  1. I think release wise AoS will be fine this year. The whole Skirmish thing is slightly confusing because the advert doesn't have a 'proper' logo. Other than that we know there's a new starter set/game called Thunder and Blood coming out in the summer that was shown off at the GAMA games fair in the US and we have Shadowspire to look forward to later in the year. Were only in second quarter of the year and i hope we see at least one Battletome a quarter but even without that over the summer we've had two brand new Battletomes with Tzeench Disciples and Kharadron Overlords and the relaunch of Stormcast Eternals and Blades of Khorne.
  2. Or are GW using another company's mats? There are already a lot of mats out there with most of the standard terrain covered. I'm not a fan of the 4x4 mats GW have done as the 'terrain' on them is too restrictive. I think GW would be better served sticking to their gaming boards and letting other companies make the battlemats.
  3. I'd like to see this format in a printer friendly version. Also that £20 starter box is brilliant. I know it's been done by other companies but this is a great way to get new younger players into the hobby without a massive investment. All it needs is a fold out 2' by 2' play mat with a poster on the other side.
  4. Yeah, that's partly due to having fewer unit choices and to limit people taking all the power units. This is only for matched play though, the other ways to play aren't restricted this way, although you might not get many games if you just want to turn up and smash face. I'm sure 'net lists' will be back before long.
  5. Hmm, maybe he was guessing based on the way the list was formatted as they didn't have single figure costs and they are trying to keep the matched play as simple as possible.
  6. According to my old store manager the unit sizes are based on the size they are sold in. So one unit is one box and if you want to have more you do it by adding another box. If there's demand for it I guess people will just divide the unit point cost by the number of figures in the box. This might be useful for when boxes have 10 or more models in them.
