherry-picking the best of each subfaction.) Without new models I don't have much hope for Greenskinz though.
  9. I have a tiny amount of irrational hope that Greenskinz will be part of The Great Waaagh!, but I realize that is pretty unlikely.
  10. I'm glad there is a new plastic Tyrant. The model looks great. (I just wish I had time to sell my extra NIB finecast Tyrant before this was announced, haha.) Even if that's the only new model a box of Ogors vs Skellies would be cool.
  11. Was the Butcher with cauldron ever metal, or has it always been resin?
  12. Five plastic kits, three of which can be Battleline, doesn't seem like too small of a range to me. That's not counting Gargants which I could see being included, and also counting the Ironblaster/Scraplauncher as one. Then there's all the finecast. I could see Gutbusters being one of the releases that gets a new Leader, a terrain piece and Endless Spells.
  13. I think the 40k Sector Mechanicus terrain is really good, while the Wall of Martyrs terrain is pretty bad, and the Endless Spells are somewhere in between. (The Wall of Martyrs not being good might be more to do with the sculpt than the plastic and casting.) More things coming out of direct order to being readily available would make me happy.
  14. The Endless Spells and terrain are outsourced, right?
