The Silent Shadow (MOURNGHUL) The Silent shadow stalks the lands of Ulgu, it moves silently between forest and through barricades. Often the only evidence is a destroyed town or wagon , the rare tines survivors are found they tell tales of a silence descending over the area, where no sound can be heard, soundlessly the Shadow descends and begins its feast, some survivors tell of friends and comrades carried off by it to an uncertain fate, others that all defences and barricades proved useless, as it passed though even the strongest walls as if they weren't ven there. No one knows why it attacks or where it came from, some say it is a force of nature others conjured by a mad wizard or working for The Smiling man. The only thing the stories can agree on, is that it is hungry.

Shadow Bride (Tomb Banshee) There is a story of a ypung bride to be wed to the towns nobles son, however on the day of the wedding he called it off, with no explanation. In espair she begged for an explanation but he would not tell her. Eventually driven the madness by the whispers of the townsfolk. Swearing to find happinessshe left the town and sought the laughing man to be her groom. Finding this to be hilarious he agreed and she joined him in the shadows. She is still out there seeking out any who would betray there love.

The Jailer (Black Coach) If you are sentenced to Jail then you will have the pleasure of meeting the Jailer. He transports his prisoners to serve their sentences, where is unknown, though no one has wver truly wanted to know, as he travels the roads the wailing of the damned can be heard, I wouldn't reccomend a jailbreak though as mercy is not a virtue the Jailer has, but patience is.

Shadows of Judgement (hexwraiths) Traveling the winding roads of ulgu us dangerous, one of the reasons for that danger are the judges. These beings travel the roads seeking the guilty, lije motha to a flame they track their quarry, seeking to mete out justice, or at least what they consider justice. Whatever your crime just hope for the death penalty and that they dont deem it worthy of imprisoment.

The Lonely Shadows(spirit hosts) Often seen accompanying or directly after a vust of he smiling man are the lonely shadows. These morse creatures are seen in groups sobbing silently as they search for new 'friends'. Many rumours of there origins exist, some saying the smiling man created them from the soyls he claims, others that they simply follow in his wake knowing that he will lead them to more people. If you see a black tarlike shadow you can be sure there coming, and though they are always lonely, they are never alone.

In the realm of shadows there are many myths relating the the "starving shadows'. Here is acollection of sone of the more common. The Laughing man (cairn wraith) Believed by many to be a leader of sorts the laughing man is spoken of in hushed tones, with many believing that even mentioning his name will summon him. Those who have been unfortunate enough to encounter him speak of his mirthless laugh, as he goes about his grim buisness of collecting more fuel to create shadows to join him in his joy. Oddly he always leaves some survivors to spread his name.

This will be the last post for Dr Nicklestein for now as I have got the force up to 1000 points im going to start the next realm, Nighthaunt from the realm of shadow.

Experiment 537 - (Terrorgeist) Eperiment 537, if not Nicklesteins greatest success, is certainly his largest. Galen Bale had not forgotten his defeat, or the hirris his men had suffered, and spent the next several years building a force with which to assault his lab, even managing to recruit a mighty beast 'oenetas' to lead the charge. And so it happened that returning at the head of a small army , Gareth Bale returned to Havenbrook. Swearing to free his men the assault began at daybreak, however Dr Nicklestein had been busy, and his army the Crying Toads, met with severe resisance. Assisted by his allies, Dr Nicklestein managed to repel the brunt of the attack. As his army stalled trying to clear there way through the mass of dead that filled the grounds he realised he need to strike the head. With a mighty bellow he and Oenetas flew in to finish Dr Nicklestein himself. As he closed in for the kill he saw The Dr brandishing an odd black artifact. Another gift From Dr Thutep he black heart had slowly been storing energy from the dead and dying during the battle, now unleashed the vicious purple blast blew Oenetas wing off forcing the might beast to the ground. A group of Expriment 469 quickly movedto finish him off. Managing to evade them Bale charged Dr Nicklestein only to be intercepted by his former comrades, unable to face thrm or reach Nicklestein he again fled. After the battle Dr Nicklestein was overjoyed to have such fine matwrial to work with and quickly began experimenting on oenetas. Eventually giving birth the Experiment 537.

Jakob "smiling jack" Druitt (wraith) Anotger , if more unlikeley friendship, was formed with Jakob Druitt. Druitt was a notrious killer in havenbrook, dubbed smiling jack, he terrorised the area for several years. Given Dr Nicklesteins activities it was inevitable for the two to meet, and an unlikely friendship formed between them. When smiling Jack was eventualky cornered and killed by a local vigilante group, Nikletein attempted to bring him back. He initially thought he had failed, until he recieved a visit for Jack, who had come returned, though now ghostlike. He thanked the Dr and returned to spread fear amongst Havenbrook again.

Nicklesteins allies. Over the years as Dr Nicklesteinhas begyb to connect with various other scientists around Havenbrook. Dr Frankof 'Franky' Helsnicht(ghoul king) While searching for a cure for his wife Dr Nicklestein reached out to to a local chemist who had a reputation for unorthodox, yet effective, potions and tinctures. Upon meeting each other they immediately recognised eachother as kindred spirits and quickly became close friends, indeed Dr helsnicht was one of the few who know of the work Dr Nicklestein is doing. Always weak and sickly Dr Helsnicht longed to find a concoction to make him strong, as he deteriorated, Dr Nicklestein aquired some new items from his main source and inspiration Dr Thutep, useing yhese Dr helsnicht was able to create a potion that not only restored him, but gave him incredible strength and vitality. However he has began to have blackouts, loseing time, waking up with the taste of blood in his mouth and dreams of the world turning red.

Experiment 469 (crypt horrors): After the success of experiment 331 Dr Nicklestein continued to try different formulas and methods. Experiment 469 was one of the stable strains. Though retaining less control than 331 there ibcreased strength and resilience make them excellent as shock troops.

Experiment 331 : His initial experiments to return living beings to life met with failure, until experiment number 331. With this experiment he managed to bring back rudimentary body functions, though he had returned the corpses to "living" , they lacked sentience. Subsequent attempts have focused on increasing the amount of sentience retained, though it is still barely above that of an animal they form the bulk of his laboratory defences. After his initial success with experiment 331 Dr Nicklestein became less cautious and overeached with his collection of materials from the local graveyard, due to this the town became suspicious and hired the mercenary group " the dancing toads" led by Galen Bale to investigate the labratory and grounds belonging to Dr Nicklestein. Unfortunatley the newly created experiments 331 quickly iveewhelmed the group and they were added to his forces with only Galen escaping, vowing revenge. The remnants of the Dancing Toads were swiftly returned to service, orehaps due to the freshness of the materials or just a quirk of the formula they have retained slighty nore intelligence and now serve as Nicklesteins personal guard. Though this incident has caused him to be more cautious, as for the people of havenbrook many belived that they mercenaries had stolen away with the money, others suspected the truth but as Nicklestein now took efforts to cover his crimesand there own fear, none were willing to to push the matter.

The first force I've begun was Dr Nicklestein and his experiments in the realm of metal. Dr Nicklestein was a good, if eccentric, Doctor living near the city of Havenbrook. One day his wife took ill with with a wasting disease, in his frantic attempts to cure her he slowly descended into madness, his experiments becoming more deranged in his desperation to save her. It was all for naught as his wife died in his arms. Loseing her destroyed what little sanity he had left and he began practicing necromancy alongside his "science". He now seeks more "material" to continue his experiments and bring his beloved back to life. But the people of havenbrook are beginning to notice..
