  1. the age of sigmar setting exists to sell bundles of models. The warhammer fantasy setting was a rpg game at first then the wargame came later. That's why it feels deeper- it is. That's why age of sigmar feels shallow- it is. Selling better means they have slammed out new armies over and over with the promise of later development that isn't followed up (unless you have pointed ears or golden armor).

As for the age thing, Warhammer fantasy had the enemy within rpg campaign at this relative time, and aos has soulbound, which appeals only to the ingroup.

Urgh! Leaks are fun but as it’s preview day I was hoping nothing gets spoilt! I was going to watch later along with Moon Knight. Best keep off social media from now then

    Horus kills the emperor!

    Skaven blow up the moon!

    Morathi gets away with it!

Um, yes, they are. And at the spanish shop.

But then, if they're being discontinued, GW would have put them out of order, like Underworlds warbands or the Mutilator (that has disappeared from CSM codex according to the leaks)

What exactly do you mean by discontinued? I don't really understand what you're saying anymore

(and let's remember that nowadays they're discontinued on GW's shop. And I don't think GW will stop producing them having in mind that Eshin only has literally two units)

no they aren't, they're still available in the us shop at least

If someone is wondering why this configuration for the battlebox: is just all the Eshin units. A deathmaster, the runners, and the Eshin Verminlord I presume

Btw don't you notice there's something missing? We haven't had the Rumour Engine! (yet)

    Uh?

Gutter runners are not there, and they're metal. Not the it's the first time gw has passed a metal model up

I'm super confused. How did the seventh battletome from now get leaked? We still don't even know any of the rules from the Nighthaunt book.

I don't think I've ever seen a leak that skips so far ahead in time before.

40k has had leaks that stretched for almost a year

I don't play Skaven, are they any good as a unit? Id say repacking is better than being discontinued. Personally I like lots of options for units in an army range.

They used to be before getting target nerfed five times in a row

That way you can for example analyze JK Rowling's texts for what they are worth without having to take all the nonsense into account she tried to add to the texts retrospectively.

what you don't like wizards teleporting poop instead of using toilets?

Nowadays the BHR has diferent facets, and each clan venerates one. What if the form of creating new skaven varies depending on that clan? Moulder skaven being born from eggs. Verminous skaven evolving from rats chosen by BHR demons. Pestilens rats appearing at toxic wells. Eshin skaven are in fact dead skaven corpses being resurrected by ancient spirits again and again.

that seems markedly less horrifying than the twisted-ant-queen iteration that exists in the current lore.

That's an interpretation, but since there aren't armies that are basically small variations of single gender negroid, indian, east asian, mongolian, native American or aboriginal armies in Warhammer, while the caucasian male template is used for all space marines... GW certainly has a type. .

I think that a British company making their fictional armies based off the ones they know of from history they've learned (nearly entirely white men) is not really anything to put down.

It may even be preferable than for gw to make a completely non western army... It would be really difficult to make it not just seem like a stereotype of the people its supposed to represent

Eff me, I forget about the Globadiers and Warpfire Thrower. Now that Eldar Warlocks have finally been retired (😢) I think they're probably GW's longest serving minis!

acolytes are 93, warpfire thrower should be 95 or 96 if memory serves
