  1. I found this in a Gotrek & Felix book last night, GW is recycling trademark names it seems 😉 WarCry was a CCG from 2003-2007, in 2019 it will be a new AoS-based game. Thought I’d post this today since reusing and recycling is in the spirit of Earth Day 😀
  2. Noticed some gaps on the Austin area map, so here you go (including the second GW store of the area that isn't currently listed): Store Location: 2438 West Anderson Lane, Austin, TX 78757, USA Name: Dragon's Lair Contact: http://dlair.net/austin/, 512-454-2399 Community Location: Dragon's Lair (see above), Sundays from 10am (except the first Sunday of every month) Name: Austin Weirdnobz Contact: FB group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1479013842409796/?ref=group_header Store Location: University Commons Shopping Center 200 University Blvd, Suite 220, Round Rock, Texas 78665-1001, USA Name: Warhammer University Commons Contact: Their FB page is: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=106129543203982&ref=br_rs
  3. Daughters of Khaine thoughts... the current Cauldron of Blood/Bloodwrack Shrine kit says it comes with a 40mm round base, that seems too small for both the Bloodwrack Medusa (I have mine on a 50mm since before and it's perfect) and the Avatar of Khaine. The Avatar in particular is puzzling, the only photo of one on foot in the book has the base obscured by mists (p. 34) and the 360-degree view of one on the GW online store suggests it is on a 50mm base (I did some measuring on the screen and in real life to find comparison points). The Medusa I could maybe see on a 40mm though she does splay out a bit then (and heroes tend to be on larger bases than their infantry counterparts, the new Melusai are on 40mm), but certainly never the 25mm the document currently suggests. Actually I just looked in the book and the Bloodwrack Medusa there is clearly on a 50mm base. I think they should both be listed as 50mm due to their model sizes, relative impacts on the game and GW precedents - thoughts?
  4. Full color instructions is a first, or? Don't recall seeing that before at least.
  5. Isn't that the Lord of the Rings ruins set though? Not sure, but it looks similar at least.
  6. But since they're female, you're more inclined to go x4? That's certainly more what I'm thinking!
  7. Anyone seen anything as far as a release date goes? I really want that dark elf box...
  8. Unfortunately not: "In a Pitched Battle, your general must be a Leader, and may not be an ally."
  9. I'm intrigued by the possible implication that we may get more leader warscrolls added that make better use of the "fighty" abilities. But it's also possible they just didn't think this through.
  10. Starlight

    Maiden Guard

I use them as Eternal Guard myself. I had spares of the current Eternal Guard shields so I put those on them as well to make them blend in even better, but that's optional obviously.
  11. Ok, I need a giant beetle on my battlefield now. Make it happen, GW.
  12. That is a very buff forest goblin. I like the Sylvaneth/Aelf combo, definitely hoping for minis resembling that.
  13. Not being familiar with all of the comp systems out there, can you please specify which system you are referring to with your "points" and "pools"? There are a few out there after all, and which one is popular in your area might not correlate with which one is popular elsewhere I'd be partial to the Sisters of the Watch myself (but then again I'm partial to all aelfs), but the way you depict them it sounds like they may be less attractive in your comp system. Oh, and great post - looking forward to more such comparisons
