"After they can not begin or finish their movement in 3 ", they will need at least a 7" movement to move across a unit."

It's actually 8" minimum since the unit also needs to get all of it's base across the board on the opposite edge of denied area

Yeah, I think I had that example from the old blog (at best defining the basesize).

It's basicly only the room the model covers (and in case of non flying units it works because the non flying unit has to move around the model).

It in case of flying units we basicly would have at least <basesize_defender>" + (3" * 2) + <basesize_flyer>" Movement to move over the unit (if it is a single model or a single line of models).

I will look how I will get that point right.

Great stuff. I would add one more (especially with all the recent attack first last abilities and 6” pile ins) To determine the attack order. If it’s your turn, have a think about what unit you’ll select first and what your opponent will likely do.

Do you have to attack with another first but will you opponent then get the chance to maul your combat unit. Get them out of there especially if you have the chance on the double.

I will look that I can add some things. (at the moment the old blog entry from @Matthijs is still quite present in this blog). I think one of the next blog entries will either be charge or pile in, so there is still room for first Attack, longer pile in etc.)

@EMMachine I thought about that, but after reviewing the updated base size charts I decided not to. It's more of a personal quirk - I don't like altering base sizes if I don't have to because I don't like spending on bases. Those Prosecutors are gorgeous! Does a 6 man unit with paired hammers and the 2 grandhammers work well for you?

It's more a project thing in my case. Beside this unit I have one 6 man unit with Hammer + Shield and 2 Grandblades, and a 6 man unit with Javelins and Tridents.

I actually never had them on the field.

@EMMachinehey we both paint Celestial Vindicators! can I get your steps for painting the turquoise armor?

Sure. In my case it's not the standardversion. I used

    • Thousand Sons Blue
    • Nuln Oil  / Drakenhof Nightshade / Coelia Greenshade
    • Thousand Sons Blue (retouch)
    • Ahriman Blue
    • Baharroth Blue

In case of Shade, there was a little evolution. At the beginning, I had used Nuln Oil, I think the Prosecutors were the first Models I used Drakenhof Nightshade and actually I use Coealia Greenshade (mostly because it is closer to the Colors I use than the other 2, and it's less retouching).

(I should actually make a post with the Paintlist in the project)

  4. Hm, I think there are two problems.

1.) there is no mentioning in the new rules that you can take a spectific Allegiance and Grand Alliance Allegiance Abilities. So there is the question if it is possible in this Edition taking the Cityrules in a Army with Specific Allegiance.

    2. you have 5 Allied Units in your Army. The rule that you only can take 1 Ally per 4 units is not overriden by Matched Play (the 400 Points maximum for 2000 Points is in addition to the corerule Restriction), so you would need 15 Order Serpentis Units and I only see 8

  5. First I thought Order of the golden rose could be a good Idea, but than I found multiple posts on Twitter with exacly that wording.

After I didn't found anything to "Order of the Verdant Cycle" I think I choose this. I made two collector tweets on Twitter that could be found with #OrderOfTheVerdantCycle

Now I have to change the references in my stories. The advantage is that I'm now free, what I want to use for my banners, too.

    Scions of the Everqueen

    Order of the Eternal Goddess

    ...

Interestingly something like "Order of the Everqueen" I thought after @Gecktron last post. Would perhaps sound better than "Order of Alarielle".

In case of Scions, I think that would be more related to Sylvaneth than Aelfs and Humans.
