  1. Yeah the comet was pretty effective with the staff of focus it put 4 wounds on the vampire lord and necro, 2 (would have been 3 but his ability to halve dmg) wounds on the wight king and 3 on the morgahst then turn 3 I used storm caller and that finished all his heroes leaving just the skellies left and he only took out 1 dracoline and 6 sequitors by that point, it was pretty good but that was just in a garage hammer setting I would like to see how this runs in a tourny
  2. So I tried this list out this weekend against my buddy using my LoN with the Skellie Pope himself as the leader, 2 40 blocks of skeletons, a unit of morgahst, Vampire Lord, Necromancer, and a wight king. Let me say this list did some work, I took out Nagash in the first combat in round 2 with just 9 sequitors great weapons with the extra attack given by the celestial Vindicators, and that was after he unbound empower and celestial blades, I'm thinking of taking out the comet and subbing in the Lord-arcanum on graph charger instead of on foot to make empower auto cast and be unbindable. What do you guys think?
  3. I've been playing around with a hero heavy, Melee & Magic list with some trickery thrown in from the ghur realm artifacts. Fatemaster- 120. General, Artifact: shardfist pelt Command trait: Aether Teather Lord of Change- 380. Spell: Tzeentch's Fire Storm Tzanngor Shaman- 180. Spell: Arcane Transformation Magister- 140. Spell: Shield of Fate Ogroid Thaumaturge- 180. Spell: Infusion Arcanum Curseling- 160. Spell: Glimpse of the Future Battleline 20 Tzanngor- 360 16- paired savage blades. 4- great weapons 10 Kairic Acolytes- 80 10 Kairic Acolytes- 80 Warscroll Battalion Arcane cabal- 180 Endless Spell Crogmatic Cogs- 40 Balewind Vortex- 60 Quicksilver Swords- 20 Soulsnare Shackles- 20 2000pt/2000pt So with this list I have the casting power to throw around 7-9 spells per turn depending on my positioning. The Fatemaster as a general with Ather Teather and Shardfist Pelt is something that I've been wanting to try for a while. The Shardfist Pelt reflects 6+ saves back as mortal wounds and with the Fatemaster's ability to add 2 to his save it does mortal wounds reflected on saves of 4+ instead, basically if I use him to get into combat with a non-flying hoard unit that puts out a lot of wounds to save (eg. Skellies, Witch elves, etc) I get to roll all those saves at 2+ re rolling 1s and mortal wounding on 4+. I think it turns him into a defensive fortress that causes enemies to punch themselves in the face. I would have my Acolyte's screening my casters while my Tzanngor and Ogroid go out for Objectives and summon where need be. What do you guys think? Feedback would be greatly appreciated!
  4. Hello all, I've been playing around with a sacrosanct heavy list at 2k and think I found something I believe will be pretty powerful but would like some feedback on. Stormhost: Celestial Vindicators Lord-Arcanum on foot-180. General, spell: stormcaller, artifact: Staff of Focus Lord-Relictor- 100. Prayer: Translocation Lord-Castellent- 100. Artifact- storm rage blade 20 Sequitors- 400 20 Sequitors- 400 5 Liberators- 100 5 Evocators- 200. Spell: Celestial blades 3 Evocators on Dracoline-300. 2 with granstaff, Spell: Celestial blades Warscroll Battalion- Cleansing phalanx- 120 Endless spell: everblaze comet- 100 So I feel like with this list, depending on the objective of the match, I would set up my lord- Arcanum, Lord-relector, Liberators, and Evocators on Dracolines on the board with the rest of my army in the Celestial realm so they can be positioned wherever they need to be. Both of the Evocators units take Celestial blades in case one dies so you can continue buffing whichever stack of sequitors need it while the second unit casts empower on the same unit of sequitors if both evocators stay alive (situationally they could also buff up themselves if they are in combat danger). The Sequitors do not need to channel to their weapons if empower is cast on them because of the cleansing phalanx so they can always channel their shields for rerolling failed saves, as well as having the Lord-Castellent buffing the chosen unit of sequitors to a 3+ save the sequitors become a very hard unit for your opponent to deal with, and if they do focus on that unit and take it down there is still another 20 sequitors for them to deal with. Then there's the Lord-Arcanum with the everblaze comet and the staff of focus adding an extra mortal wound on all wounded units by the comet and his Stormcaller spell. And all backed up with the extra utilities of a Lord-Relictor to back it up. What do y'all think?
