  1. I think it's precisely because of the Grombrindal series that people (including me) were expecting him to be a permanent, non-Legends addition to the range. It felt like they were setting him up to serve as Grungni's 'avatar' on the tabletop, as well as lore. Especially after Gotrek.
  2. The bindings on the beard are from Fyreslayers, but admittedly I'm unsure of where the Kharadron doodads are. I guess the compass is supposed to be? They definitely played it a lot more subtle than I expected they would. Outside of Legends he'd make a good Warden King proxy for Dispossessed in that respect.
  3. It's probably because he's a limited edition model for the WD anniversary, but won't get a general release. Hopefully in the future we might see a different, regular production version. I realise that's very optimistic at this point but what the heck I'll always hope for more Dawi.
  4. They don't always say they'll show off a new model, even though they usually do. Poor intern probably just forgot.
  5. No models for AoS next week, but a new omnibus as well as Yndrasta: The Celestial Spear in paperback. Presumably it contains Gates of Azyr, Soul Wars and Dominion.
  6. Magic and Prayers preview, along with a couple more Warscrolls. Wizards and Priests now functioning somewhat differently in their mechanics I think is really cool.
  7. Skaven fluff article, mostly on their history until now.
  8. Combat in 4.0 preview. It's a pretty long (for WarCom) article, so you should give it a looksie.
  9. Rules preview for the new Darkoath. May be kind of redundant with 4.0 coming buuut...
  10. More pre-orders for Bretonnia, Tomb Kings and Orcs&Goblins next week. Also a new (?) transfer sheet for Bretonnia.
  11. And it's DARKOATH! As well as more Bretonnians, Tomb Kings and Orcs & Goblins. New transfer sheet for Bretonnia as well:
  12. Auric Hearthguard have their Magmapikes, so a bigger version of that isn't a stretch in my opinion - even if it looked more 'primitive' than a fancy Kharadron steampunk or ye olde Dispossessed cannon. In the lore, Fyreslayers are said to be just as good at engineering as the other Duardin, they just go about it differently.
  13. The core rules dropped on the first week of June, followed by the Indexes a week later, over the course of a week. If it's anything like 10th was, they'll probably release them in order of Core Rules -> Boxset units -> Stormcast -> Skaven -> Order -> Chaos -> Death or Destruction -> Death or Destruction.
  14. I think it's more of a 40k thing, where some (but far from all) tournaments wouldn't allow you to say... run Iron Hands if your army was painted as Ultramarines,
  15. Battle Traits and Formations rules preview for 4.0. Best Day Ever now seems to be Stormcast-exclusive, once again proving that Sigmar is a thief.
  16. Another 4.0 rules preview, this time covering Command Abilities and Reactions. There's a lot of pictures, so I won't post 'em all. As usual the article is worth a read.
  17. About the 4chan """leak""", I remember watching the recent Metawatch for Underworlds and them saying that it's never been more popular. It could just be marketing talk coming out of their mouths, but it's not like GW say things like that overly often despite all their PR chatter. It's also not the wildest statement if they're going off model sales - we know that even if the game itself isn't being played, people generally love UW for paint projects. It would be a strange move to suddenly decide to take it out back if it's doing as well as claimed. Plus, it's already had an established 'rotation' for semi-old sculpts in a way that most other systems don't, which would be a point in it's favour already if GW's concerns are with trimming down the amount of models they produce and store in a warehouse. Finally it's 4chan slash /tg/ and how often are leaks from there ever actually reliable? 1/10 times, if that?
