Hey everyone
Just skimmed through the last couple of pages to see what the current "meta" is like. I have just one question for you all: Is a no-ship list still viable? I know they are a huge part of KOs appeal, but I really love the little guys, flying or not.
Well Im firmly in the "New can be good or bad" camp! I think my perception of Mordheim is heavily influenced by nostalgia. A few years ago I was considering starting a new campaign and the amout of homebrewing needed to balance the warbands was staggering!
What I think Mordheim did really well and what one can hope for Warcry is setting. Mordheim is still to this day my favorite setting. The small stories from the rulebook and magazines did an increadible job of pulling you in. Its a feeling the newer stuff hasnt given me yet.
Im dying for news on Warcry, but I guess that's a compliment to GWs hype machine. I was never completely sold on Skirmish poor balance and I cant get my group to play Shadespire.
But Im happy on behalf of the 40K Chaos players. I can remember putting those basic Chaos marines together back in my early teen years, so that kit must be old by now!
So to catch up... That troll we saw ages ago with all the fungi, will they actually release that model or? Is it part of the famed "moonclan release"? Do we have any info on this?
There have been vague rumors that if Killteam did well then AoS would get the same treatment. Now Killteam HAS been a big succes, so there is hope. From a buisness point for view it makes sense to have a gateway-drug for AoS, so I dont find this rumor unlikely. I would love to see an update since the balance is so poor in Skirmsh
Played my frist match with orcs today. Man are they though to kill! The expression on my opponents face when he realised i had 17 wounds on four guys. Damage wise I feel they are hit and miss. Ironskull and Bonekutter (inspired) are extremely deadly and will realibly kill anything they can get their hands on. Hacka and Smasha on the other hand... What are they there for? ONE damage and even when they get inspired it feels like too little to late. My opponent read them easily and just didnt attack them leaving almost useless. The objective cards are gold though. Manage to score 8 glory in round threes end phase all be charging into my opponents board and keeping him out (not too hard I feel especialy for 8 glory).
All in all I love them. I always like "reliable" lists and the Orcs fits the bill.
