  1. pfff… It's not an hobby, it's a full time job, I force myself to arbitrary dislike 70% of the models but I would still need to hire some assistants to follow GW release schedule...
  2. My man complain with ID : 1 king, 2x3 saber eels, a shark and a turtle = 1040... Pity, it would have been such a sexy and fluffy 1000 pts army... I hope the shark or the turtle will get a points reduction at some point. (or a cheaper see-creature battleline in a couple of years... beside some crazy hermit crabs, lantern fish, urchin, wales, octopus stuff...)
  3. Interesting how the first Underworld warbands were mini AoS units, with various weapons to personalise the different soldier and their (sexy) champion. Easy to put a AoS warscroll on that. But now we got a proper hero (wizard except KO) and often soldiers from various units. Much better to flesh out at faction, but super tricky to make a warscroll… Maybe a wizz and his bodyguards ? or no warscroll ? (NB, as a non competitive player I love to add those warbands to my AoS armies) PS : the 2 factions from the box set seem designed in a conservative way, like Shadespire warbands. They were probably the first to be designed. Possibly because they wanted the basic guys to complete the Soul Wars unit, or maybe for fluff reasons, like a banshee will probably not hang out with a revenant, a reaper and a stalker... ). Pity, 2 evocators, with swords, is boring...
  4. The queen look even more fragile than a BB skaven model... I would have prefer a more fancy base, but she will fit nicely with her Mortach and some new banshees. For her minions, maybe buy 2 boxes when they will release the separate warband to get 10 (+2)...
  5. It would make sense that all 8 factions will have access to the new spells mechanic. But it could mean no KO. Or maybe a navigator with some wind control "magic" and dispells ?
  6. I am not convinced by the colorful bushes/flowers, but I love your leather/blue contrast, and your yellowish tan. It works super well on the last photo with the purplish brown skin. It will be a super nice army, super colors, good paint job, and originality everywhere (your super coll big beast !!)
  7. I planned to use an extra shipwreck, glue some (high) parts to the base, and glue the tail of the eels to the shipwreck
  8. I will do mine with 2 dreadblade harrows sets, parts of the 4 soulwar boxes' reapers and a wingless reikenor as a boss. I want one hand holding the reins of the horse. I will change the horses leg so they all look different. I could be looking at the black coach horses as well if I want to expend the unit size.
  9. super nice colors. The snow was a very good call. My favorit is the giant color scheme : I feel the light blue is not necessary for this army, the kaki and yellow are enough and a very unusual and elegant palette. Well done sir !!
  10. I love the pink. You could go for more contrast on the robe (but maybe it's just the photo). I would buy Army Painter Quickshade strong tone and do some diping. So much faster for hordes, perfect for Nurgle greenish and brownish tone. And you could get a super professional finish after some trying.
  11. a very very nice NH recap : https://war-of-sigmar.herokuapp.com/bloggings/3107
  12. I was playing with the updated Warscroll Builder and fun fact : if you take your 3 Arkanaut companies and 1x everything else (except Brokk), you reach exactly 2000 points (the 3 different boats, 4 characters and the 3 elites units). Coincidence ?? Now I know why the increase the skywarden to 120
  13. I didn't like the evocators, nor was convinced by the character on Dracoline, but those look very nice and dynamic, will seat nice close to my palladors…
  14. nice base and iridescent/shiny effect n the blue scale of the king beast, well done !!
  15. the 360 view and the scenic view of Lady Olynder make her more appealing to me... But you better not like sturdy model... https://www.games-workshop.com/en-NZ/Nighthaunt-Lady-Olynder-2018
  16. they really want us to use their new technical paint
  17. if you want gradiant and paint a lot of NH (or vehicles) definitely yes, but airbrushing is not magical (and flat surface where you have to do gradiant not so common). You will loose time cleaning, it's noisy, not so cheap... Some people, even pro painter don't like it and will find it easier and faster to pick a brush 95% of the time... Maybe you can find a hobbyist around you to make you demo ? By the way I am curious to know how much GW painter use them. On Warhammer TV they don't want to scare beginner, yet for their vehicle they sure do it. But for their pretty characters like Eidolon etc ?
  18. I love "shadespire" bases, but Astreia one, is way to massive, the part on top of the statue head make the mini look worst in my book. I am not fan of the Dracoline design, but the rest of the mini is nothing special I don't like the new SC wizards masks/helmet, I hope there will be an alternative head, with a pretty face with crazy flying hair in the kit. Sanofi-Aventis helmet is ok for my taste
  19. I would say in term of painting time/model it's maybe the fastest army to paint tabletop quality, few details, shade and technical paint to fasten the process. Then if you make it super hordy or want to get the best of the super detailed character, it's an other story...
  20. you could try wet blending with some retarder. It's efficient and rather fun. Zenital spraying of white on a darker sprayed base color work wonder as well. You could just glazed it once then.
  21. Have you seen the store anniversary version ? If you have a GW store nearby (or some money for Ebay) ou should try to pick him https://war-of-sigmar.herokuapp.com/bloggings/3036
  22. I hope she will be cheaper, I feel she is much smaller than the other Mortarch. I would say much closer in size to the very cool 32,5 euro ID king... And who else wish the super cool statue on the Pegasus base was a proper model... So much cooler than a clear plastic stick...
  23. Kudos to Kurdoss for his "sceptre". He is a king ala Conan, more barbarian than regal... who tricked his Game Master to let him carry around his 2 handed 100 kg sledge hammer as his symbol of (ruthless) power : "this little thing ? a weapon ? naaaah don't worry, it's just my sceptre"
