  1. Honestly I read about it on another forum, perhaps that's what they were doing and I misunderstood? It seemed popular, I think they called it the 'Rat Trap.' I'm still quite new and haven't been able to play any games due to the current crisis, entirely possible I misread it all. ::Edit:: Looking at it again I think that's what they meant. Stick Khemist in Gunhauler with compartments, use 'Always a Breeze' combined with auto 6 run, use the bottle. Sorry, still learning all the rules.
  2. Would you say the Spell in a Bottle is useful in most lists? I've read a few uses that sound incredibly nasty, like the Zilfin move in hero phase to fly high and drop a Warp Lightning Vortex. I'm sure there are others but I don't know Endless Spells too well.
  3. Do Thundrik and company count as one or two drops? I'm trying to find it in my rulebook but I think I'm missing it. I didn't realize you could put the Profiteers in a boat separate from him. Interesting fellow that Thundrik.
  4. How many fumigators are you putting in the Thunderers? I'm not sure how many it takes to cover a 15 man squad with their aura but I like the theme.
  5. Thank you. Mostly I'd like to just run things I like, I just want to know what I'm jumping into. I know there's some debate about Ironclads and Thunderers, for example, but I love both and will try to use them regardless. I'm less concerned about having fewer drops than my opponent since there are so many single drop armies in my meta. Actually I've considered not even taking a battalion at all, but I do particularly like the bonuses of the Escort Wing and Iron Sky Command, as well as the bonus relics and Endrinworks.
  6. Thanks everyone. I was considering the Grundstok Escort Wing, and if I run Zilfin I'll have Endrinworks for all three boats. I don't know, still debating which skyport I like best and will probably give several a test run.
  7. How does everyone feel about Gunhaulers, are they worth it? I will hopefully magnetize the gun but was curious if anyone used Drill Cannons on them, they seem less flexible than the standard cannon. Also what Endrinworks do you like best on haulers? Coalbeard's Collapsible Compartments seems like a really useful one, but if I run two and have the space I'm not sure how the others stack up.
  8. Appreciate the disclaimer but you have more experience than me, Admiral. As I sit building my Aether War box I can't help but browse around for ideas on what to try in a list.
  9. Would you give the Riggers any special weapons in this example or leave them standard? It's not something I had considered before.
  10. A fellow newbie with a question. I'm looking for some advice on how to use Arkanauts. They're.....weird compared to other battleline I've used in armies. Do they need or want a transport and are they useful fighting inside a ship, can I just run them on foot? I understand they're our cheap source of bodies, I guess the pistols throw me off a bit.

  12. I'm returning to AOS after a long absence and picking up Kharadron. I have the Aether War set and was curious how useful the repair ability on Endrinriggers is? I haven't picked a Skyport yet but I'd like to build around the Grundstok Escort Wing. I want to make my balloon guys shooty, I just can't decide if I want Wardens for the battalion and drop bonus or Riggers for the repair. Planning to go with an Ironclad.
