  1. I get what you're saying, but (as far as I read it) you must use the faction specific Allegiance and abilities if your army would be applicable to do so. If I took only STORMCAST ETERNAL units (except Allies), I would have to pick Stormcast as the Allegiance as it exists as it's own faction Allegiance.
  2. I’ve screenshotted the errata for reference. That’s how I read it as per the last sentence there.
  3. I noticed something interesting in the most recent FAQ for the General’s Handbook; If you pick an allegience with existing allegience abilities (Stormcast for example) then you cannot choose to use the Grand Alliance abilities instead of that faction’s bespoke abilities. For Free City armies this means you can’t just use a pure Stormcast army and pick Order allegience to benefit from a Free City. Makes sense I suppose, as the Free Cities are supposed to represent a cross section of different Order factions coming together.
  4. One of the Endless spells from Malign Sorcery. Well, technically there's two as they come in a pair!
  5. I’ve drawn up this rough 750 point list based on models I already own (everything except the Medusa); Allegiance: DoK Temple: Khailebron Realm: Ulgu Bloodwrack Medusa (general) Hag Queen 20 x Witch Aelves (paired knifes) - Battleline 5 x Blood Sisters - Battleline (as Medusa is general) 5 x Doomfire Warlocks ...that leaves me with 50pts spare for one of the following; 1) Prismatic Palisade + Quicksilver Swords 2) Gemenids of Ulh-Ghysh 3) Extra Command Point 4) Swap out Hag Queen for allied Darkling Covens Sorceress Any thoughts?
  6. I got 13 Objective sleeves with mine as well, even though the back of the pack says only 12 are included. Quite amusing!
  7. Skaven are the warband I've been most looking forward to, so I'm super pumped for their release! I look forward to giving them a go in-game, their resummoning mechanic sounds like great fun.
  8. I'd love to know what paints you used for that turquoise armour (and that green you used to tint that shoulder pad horn)!
  9. I think a nice deep crimson would be good as a spot colour - eyes, claw markings, sore and tender flesh around the stitching...
  10. I'm waiting for this month's adventure in White Dwarf, "Scour the Verminlair" which has to been Skaven-centric! SInce Skaven are the bulk of my (small) painted AoS collection, I look forward to seeing how this one works out with the recent Skaven additions with the Chaos Adversary cards. I know if I ever gave writing a dungeon a go, it would probably be Skaven-themed!
  11. It's a fold-out article, the Freeguild General and Gunsmith on the outside pages, and inside is the GM-only parts (dungeon map / adventure and expanded Cinderfall activities, including the Guild of Blades where you can hire Mercenaries ). Mercenraries are pretty much Companions but with a few extra rules.
  12. Blood Bowl and WHQ, according to the GW site. I'd love to know what those are as well!
  13. From the GW site; "December’s White Dwarf is here and to help celebrate the season it comes complete with a gift – exclusive game cards for Blood Bowl, Shadespire and Warhammer Quest! It’s also a gaming special, packed with a whopping four Battle Reports, new rules for Genestealer Cults in Space Hulk, the first part of a series of new adventures for Warhammer Quest and much, much more – the perfect way to celebrate every aspect of the hobby this Christmas." So this isn't one-off coverage for WHQ it seems! The cards are split across Blood Bowl, Shadespire and WHQ - which is good for me as I own all three!
  14. I only pick up WD if it has new content for any of the boxed games I own - especially WHQ. Getting cards as well is the icing on the cake! I wonder if they are sized like the Hero cards or the larger Adversary ones!
  15. I'm happy for the AoS fans that are looking forward to 40K getting a similar treatment (easier and more flexible to get into.) I'm also looking forward to the thread getting back on topic, when we hopefully see something new and non-40K to discuss soon.
  16. I imagine the more specialised mini-factions will be chucked together in one book each - Beastclaw Raiders and Gutbusters, Pestilens with the other major Clans etc.
  17. Revenant Legions would be a great name to cover a number of the smaller Death factions under one Battletome!
  18. Specifies the Ancient Spear too! Guess the box is just specifying what each of the options looks like.
  19. Unlike many, I quite like how long and free-flowing their tails are. I'd love to see revamped Night Runners in a similar fashion. I'd also do gorilla yhibgs to get revamped Plague Monks too, but that's a different discussion entirely! On another note, I'm intrigued by these recent GH2 mumblings!
  20. The Deathrunner is one of my favourite parts of modern-era Warhammer Quest, so I'd be over the moon if the Clans Eshin got a proper update!
  21. If by GW adding an extra keyword or two to a Warscroll makes people want to rush out and buy an older box of miniatures, well thats just smart business!
  22. If GW will continue to update the other MONSTERS OF CHAOS with god-specific keywords, here's what I'd suggest; Centigors, Razorgors - BRAYHERDS Warhounds - SLAVES TO DARKNESS, BRAYHERDS Harpies - BRAYHERDS, SLAANESH Jabberslythe - BRAYHERDS and perhaps NURGLE? (as suggested above) Chimera - SLAVES TO DARKNESS Cockatrice - SLAVES TO DARKNESS, BRAYHERDS? and of course... Gargants - SLAVES TO DARKNESS, BRAYHERDS, WARHERDS, KHORNE, NURGLE, TZEENTCH, SLAANESH
