    Just wanted to say you have some awesome terrain up in the gallery! I've got a fair few semi painted fantasy pieces sitting around, but none of them have basing the way you have done it and I was hoping you could give me a few suggestions about where to start. Makes them great looking and useful for AoS. Do you use mdf? Do you Sand, paint then drybrush? Sorry to bug you

      Thanks very much. No problem Jamie!

      I use 5mm foamcore card for all my basing. It isn't as tough as MDF but it's much easier to work with and much lighter.

      Yes - sand, paint and then drybrush:

      I use Steel Legion Drab base with a few very light drybrush layers of Ushabti Bone. I sometimes add small areas of Agrellan Earth (cracked effect) but I do that before the Steel Legion (wait a day or more, until it's completely dry!).
