  1. Bloody hell, I haven`t noticed the response!!! Shame upon me! Well...now, I`m not going to any tournaments, but if you`re frequenting Nottingham regularily and if I have the german citizenship before the Brexit, I might make weekendtrip possible. Haven`t been to Warhammerworld ever, so that sound like a plan. Maybe I`d even take a short holiday, for a couple of days, so more than a game of different games is possible. Or even a minicampaign? But then the old Skirmish rules - the campaign feels kind of crisp played in a sequence (or just use the old scenarios with current rules). I also have to get my Blood Bowl team ready then...I always wanted to play in one of those fancy stadiums in Warhammerworld.
  2. Had the same thought, I still have plenty of minis on my table, but the minis are simply great! Just carved the moldlines off the darkoath champ yesterday. The look is so 80`s high fantasy Conan esque...I really hope they keep this look, as it makes the AoS world kind of easier to grip. By the way, a friend of mine has taken a look at what`s in the organised play box. Not sure if this is actually news, but I`ve seen it the first time, so if you haven`t seen it yet too, you can take a look here: https://www.chaosbunker.de/en/2018/11/06/warhammer-underworlds-organised-play-2018/
  3. I`m not exactly sure what you`re saying....like those guys aren`t so much on roids they shouldn`t be actually able to reach over to their own shoulder on the other side? Huhm....I see some more proportional discrepancy on other miniatures in AoS It`s a matter of personal taste, I know. The warqueen though looks a lot better than on the artwork. Somehow it looks a bit more comicbook like, which is an art style that fits the range as a whole.
  4. Man, the barbarians look friggin' awsome! I need to practice how to paint human skin...
  5. Honestly, I`m going to get this pack mainly for the Squig and the herder. Make the Squigs a pack of ten. They`ll sell like hot cake.
  6. Means we`ll be waiting forever for that Darkoath warband....grmbl...
  7. @Still-young that, I really didn`t have in mind anymore. Thanks ?
  8. Could be the part of an engine, the tail of a demon, or some bones. I actually don`t see anything here pointing towards Orruks. EDIT: ...the top parts reflect like they were painted in metal colors. Pretty sure it`s some device, not bones.
  9. I live in Germany, in a small town called Ingelheim. It is the area with the lowest rainy days in the year in Germany Don`t have a problem with travelling myself either. It just needs to be planned quite a while in advance, as I am not an EU citizen. Other than that, if you`d like to see me here, we have a guest room.
  10. Very nice Lysandestolpe! If I ever get a chance, I want to skirmish against your force.
  11. As we are quite liberal on our page, we have the advantage to be able to say and write what we like, without the neccessity of desperate advertisement. The quality of the articles though is dependend on the feedback we get. So yeah, we want people to read the article and feedback that we feel makes us better. So, what exactly feels salty? Without a description of what disturbs you, we aren`t exactly able to extract information that helps us to improve. The way I see it, we had quite a rational approach about our personal experience in Duesseldorf.
  12. Well this isn`t exactly a rumour, we`ve been to the Warhammer fest in Düsseldorf and summed it up - so far for AoS the news were a new endless spell and the next setting for Warhammer Underworlds. If you want to take a look, you can do it here - all critics are as usual welcome. https://www.chaosbunker.de/en/2018/08/19/warhammer-fest-europe-2018-part-1/ https://www.chaosbunker.de/en/2018/08/20/warhammer-fest-europe-2018-part-2/
  13. Hi guys, as I really liked the initital full points list by Rafal, I thought I`d give a bit of appreciation back - the tga-community and the full points list have been mentioned and linked in the latest reviewe from Chaosbunker.com: AOS SKIRMISH REVIEW This is of course a bit of commercialising, but it would still be nice if you could leave us a comment or any kind of feedback via the Bunker's commentary function, as we always thrive to make high quality articles and want to get as good as possible.
  14. @Chris Tomlin that`s why people love me Don`t stop yourself. I´m pretty much the same way and I`m slowly starting to see more and more models to a finished army. I told myself THIS TIME YOU`LL PAINT THAT STUFF TO THE BITTER END! and I`m really happy with it so far. At least ONE ARMY that will look good on the table AND in my showcase.
  15. Of course absolutely worth it, because it`s inspirational! Now some meaningful duels could be snapshot in a close up next time By the way... ...they do look good. It is actually the method I use myself to tell if I am satisfied with my paintjob or not, always thriving to find the middle between detailed view and gametable view.
  16. You should make some pictures too. I like the way you`re summarizing the games, but a bit of eye candy is still neccessary
  17. Blimey, I didn`t see those! And that although I just swiped through the thread a couple of days ago. I really like the conversion....a great excuse to buy some 40K Grot stuff too... What`s "SCGT" and "MP"? Sorry to ask, but I`m not a native speaker and people here use so many shortages that I cannot follow.
  18. Three lobbers? That sounds....cunningly brutal. Gorkamorka approves! What do they look like? With the advanced timeline it`s inviting to have some monsters throw stones. There is this one Troll whi is holding a rock above his head already anyway...with a Greenskin to point him into the right direction....aaaargh.....dammit....now I might have to do that myself....
  19. No idea how I could have mist this thread for so long. the stuff here is ace!!!
  20. "Wut? DID ANYUN SAY SCRAP? IT`S ALWAYS TIME FOR A SCRAP!...only da Redfists are kind of weird when it comes to dat....they know how to bash, I`ll give 'em dat, but it`s all strange wid der strah-teh-gee thing der doin`..." Back to the actual topic, all those rumour snippets with the small pictures seem to be mainly from 40K. After the Idoneth I am actually expecting like one or two smaller releases and then nothing for a while. It`ll be all super dark gothic stuff in the next time, I believe (though I wouldn`t mind being wrong ). AoS is a bit more colorful and therefore might sell better pre-Christmas. From a salespoint of perspective that simply works better for triggering sales, isn`t it? GW has been producing more boxed games lately and pushes stronger into regular store chains. It does make sense to adjust the business strategy a bit to that.
  21. Wheeeee Andy, finally back with some Stormcats I always liked the scheme and your painting has improved greatly over time. I`d still suggest to add some even stronger highlights on some spots, to make the shape of the minis pop even more. The head of the Gryphhound shows this pretty nicely. Good to see you here again - keep ' em coming!
  22. Nice little project, glad I`ve found it For the banner: I think a glyph would look better. The maze looks good on the beastmen, but you want to seperate them visually from the banner. As for motivation of painting them...I have been collecting Orcs and Goblins back in the days when I was still playing WHFB. I quit that after a while, as it were way to many models and after painting hordes and hordes of models, I`ve never been satisfied, as I was trying "to get it done". My suggestion: don`t rush yourself. At the moment I`m building up an Ironjawz army and play a lot of Skirmish along the way. It is really satisfying to spend some more time on painting and playing games where most of your army looks almost completely painted and shows a good look. Even though you are progressing well and the models look good, I have the feeling that you`re facing a similiar challenge when I read your post: you love your army but are never satisfied to the fullest. This is a possibility to do it, instead of constantly thinking about getting the stuff done, simply enjoying it with smaller goals. Your minis look really nice and you could already play skirmish with them, so that will be a great motivational driver. Keep it up, I`ll definitely revisit here more often.
  23. When I look at that porthole I wonder into what direction it opens. It seems to be blocked in either direction...just saying...
