    I am so excited, like, just take my money! Hopefully all the old beastmen models have good rules though, I have so many gors that haven't really got to play much in AoS.

    I have a game arranged for next week, it'll be my first of the new edition and I'm going in a little blind, my generals hand book wont arrive till after the game! so for summoning I'm just filling a spare case with saurus and skinks and seeing what happens for that As for the list... Allegiance: Seraphon Slann Starmaster (260) - General - Trait: Vast Intellect Engine of the Gods (220) - Artefact: Incandescent Rectrices Saurus Astrolith Bearer (160) Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur (260) - Artefact: Blade of Realities 5 x Saurus Knights (90) - Lances 5 x Saurus Knights (90) - Lances 5 x Saurus Knights (90) - Lances 10 x Skinks (60) - Boltspitters & Moonstone Clubs 1 x Salamanders (40) 3 x Skink Handlers (40) Bastiladon (280) Bastiladon (280) Thunderquake Starhost (120) Total: 1990 / 2000 Extra Command Points: 1 I think it should be fun, I like a lot of monsters and, while I know knights are probably not optimal, I do like them. So any thoughts or suggestions?

    I didn't get last months pledge done, but I got some! So, picture of my bloodletters at the end of the post.     Hardest kit you've built?

    Most of the plastic fantasy stuff has not been too bad, nothing to drive me mad. Finecast though, ewww. Nearly everything I've got of that has needed some reshaping of sorts. My keeper of secrets was so warped that his leg was nearly right up at his head before I fixed him. As for metal, I didn't like that either. My bone giant was the first model I ever pinned and that was a learning experience!
  6. I voted lock. I was going to say keep, but if new ones are being made and the old are being archived in some manner then a clean start for the new version seems good to me.

    The Painting Contract - May 2018

    progress (warning, crappy pics >.< )! I have built all the stuff and made a start on the lord, his dog is painted and his cloak is mostly done. I have also painted my tester bloodletter. Well, the skin and stuff anyway. His sword will be painted as firey embers kinda but I'm missing some paints that I'll pick up in town tomorrow. I'm going to go with a more subdued red for all my daemons I think. Finally, I have yet to think of how to base these guys. I might be boring and just do stirland mud and tufts, it would fit in with the dark theme I guess.

    Updating past Battletomes

    I'd love to see some updates and changes to my flesh eaters. I guess first would be the ability to take Flayers and Horrors as battle line without the courtiers being generals. It feels weird my ghoul king on zombie dragon has to take a back seat there. I'd like to see usable command abilities for my hero's. The courtiers don't have any and currently they have to act as generals while the Ghoul kings are really underwhelming, the summoning they allow never seemed useful to me. The Flayers ranged attacks would be more useful if they were brought more in line with the courtiers ranged attack, basicly just being a normal shooting attack. I know when I've used these guys I've almost never been able to hurt the opponent even if I were to roll sixes. Maybe even if it were changed in some other way, just so that it was useful! Lastly, I like delusions, just a change to feeding frenzy would be cool. I don't think its a very likely thing to happen and its something I tend to just forget. I don't think I'll see big changes though, there are other armies that don't even have books and I think a lot could be done on all this just in the next generals hand book. Here's hoping!

    At first I wasn't sure on the Astrolith, but I reread it. For some reason I had it in my head it was reroll ones in combat, not a flat reroll all hits. So, the bastiladon and stegadon rerolling hits and wounds... owch!

    Hey, thanks for the feedback. I can see what you mean with the Bastiladon, one of them will always be un-shielded. As for the Stegadon, how do you think I should load him out? The fire throwers seem cool but the bow has good range. I can picture it sniping weaker support characters pretty well. As for dropping stuff for an Astrolith, should it be the knights or some skinks? Finally I guess, should the skinks be blowpipes or javelins? I'm leaning at pipes for the range mostly.

    Hi guys. Recently a path to glory group has started up in the group I play and I thought, hey, finally an excuse to rebase all my lizardmen (and get used to calling them Seraphon too ). So far its been fun, and the Bastiladon is a total beast in small games but I've been thinking on how to build the army for a full 2000 point list. So I was wondering if I could get some feed back on things. This is the first list I was thinking of.     Unglorious Heroes

    I have yet to have a unit or hero be consistently bad in AoS, but back in the world of the past my Slann mage would regularly blow up himself and his unit of temple guard. It was a rare game that he didn't self destruct his own army.
  14. Low point games can be a lot of fun, they go quickly, you can get a few games in on a single night and are also fun for an army you're just starting on. But I do love bigger games, they let you bring out toys you wouldn't get to use otherwise like some of the bigger monsters and large formations and the like. Often in a smaller game I think the big stuff can feel way out of place and kind of ruin some of the fun.
