Like the scheme but think the red cross on the white needs tightening up
That's temporary, I'm going to end up painting over it

Beautiful work on the book!

Lovely army, those wooden shields are ace!

Remember to always remember the scenario! Haha I know it's hard to sometimes, and it's great to just have fun. If you have your eye on the prize though, building your list towards winning scenarios and keeping track of that will get you from the middle of the pack to the top tables.
Tournaments are fun, everyone go!

Good on you! I think we all hit those hobby hurdles, and sometimes it can stop us in our tracks.
Keep up the great work!

Great read, and something I'm working on locally as well. It sound like a very, very familiar story My end goal is to create a gaming group that encompasses New England, where we can hold and support each others events while upholding the social contract of being a good sport because win or lose everyone wants to have a good game.

So many I could do!
I've wanted to recreate the Realm of Beasts for my Ironjawz, some crazy underground pier/factory for my Skaven, and I'm also mulling over an Ork 'Counts As' Genestealers, which would be lots of city/inside terrain with flickering lights and stuff and the Kommandoz sneaking around.

I've been wanting to do this for years myself, it would be nice to get it done!

It's great having your own space! I was lucky to be able to design my own office in my basement (completely redone). I work from home, so it was important to me to try and separate my work, hobby and music spaces. As well as have room for my library of Nerdom

I have the same one it rules!

It's kinda simple: a piece of cork, textured paint and Agrellan Earth

My brother in law had shingles and said the same, yikes!

I hope your arm heals up and we see you back around here soon!

This looks like it was great fun! I'd love to see @Holy Hammer Hern Skaven with my own eyes. I saw some pics in the twitter feed for this, and man they were amazing as were the other armies for this event. So motivated for another Year of the Rat!

It's funny because it's apparent, but I can't help thinking 'awww poor Tom' haha

Sam I've already read it and proposed it to my gaming group, great job!

Awesome, glad to hear you made it ok...and you brought all your stuff with you? Looks like you had more hobby stuff than anything!
Lioks like you learned some lessons in the last 2 events, congrats on placing!

Really nice basing, I've been contemplating the move from cork to bark myself...though I think I did a decent job of 'hiding' the fact I use cork with my Megawarboss and Mawkrusha.

That's the tough part about the Wobble, you don't get that sense of accomplishment. I've found 2 ways to combat this:
1. Nose to the grindstone. I know, I know, it's supposed to be hobby time. I want that sense of accomplishment though, to be able to show up to a game with a fully converted and painted army. So, instead of getting distracted I tell myself I'll do something simple. I'll just drill barrels, or a quick base coat, or paint eyes...and next thing I know I've worked on my project for hours, got stuff done...and still enjoyed it!
2. 2 projects. Work on two different projects at the same time, then you can swap back and forth. That breaks up some of the monotony.
I've got a big 6 months planned ahead. I'm going to finish a 2k Ironjawz army by October 15th, and I'm going to start 2 more FULLY converted armies that I'm going to work on at the same time. I'm also going to try and work on these all from what I have, Budget of Sigmar!

This is also something I've been meaning to do, thanks!

@Mayple The answer to the Mawkrusha vs Onion is intermingling your layers to form a net. Destructive Bulk has you pick a unit to deal Mortal Wounds to, so if you've threaded your units together it won't have a choice but to hit multiple models from different units with it's base but can only allocate Mortal Wounds to one unit, hence you've locked it up. I use this with my Arkanaut Company, so they can in turn shoot things off the board that get caught in my net (I call it a net, but I like Onion too)
This is also a great answer to denying your opponent the double turn of getting through your net and hitting the unit you don't want in combat.
