It's official guys! We can expect our new battletome around April. It has the same art on the cover... even if I like it, hope it's temporary.

A lot to digest... some initial impressions: - Scriptor Mortis: Impressive mini, at first I thought it was a ghost-lady until I saw the trailer and heard that voice. It looks that it has some kind of mortal wounds delivery system and debuffs. Not looking like a mage sadly, but so full of details... great character. - Craventhrone Guard: That was totally unexpected, a new NH unit and ranged to boost! I'm really interested with this unit, really hopes it's good. It seems they'll likely ignore cover or armor as per their description. Really needed and a welcome surprise (Kurdoss' subfaction with them as battleline?). I'm cautiosly optimistic about the rewrite of the warscrolls of the old units included in the box, but a little scared at the same time. They'll probably "nerf" Spirit Torment and Bladegheists, but it's easy to "buff" Myrmourns and Chainghasts. Hope we get Idonethed and not Fyreslayered. They also said "Preorder Now", so maybe we don't need to wait too much for them (preorder this Sunday, reveals next week, warscrolls next Saturday?). Book is coming fellow Knight of Shrouds, and I hope it ends like a good but not oppresive or NPE book. PS: I'm betting Nagash ironic fair punishment on Craventhrone Guard is that they were an elite melee unit and now they can only fight from afar.

Absurd question, if I put a Midnight Tome on a non-caster hero, would he know 1 or 2 spells from the Lore of the Underworlds? The wording is different of that of the Arcane Tome, implying that you get Lore of the Underworlds spell directly from the Midnight Tome (+ Arcane Bolt and Mystic Shield) and another one for the free spell enhancement that everyone gets when you build the army for being a NIGHTHAUNT WIZARD. Unless FAQ'ed, or mistaken, RAW we can have 2 Lore of the Underworlds spells on a non-wizard hero, am I right?

An update for the old WH: AoS app has just popped on my phone... It says "bug fixes" but I'm scared of updating it and losing all the warscrolls. Have some brave soul updated it? 😆

Sadly, I have not yet been able to play a 3.0 game, but after learning the rules and theorycrafting some lists, I cannot make my mind about: - REINFORCEMENTS: What are you people using your reinforcements on? I'm doubting between: - 2 on Chainrasps (30 chainrasp unit), 1 on Grimghast (20 Grimghasts unit), 1 on Spirit Hosts (6 Spirit Hosts unit). - 1 on Chainrasps (20 chainrasp unit), 2 on Grimghast (30 Grimghasts unit), 1 on Spirit Hosts (6 Spirit Hosts unit). - 2 on Chainrasps (30 chainrasp unit), 2 on Grimghast (30 Grimghasts unit), 0 on Spirit Hosts. Initially, I discarded using reinforcements on Spirit Hosts (new coherency rule, need big blobs of Chainrasp and Grimghast), but they're our only MW dealer and are somewhat "tanky". On the other side, I fear that 20 Grimghast are not enough nowadays, and 30 are better for absorbing some losings and Rally. But I don't feel "safe" without a 30 Chainrasp blob for objetive holding, 20 chainrasps will evaporate easily probably. Can't decide, so I'm open for opinions and experiences about reinforcements and unit sizes. - GRAND STRATEGY: Looks like peope are very fond on Predator's Domain here, but I think that Hold the Line may be easier. Can somebody explain me why chosing Predator's Domain instead? What's your pick?

After a lot of fighting with the forum, many 504 ERROR messages and almost giving up, here it is: The Final Edit. I have added the last story (DIG DEEP) and fixed a few formatting errors. Now, onto Broken Realms, that has had a spectacular start with great stories and and huge and cool lore advancing.

It took longer than expected, after some fighting with the forum, but finally I got it: all Malign Portents stories, included the White Dwarf prelude one. Personally, these are some of the greatest lore pieces in AoS until date, so flavourful and with varied protagonists, hoping Broken Realms new arch and stories pick up the baton (first one was really good!). Finally, dunno if this is the correct subforum, if a mod needs to move the thread, feel free to do it.
