  1. Any idea why Slaanesh is suddenly doing better at events? The point drops we got in the last battlescroll don t seem enough to justify it but maybe we only needed those extra 20-30 pts for the list to hold?

    I ve been seeing more Invaders lists also at events when they were absolutely never played after the initial faq we got a year ago!

     

  2. The masque replaces Lurid Haze. It s a shame we lost 3 subfactions in this battletome and basically only 1 sees play in competitive gaming. Restricting enhancements being sub faction specific is also terrible. Hopefully some positive changes come our way soon!

    That book really feels it was written under the 2.0 directions. No 3.0 book has any subfactions specific Artefacts as far as I know. This is an old concept we saw in aos 2.0, and they pushed it even a step further by making the spell lore subfaction specific!

  3. So, I tried invaders at a local event this WE and it wasn t as bad as I thought it would be. My list was:

    I went 1 win 2 losses with it

    Biggest issue was with 3 drops I only got turn 1 choice 1 out my 3 games. The game I won 

    The keeper can heroic action to get the best of the best command trait and use icon for a spicy 6 blades and 4 claw attacks once per game.

    The list can chew through high armor thanks to all the minus save it can stack ( up to -4 )

    Twinsouls back on 3 attacks each with icon can do some real pain for a strong euphoric killing

    Lash of Slaanesh spell is really good.I put a unit of 10 protectors on one attack and then used the lord of hubris you first I insist while also engage with the 10 twinsouls block. The ghb spells are still the best spell we have access to. Our army spells are generally underwhelming. Lash works well on a w8zard that wants to be in melee or close to it like a kos

    Sylleske can do some serious damage thanks to the whip attack now being damage 2. He killed Ionus thanks to the keeper making him attack a second time. His warscroll spell is good but 7 to cast without buff is not reliable but its one of our few spell that didn t get gutted to 12in range

    Visage is a great spell because our units are so fragile in comparison to other armies we really want to max out our damage before the hit back. And 26in range!!

    Gw finally removed the dumb faq where we still had to roll a 4+ to get a cp after one of our invader general died so it s now 2+ to get a cp once any of the heroes die potentially twice on a 2+ with their battle trait (shame we can t chain heroic action more than 2 heroes per the faq)

    When I was forced to go first, I was still famined for depravity but thats a problem with the army mechanic not the factions.

    The masque would alleviate that but I dont know where to get the points for her in this list

    My opponents will always refuse temptation dice and take the mortal wounds they would promtly be able to heal back up via all the resurgence abilities in the game

    Game 1 I won had 40+ depravity vs Big waagh

    Game 2 lost had 20 depravity vs SCE. Was a close game

    Game 3 lost had 10 depravity vs Nighthaunt where all my save debuffs was useless. Not a good matchup

    While I took a grand strat that would allow me to summon , i found it s not necessary. If i have the depravity to summon, I m already winning anyway

    Do we know if the trade price include vat? The RRP does but I would think the trade price does not?

    It s terrible. A mechanic that puts a 9w 5+ save in harms way to get a cp for the unit or +1 to cast a spell to improve your charge and can only be cast on the warband? What a waste!

    At 170pt they really make Slaangors look good at 50pts less if I was to compare them with something from the faction

    I did enjoy it with a bigger piece like a keeper of secrets or glutos but it s really not competitive

  9. They are a few good underworld warbands. They usually have a hero and a retinue. The Slaanesh warband may be 3 heroes that you have to take together but are independent? That would be cool!

    It ll be bad if its just a unit of 3 3w models

    We ll know soon I guess

    $110 for the underworld starter set in the USA is too expensive for sure

    There were some rumors that gw had worked on new bretonnians before they decided to kill WFB. This could be why it s in plastic. It was really designed for WFB.  But no matter the reason this gets me excited to play in the old world again with my Bretonnian army

  11. Well that round of point adjustments is a big disappointments for Hedonites!Go Fiends and Slaangor I guess? Blissbarb archers I was expecting to go up again but once again increasing points on blissbarb seekers and slickblades. Epitome and masque didn t deserve these increase. At least painbringers are back down after much complaint for them going up in the last battlescroll

    She was the first one to go out of my list after the summer point increase. She s good but everything is too expensive in that army. It s like we re still paying a.hefty tax for summoning but I d argue we are the faction that can summon the least amongst the ones that have access to it. Hopefully we see some point decrease in the upcoming september battlescroll but I doubt it.  If we do I ll look at bringing her back in

    What I want to know (and if i'm misunderstanding something here, please point it out) is if we cause a unit to reroll due to enrapturess, can that unit add primal dice? The one FAQ about ability triggers is about certain dice (doubles or a number is a 6) and not about forced rerolls. 

     

    Thats the thing I want to clarify on.

    It s not in the faq, it s in the realm rules for primal magic in the ghb.

    "If you choose to use an ability to re-roll a casting, unbinding or dispelling roll, you cannot use primal magic dice"

    Since the enrapturess ability is a re roll not chosen by the caster, he can use primal dice after the re-roll

  15. I don t see enough changes for Hedonites in this battlescroll to matter what will be played.  HoS win rate should drop slightly as more powerful armies have been released: Seraphon, Soulblight, OBR.

    We have no good caster to play this edition that emphasize on wizards. Contorded Epitome rerolls  doesn t synergize with primal dice.

    The recent faq made the enrapturess a lot less appealing since opponent can use primal dice after rerolls

    This means more point drops for us in  the next round I hope

    Hell's teeth. They really are stripping away any value in using the coaltion units, arent they! I have a couple of gorgeous classic Chaos Sorcerer models that I've been routinely using in my army. I was very fond of the Judgement of Excess spell. Oh well... maybe from now on they can "count as" Shardspeakers or something.

    You can still give them a universal spell and universal Artefact but that is it. We cannot even use them as conduit to summon anymore
