  1. I think release wise AoS will be fine this year. The whole Skirmish thing is slightly confusing because the advert doesn't have a 'proper' logo. Other than that we know there's a new starter set/game called Thunder and Blood coming out in the summer that was shown off at the GAMA games fair in the US and we have Shadowspire to look forward to later in the year. Were only in second quarter of the year and i hope we see at least one Battletome a quarter but even without that over the summer we've had two brand new Battletomes with Tzeench Disciples and Kharadron Overlords and the relaunch of Stormcast Eternals and Blades of Khorne.
  2. Or are GW using another company's mats? There are already a lot of mats out there with most of the standard terrain covered. I'm not a fan of the 4x4 mats GW have done as the 'terrain' on them is too restrictive. I think GW would be better served sticking to their gaming boards and letting other companies make the battlemats.
  3. In White Dwarf September 2016 they had cards for "Slaughterpriest with Hackblade and Wrath-hammer" as well as "Grombrindal The White Dwarf" (a repackaged Unforged) On Saturday the 24th of September GW launched pre-orders for: Warhammer Quest Arcane Heroes: models and rules for Grey Seer, Chaos Sorcerer, Knight Heraldor, Sorceress, Skink Priest. But again no cards included. Warhammer Quest Silver Tower Hero Cards: all the cards previously available in the app and White Dwarf apart from Grombrindal The White Dwarf and the Branchwych, as well as all the characters in the expansions Mighty Heroes and Arcane Heroes. All of which means that you could now field a team of four characters entirely for: Stormcast Eternals: Knight-Azyros, Knight-Heraldor, Knight-Questor, Knight-Venator, Knight-Vexillor, Lord Castellant, Lord-Celestant, Lord-Relictor Khorne Bloodbound: Aspiring Death Bringer with Goreaxe and Skullhammer, Bloodsecrator, Bloodstoker, Exalted Deathbringer with Ruinous Axe, Exalted Deathbringer with Impaling Spear, Skullgrinder, Slaughterpriest, Slaughterpriest with Hackblade and Wrath-hammer Fyreslayers: Fyreslayer Doomseeker, Grimwrath Berzerker, Auric Runemaster, Battlesmith Duardin: Warden King, Runelord, Cogsmith and Unforged Aelves: Mistweaver Saih, Tenebrael Shard, Assassin, Black Ark Fleet Master, Loremaster, Sorceress Nomad Prince, Branchwych What I would like to see next would be a dungeon expansion with new tiles and new Dungeon, Skill and Treasure cards perhaps for Nurgle's Garden. I think they should do them for each of the Chaos Gods as they all have plenty of demons. If wishes were horses I'd also love a generic castle that looks a bit more human in origin.
  4. I'd like to see this format in a printer friendly version. Also that £20 starter box is brilliant. I know it's been done by other companies but this is a great way to get new younger players into the hobby without a massive investment. All it needs is a fold out 2' by 2' play mat with a poster on the other side.
  5. Yeah, that's partly due to having fewer unit choices and to limit people taking all the power units. This is only for matched play though, the other ways to play aren't restricted this way, although you might not get many games if you just want to turn up and smash face. I'm sure 'net lists' will be back before long.
  6. Hmm, maybe he was guessing based on the way the list was formatted as they didn't have single figure costs and they are trying to keep the matched play as simple as possible.
  7. According to my old store manager the unit sizes are based on the size they are sold in. So one unit is one box and if you want to have more you do it by adding another box. If there's demand for it I guess people will just divide the unit point cost by the number of figures in the box. This might be useful for when boxes have 10 or more models in them.
