I am so lost right now haha. I assume some "future insights" have been posted in other places? I honestly could not care less about how powerful the rules are or are not. As long as they stay decent when the inevitable nerfs happen. I have honestly thought that the number of actual players who go out and buy whole new armies based on powerlevel are few and far between. If we are OP for now wonderful. Won't impact me much as playing games is still not really a thing.

What they are is patience killers. Beautiful models but wow putting them together is something else.

I think this is where I am at also. It seems unlikely that mounted archers will break the power scale (see Gryph Chargers, which I also love and yes I know they are only sort of archers). But they look really great.

As much as I like the kangaroos, I have trouble thinking more than one box is needed. Lots of shooting options in the army. With all the new options, if they are decent at all, I can see a core of 20x pikes/10x archers x2, or maybe one at 10x/10x being standard. The biggest impact on this will probably be the damage output of Bladelords.

You can use the model without conversion at all in my opinion. Also, just so you know the Cathallar model looks significantly better in person than it does through pictures (particularly the GW pictures). I am not sure why this is, but its kinda crazy how much better it looks not online. The 360 view is better than the static picture, but doesn't do it justice.

It is my firm belief that the only reason the Syar uber-troll ability has not been changed is because not many people use it. There are so many armies against which that ability is just insane. Sons, Beastclaw, FEC, Hedonites (pre mortals), etc (any army that has multiple hero monsters). It almost makes Sons unplayable in a 1k format as people have alluded to above. Now, I am totally ok with it, but think its probably not crazy to imagine a day when that changes from not being able to attack to a -2 to hit all other targets type deal.

Isn't the new Lumineth novel coming out in March? That is apparently about the Ossiarch invasion of Hysh, which I always took to happen after whatever Teclis did. I haven't given up hope the Teclis BR will have interesting things happen. I wasn't expecting Teclis to kill Nagash.....yet.

Strachan is pretty decent in my experience. Yeah 3.4 isn't terrible, and I think about the same on Amazon? I suppose I usually look for 4 stars as a good mark, for some reason I equate that with having evened-out the 1 star haters and the 5 star cheerleaders and produced a good overall rating. Haha, didn't expect my philosophy of book reviews would become relevant today!

Wrong. You must post a long discussion of the QUALITY of the models, the OVERREACTION that people are having to a small faq (even if that is actually the source of the complaint), wait did I mention the models are FANTASTIC. ? Or, if you are like me, you can wonder what any of that has to do with a company making statements that are blatantly untrue. Though if I were them, I would be quite comforted to know they can say anything as long as the models are GREAT. @Ogregut GW didn't give many of the reasons you listed above. They didn't say, AoS doesn't need an FAQ. They didn't say 3d edition is coming soon. They didn't say, hey covid prevented us from getting this done (just delayed). I think if they had said any of those, the pitchforks would not be waiving.
