  1. Would y’all say that the symbol on the right is idoneth? I’m asking as it’s the same shade of blue as the lumineth symbol.
  2. I’m under the impression it’s in Vasillics defensive ability to negate wounds on a 4+. You’re probably right in that they will function similar to chaos rune shields.
  3. So these Bladelords arnt the spiritual inheritors of the swordmasters focus on being magic elf shaolin monks that live in an ivory mage tower? as an aside I really miss when eltharion was a blind swordmaster. The short story they had in the 6th edition army book. It really made me feel for the guy.
  4. The slaangors seem like they are going to be like the tzaangor enlightened. Suppose they wanted a 3 wound infantry to go along with blightkings and skullreapers. I hope they give the Sybarites a full kit with both weapon options here, that’s what they really need. The universal rend is nice and fits with all the other slaanesh units profiles I can think of.
  5. I have seen the eldritch council mentioned in some black library stories but I’m not sure if they are still in the cities of sigmar.
  6. So the Vanari are kind of like elder guardians in that they have walked the path of one of the elemental disciplines?
  7. I know it is a bit of a stretch but hear me out. I think the swordmasters are going to be making a comeback as a temple of warriors who have mastered different elements. I assume they are going to be based around some kind of white tower type place, perhaps the tower that teclis built to buffer the necroquake. I make all these assumptions based on the new underworlds character Ailenn and several of the cards they have previewed on Warhammer Community today. I think this would be really cool to see a new take on swordmasters as the jack of all trades master of none role in the faction. I know underworlds isn’t always something you can base many future units off of but the way they presented the Slanneshi band’s characters as a preview of what is to come I felt this would be a safe assumption. I took some screenshots of the community page I am talking about just so you can see what I am talking about here as well as a link to the wiki page about swordmasters for those who are unfamiliar. Let me know what you think. https://whfb.lexicanum.com/wiki/Swordmaster
  8. I think the everchosen are the only ones to ever have more than one mark of chaos and earning them was part of their path to glory. I remember archaon gained the favor of tzeentch by getting the eye of sheerin and khorne by defeating the bloodthirster in the shadow pit place for the crown or whatever but I can’t remember all the details. Does anyone remember the details about how he accomplished each one or how any of the other everchosen ascended to primacy?
  9. It gives a good perspective of the liege-kavalos in some parts. I also felt kind bad for the people of that city at the end all cause of one person’s guilt.
  10. I once wanted to get those back in 2016 but decided on old metal black orcs instead. I regret doing so sometimes lol. that’s a good sized skaven army you got started they were my first army way back when so I know how much a pain the tails on those oop clan rats can be. In a 9k point collection I only ever had 250 of them. I can’t wait to see how big it gets .
  11. Love the sisters of sigmar on the lower shelf
  12. I really don’t see them separating daemons and mortals in any of the chaos armies. From the beginning of age of sigmar it has been a separation based on the god rather than the old 7th edition fantasy division of daemons/warriors/beasts. I would go so far as to speculate they will use the disciples of tzeentch as a kind of template going forward with daemons and mortals together with the god specific beast men. I would love for the khorngors and pestigors to come back!
  13. I’d say either the hoplite helmets from the hellstrider set or the other ones from the myrmidon guys from the same box.
  14. I agree the faces are definitely not the best . Good thing is you can put the heads from the myrmidon guys on them much like the skull reaper/wrathmonger kit.
  15. Does anyone else think that Sigvald is going to be a daemon prince. Based on the skeletons on his base he is definitely in that size range.
  16. That would be the blurry background of the images posted earlier in this thread in correlation with the direchasm slaanesh war band. As well as this bit from the preview insinuating that these were only a small part of the things to come.
  17. I doubt they will split it between mortals and daemons. The hedonites line is pretty small once you think about it with only one infantry squad. If they do release a squad of genie-pants marauders, the dual kit they showed and hopefully some slaangors that would put them up there as the same number of units as khorne or tzeentch. plus one of the units they previewed are like skulltakers in that they are partially daemonic, though those faces are kind or horrendously terrifying. Seriously where’s the nose going there.
  18. This just goes to show GW has been listening to what peoples complaints about their products what with new mortals being revealed. An aside does anyone else feel like there is going to be a bigger range of releases based on the wording at the end of the community post. I’m curious to see where they go with the newborn from broken realms. Hopefully it’s something like they did with Katakros and Lethis, but who knows. I really hope it’s not just Sigvald but some new daemon model that is on par with the other god models they have.
  19. Neferata is the soulblight mortarch which is fitting since she developed the elixir of life based on nagashs black book. Some kind of fleshshaper type faction based around zombies would be cool. I always think of the zombie death lord from Soul Wars and wish there were more cool stuff like her.
  20. I would say the hunters with bows would be good in loving city as they can fire and move with the command ability. their envoys ability also helps when you use command abilities off a branch wraith or whatever that’s on the other side of the board. sisters of the thorn and the watch both have decent shooting and fit in thematically with the lore as do crossbow men and spear men from the old empire collection. Irondrakes are a unit I have looked at with them before as they have decent shooting with a good range.
  21. Mayhaps the fourth times the charm for Nagash. Atleast he’s got a giant death magic funnel this time.
  22. Something tells me if he got close some skaven would mess it up for him.
