  1. I played 20 Morteks with a Harvester behind them in crematorians. The Healing was redicilous. That had to be changed. You have to rethink the Harvester. Lot of people missed the small things. Before the harvester had to sit behind the mortek wall "just to heal them". Now he can be within 6" of the unit. that said he can move abite more, is more flexible and can go into combat. The 2nd thing is a lot better. Befor you had to roll a dice every time a slain model was removed. removing model happanes one by one. so rolling dice did. Now you roll all dice together and you have a "healing pool" that can get above 3 or 5 wounds. Meaning that you can revive Deathrider, Immortis Guard/Stalkers or even Morghast (in a unit of 4 or more). Just think about having 6 Immortis Guard, loosing 4 of them. With the new Harvester you can bring back one Immortis Guard. Thats 67 value of points. 2 Harvester and 2x6 Immortis Guard, paired with Boneshaper with Artisan's Key in Petrifex Elite or Null Myriad is nearly unkillable. Give the Boneshaper Aura of Sterility and you laugh against all KO, Tzeentch and Lumineth Lists out there. Maybe you have just sometimes take a step back and rethink the usage of Units. Just because you played it for along time one way just doesn't mean you can't use them a other "new" way.
  2. Like Bonzai said, the 4 curent subfactions will be cut down to one single ability each. Maybe battleline option will stay as they are. i don't belive in new models. but i do belive that horros will get buffed. maybe just like Ogor Gluttons. They got -1 Rend and 2" reach. nothing special but maybe good enough to consider a pick besides flayers. most of the batlletome will be the same. feeding frenzy could be cast by champions too. good thing is, you will be able to play feast day delusion in blisterskin. but i'm not expecting a lot of love or new things. 4-6 battle tactics, 3 grand strategies and 3 batailons. each of this things tied up to Ghouls, Horrors and Flayers
  3. I too feel 3rd Ed. is just pointing at Falyers. Just look at them. Flying, -> check, fast -> check, shooting (no penelty with unleash hell) -> check Mortal Wound output -> check Put them into heartlands battalion and let them scream next to a GKoTG with a grim garland.
  4. I played a coupl of games and have to admit that FLoSH is even better then before. Usind all out Defense or all out Attack on a FLoSH ist very strong. The possibility to choose the same Mount Trait (in a Boulderhead List) is crazy. I played 3 FLoSH all of them with Metalcruncher. So many MW on charges and pre combat that most Units die even before combat so that my FL can pile in to the 2nd row/heroes behind the destroyed screen. The smaller field is often in a 18" distance what is nothing for a 14" or 15" moving FLoSH. Just throw 3 of them in your list, 3x 2 Mournfang and a Slaugthermaster for awesome Buffs and pott using in the 2nd battle round.
  5. Hey folks, it is clear that rerolls just can be done once. Furtermore we have learned, that checking if a roll is succesfull happens before modifikations. Yesterday my friend and i had a situation we hadn't before. He tried to cast a Spell with a casting value of 7. He rolled a 6. Following effects where apllied at that moment: His wizard gains +1 to cast He was able to reroll failed casting rolls I had an aura (his Wizard was within) which causes enemy wizards to reroll succesfull casting rolls. What was right in that Situation? To Reroll his casting roll?
  6. Hey guys, i was thinking about the new Dynasties and how they can be used. I looked at the models and the new rules to the older ones and thought about a List running a Vampire Lord on Zombie Dragon paired with a Coven Throne in an Avengorii List. The new Lance Buff on VLoZD ist great. The new Command Ability on Coven Throne is even better. The changed Amythystine Pinions (now +6" Move) seems very good. The Monstrous Battle Trait makes him more durable. The fact that you don't have to take a artefact from the Avengorii List gives you the possibility to choose the PPP (Plate of perfect Protection) makes this guys so hillarious. Thinking about the changes in AoS 3.0 (healing, buffing with Heros/Monsters) in every turn makes this guy even more good. What do you thing? I mean no one will play the new Vampire Monsters after fielding this beast.
  7. Strange thing is not all CC Units have AoS Warscrolls. The two units of bats and the rat swarm hasn't any warscroll yet. With the other Rat Vampire there will be some synergie/buff for the Rats in AoS. Why release a Rat Vampire Lord without Rats? An other thing i realized is, that the necromancer doesn't have "Deathly Invocation" any more. Just Redukar has this. Even The Zombie and Skeleton Hero has not "Deathly Invocation". The Vampires are compareable to Vargheist. 3 Attacks on 3/3/-1/2. 5+ save and 6+ Feel no Pain, Vampires got 6+ save and 5+ feel no pain. Vargheist have 12" move and fly. Vampires have 8" and can fly over terrain. both are not summonable
  8. In the cursed City Box Bats Swarms are already shown. They will get a new Model. For me it is far more importent to see new Warscrolls. Bat Swarms and Fell Bats were not played because theire warscrolls are meh yet.
  9. I loved Grave Guards when LoN hit the Realms. They are good. Maybe they become 2'' Range with 2-handed Glaives. That would bring them back to the table.
  10. The silhouette of the guy in the middle is the "wolf"* sitting on the throne in the Ulfenkarn Video at 0:13. It was called Wolf at the end of the video 0:44.
  11. That would be great. But i think the Story has to go in this direction for such a release. We still don't know what nagash is thinking about the things that happened in the Morathi book. Katakros is still sitting in the Eightpoints, Lady Olynder waiting for instruction. The other 3 Mortarchs ain't doing a thing.
  12. I think and hope there will come a battletome like Orruk Warclans for LoN, Soulblight and Nighthaunt. Here you can find every Warscroll of each unit from the above mentioned factions. Each of them get a stand alone Subfaction with diffrent Legions/Bloodlines/Hosts, just like in the most updated Battletomes. Despite you get one big Death faction, where you are able to play each Death unit - or just from the units inside of this book - in one mixed army. Like i said, just like the Orruk Book, where you can finde Ironjaws, Bonesplitterz and other Big Waaagh! Allegiance
  13. @Bayul jep, your list is pretty solid. My experience with Traits and Artifact is not to overextend on one specific model. Your General has the super hard artifact and the (maybe best) mountrait. If i would be your opponent, i would try to focus this one down first. leaving your other guys with the not so good options. Maybe you try to spread them. An other advice: choose chamon as your realm. Plate of Perfect Protection is awesome. Ignoring Rend -1 is nearly ethereal.
  14. I would like to see something diffrent to the currents units Death can choose from. Skeletons and Zombies have bad or even no saves. Their attacks arn't that good (just many). Cavalery is quiet fast but durable. I would like to see an elite army. Look at the Blood Knights for example. I like the Idea of a small unitsize of good armoured and good equiped fighters. Give all vampires something like a blood frenzy. when the killed something and spoiled blood they got some bonuses on attacks and to hit/to wound, but also get some malus on saves of can't flee. something like that to represent they had fallen into a status of wilder vampires and not thet noble fighters they ware at the start of a match. there could be a healing mechanic, the leader cuts himself and get some mortal wounds, then he heals every soulblight unit in x" for D3 (other heroes included, not just summonable). Like Honk said before, the 4 Bloodlines in LoN are a good starting point. 4 Bloodline, every representet by a named hero
  15. Yeah, to understand what I tried to say with activating the different command abilities. Very good point with the flat 3" range on the Batailon description. This will change something and charging one at a time would be far more easyer. Maybe I have to change my playstyle and go more for objective game than trying to kill his Bloodthirster

When I said I could play everything in death faction accept OBR, I mean that I could go nearly everything you could imagine. 3 Terrorgheist / Zombiedragon, 80 Ghouls, 27 Knights. 80 skeletons, 20 GG, 2 Vampire Lords, 2 Necromancer, Arkhan. 80 Chainrasp, 30 Grimghast, Olynder, 8 Banshees, 10 Harridans, 10 Hexwraith, Coach, Mourngul List is long. I tried different things before. Charging just one of them. Problem here they can pile in 6". Shooting not enough in death faction. Casting, rerolls and - 1 because of the shrine, skulls and Bloodsecrator. Going for objectives just went wrong. I splitted my army to hold as much objectives as possible. He just shreds through them and holding the objectives and I can't get behind that castle. Just playing a passive and fast list, because there is no other way to handle it, seems very disappointing. Sure it will be victory but even Nagash needs some souls of dead units. That's not the way I like to play.

  18. Hey folks, first things first. I am not a Khorne player. I play Death (everything except OBR) and Ogors. I am helpless i want to ask you (Khorne players) for advice. "That one guy" in my local store is playing Khorne. Its ok, i'm fine with that, but i don't like Skarbrand and the way he goes crazy with buffs, command abilities and so on. With the the following list he wrecks me face. Some highlights: all 3 Bloodthirster are bubblewrapped in the Warriors and Reavers. Each standing next to the other. The Insensate Rage guy gets buffed by both Priets. He is also wearing the artefact to attack at the start of the combat phase. Now the show begins. So he gonna roll that 4+, uses 2 Command Points, one with the Unfettered Fury one and the other to attack twice with (my beloved) Skarbrand. So everbody is buffed by the Bloodsecrator, especially Skarbrand (who ddn't fight in the first Round). He is attacking 4 times with alle the guys. 6's with the Insenate Rage deamon rain down my units within 8", skarbrand doing his thing and throwing minimum of 16 Mortal Wounds on a 1+ (stupid ability) and some massive hits with his 2nd weapon, twice. Alltogether something aroung 44 Wounds. Most of the units die before they can do anything, don't forget all that things happen AT THE START of the combat phase. After he whiped the floor with my miniatures and proud i can try to fight back with the little which get left behind by his slaughter. I nearly forgot to mention that Skardbrand doing this 2 times in the 2nd battleround. So alltogether 88 Wounds in 4 activations. Thats the point i can't understand how unbalanced a single model can be and thats why i need some advice, how t handle "that one guy" in my local store. Thank you for reading and pointing with your finger at me while you can't stop laughing.   20. Long time ago i had an nasty idea for a Grand Alliance Death List. Growing your list with a Archregent and some more Flayers
  22. The Lists seems ok, but you choose only 1 Unit that got a point reduction... But LoB doesn't seem to me the best choice. LoS or GHoN will be - like before- more valueable choices. When you want a VLoZD take Balefire Lantern / Azyrbane Standard.
  23. i think (and hope) there will be a new Death Battletome. I think it's gonna be Soulblight. Soulblight wouldn't be that hard to bring on the table. Flesh Eater Courts Start Collecting Box would be fine. 1 Vampire Lord on Zombie Dragon, 3 Vargheist and 10 Ghouls, which could be the new Soulblight Battleline. Just bring a new Pack with Stormcast or something and given each a new Hero on a Mount. I could imagine something like Nighthaunt already has. +1 to Hit / to Attacks from Vampire Lord on foot / on steed. Make the Bloodlines individual allegiances like all other new armies already have. A new unique resurrection which could be similar to Slaanesh. Each time a hero kill an enemy model you can heal a Soulblight unit wholly within 18" for half of the the wound characteristic, rounded up. If no wounds are currently allocated to a unit you have picked, you may instead return a number of slain models to it that have a combined Wounds characteristic half to or less than the wound characterist of the slain model.
  24. I too think Glottons, Leadbelcher and Ironguts will be in warcry. Heroes like Tyrant and Butcher / Slaughter Master are to expensive und to strong. Maybe there will be some Leaders from the listed units above.
  25. Nighthaunt units without Guardian of Souls are a bit wasted imo. The +1 to Wound is such a good buff, you want it always. its for free! Maybe make a 30 uni of Grimghast and add the Guardian of Souls
