  1. Knight Heraldor built and undercoated. Wondering what it will be next: Build and paint liberator kit? Paint 4 push fit liberators? Build and paint retributor kit (and therefore decide what they'll be finally)?
  2. After doing these and the stardrake I realise I need to do a lot of work on my subassemblies. The troubles I have gluing them or pinning them after they're painted can be a bit much!
  3. Done with this unit now (photo carpet bomb inc). 2 models taking as much time as maybe, I dunno, 10-20 at my normal pace.
  4. Uh oh. Back to awkward methods of attaining the model. OR not bothering at all.
  5. More SC heroes! I also read that its not 100% exclusive to Warhammer world, just available there first. Wonder if it'll be a store only limited edition release after or just a regular clampack?
  6. So is it a liberator prime with grandblade weapon? The halo is something you only see on lord celestants (or paladins?) though. Is it a new kind of equipment for Lord Celestant on foot? 2 handed? I am, I am afraid, quite obsessed with warscrollery here. These kinds of models usually come with their own rules after all!
  7. Calling the first finished (a few tweaks made)
  8. Thanks I'm stepping back and focusing on the basics for the remaining stormcast. For the next project I'll be looking at learning a bit more about colour selection (I mostly copy box art which I'd like to move away from) and learning how to work with glazes properly I think.
  9. So I'm a slow painter by and large. I need to learn speedy tricks. I'm not going to post what I've painted to date (I'll include one pic I put in the display army thread elsewhere) but things I'm currently working on. The past two and a half weeks my evening hour or two has been spent on 2 concussors. These guys are quite the challenge to paint! In effect it's another LCoD from the starter set with a few more details. The first one is 99% complete and here he (or she) is! The 2nd concussor is maybe 70% complete and is next up. After that I've got 5 x paladins to build and paint, 5 x liberators to build and paint and then 4 x liberators to paint. After that, well I'm thinking of a style and faction change. Plus I've got Silver Tower to paint. We'll see! There's months of work ahead.
  10. I don't find this illogical at all. Makes sense. But jumble it all up abit because logic is going to come behind logistics for a company.
  11. I would prefer this for 40k. I like AoS's angle now (super high fantasy) but I wasn't so invested in WHFB lore and I can understand how a world is harder to add things to without it feeling mega cluttered (though that's not the only reason as we know). 40k feels like it's just got so much. It's a universe! I want to see the emperor on the run in a mobile giant arc golden throne ship with marines and surviving humanity in tow. Let's add battlestar galactica to the IP soup that makes 40k so interesting. Or they can go more Dune-like. I'll never say no to more Dune. Rules wise, a guy in the 40k subreddit just informed me the rules are perfect (well, robust). I've not played since a very early edition but it all seems a bit obtuse and overbearing. Am I wrong?
  12. Would they sneak in an AoS sized rule reconstruction in an edition? OR will they perhaps build to their own 'end times'. I actually saw a post about the end times in the 40k subreddit and thought I'd don my fire gear and post something https://www.reddit.com/r/Warhammer40k/comments/4vrhde/are_we_going_to_have_a_40k_end_times_as_well/d60vqbn What interests me is that they don't need to take such drastic lore measures with 40k (a whole universe has more potential than the old world) to shake it up. It'd be more the rules that they would upend. Edit/ I was going to paste the text here but left the link as I figure this is for rumours not 40k end time speculation.
  13. They look like two subfactions within Sylvaneth and bonesplitterz respectively?
  14. I agree. Unless it's placeholder concept art on an internal mock-up for the box it is indeed almost definitely a fake.
  15. Read elsewhere it's page 87 in All Gates - anyone got that to confirm?
  16. I'd say that it's down to it being an internal promo image. Mock up of a physical box? Could ofc also be indication of a bad shop.
