  1. After 10+ game I finally summoned last game and it was relevant. I lost my ward in the process but summoning an enrapturess to finish off a l ironclad full of gc that kept running away was the key to victory. I got lucky that he left glutos on 1 wound after his first round of shooting with mostly rend 3 and rend 4 shots thanks to a +2 rend from a khemist and an admiral combined abilities, +1 to wound army wide against him and no ward save allowed on poor glutos who kept getting targeted by a navigator to see its move halved.. But he survived and had only one wound on him round 5. What a champ! Everything performed well and redundancy is definitely needed aga8nst a shooting army that can kill almost any threat in any g8ven turn The blissbarb seekers are mandatory imo against heavy armor units.( most of his army was on a 3+ save) Buffed up Blissbarb archers on 2+/3+ rend 2 is crazy good while very fragile. Lost 2 units turn 1 but just 1 unit did 14 wounds on a 3+ armoured unit in 1 round of shooting in my turn 1 Corvus cabal is any chaos army best ally at 80pts. I expext they ll go up at least 100pts in the next ghb Mirror is what did the least for me this game but its potential is great. My opponent was shtting its pants when I placed it near it s boat loaded of characters and I know it can do well My heroes rarely saw combat. It took a while for glutos to heal backup via hero8c rec9very and a single gorge on excess aga8snt the aranaut for 6 wounds back and my gc needing to stay alive to prevent my opponent grand strat have more gc than the opponent by end of game
  2. The thing is the rounded edge ones are bike size base for 40k and are 25×70. It s clearly an error on the app
  3. I don t think they re meant to be on 50x25. They were sold with 32×60 in the last battle and rapture set
  4. Anybody else find the fane of Slaanesh not useful anymore? No more depravity generation with it and plenty of other means to get +1 to wound that there are no reason to stack mean it s been relegated to a terrain piece to hide small heroes for me. It s a shame really when you compare it with the new khorne skull altar. Reroll prayers, increase invocation range, can summon within 16 and does so even if smashed to rubble
  5. No good target. I completely bounced off the buffed bastilladons and had to make tactical decisions where generating depravity was not the priority over scoring points
  6. I got so little depravity that game. Euhoric killer per turn got me 0/0/4/0/5 and he took mortal wounds when offered dice except about 6 times? I ended the game with about 30 depravity only. The depravity mechanic is super mqtchup dependent and his list was a real counter to depravity generation while I would have had so much with the old mechqnic 😀. It s a while new army to learn. again
  7. Got my first game with the new book last night against Seraphon thunderlizzard double bastilladon and I never got this close to win against Seraphon. With old book, i d get tabled and despite the bastilladon hatred for deamons my keeper of secret with shining aegis was actually alive at the end of the game. We tied 21-21 but I ended up losing because I failed the grand strat to tempt a unit 6 times in the game which I don t believe I ll try again. Super fun game when I used to hate playing Seraphon with hedonites. I m very impressed by the book
  8. Cant pile in unless he charged. Unit that charge can pile in even if outside of 3 inches
  9. With 2 chaos battletomes being released in the spring, new being releasedthis winter and only Khorne and Slaanesh not having a 3rd ed update after, looks like we only have 3-6 .onth to wait!
  10. Fomoroid crusher, damned and deadly terrain.These are the standard Slaanesh tricks to wound their own units outside of endless spells
  11. Man, looking at these Slaves to darkness leaks. So good! 3+ base save, rend 9n everything Going to run a marked Slaanesh s2d with Sigvald as an ally until we get a new tome I think
  12. I m really not sold on painbringers. Twinsouls are in a good spot because of bounty hunter and access to rend via a purple sun. My unit of 10 will still bounce to a unit of 5 stormcast vindictors without these buffs. What do you consider our stonger character to be? I feel they re all overcosted outside of sigvald who s ok for a turn and then is dead. Blissbarb archers are now even undercosted I feel i the last 30pt reduction they got went too far in my opinion.They re only not seeing more play because it is such a horrible kit to assemble while the models are beautiful. It s a shame that all the deamon units remained untouched and have no place in our starting army. I hope we see some meaningful point reduction there very soon as they have been forgotten for over a year now
  13. Looks like we missed the mark on being in the factions that needs the most help according the recent gw metawatch article. Interesting that they ve broken the Orruk warclan faction for the first time. Hopefully they still provide proper buffs to our faction so it s not just 55 blissbarb archers and a krondspine that does well for us competitively
  14. I was closely watching the Tzeentch changes to see how our book could shape up and now I have no idea. I had my hopes up with the Nurgle book but Tzeentch seems to be a 2.1 book and not a 3.0. I can only hope they do a complete revisit on Slaanesh when our time comes
  15. Yes you can. Unlike artefacts and command traits, it s not restricted to the rider
  16. Yes, you can since every wizard in your army can get a spell not starting wizard. You ll need to choose at the time the wizard is summoned which I always forget
  17. One of the problem with the keeper is excess of violence is a command ability. You can get roared and denied of the ability and you re unable to go all out attack or all out defense because of it while those are most of the time in my games better ca to use. That would change if the unit could fight a second time immediately after it already fought like the khorne ca in reapers of vengeance. 3rd edition has not been kind even to the hyper tone down keeper warscroll we got in our last battletome. The fact that 3rd ed came with another 25% point increase to it pushed the kos to unplayable outside of narrative game or corner case summon for me
  18. What was your Glutos list? The keeper of secret is not worth its points in my opinion
  19. I can t wait to see what the Tzeentch bt looks like. I think this will give us a good idea if wards for deamons are coming back in fantasy and if they can repeat the Maggotkin success and we should be excited or not for the next Hedonites tome
  20. Khorne is actually doing ok at the moment with their revised blood tide mechanic but I get what you are saying. I look forward to try that krondspine I have on pre order in my Hedonites army. Some much needed anvil for our faction. I ve found the purple sun has helped a lot of armies that don t have access to high rend such as Slaanesh

I think it s more the krondspine and the purple sun(giving us the extra rend we desperately need) than the point drops (while this helped as well) that are giving us more wins On the always strike last being too easy comment, I think it hasn t been the case for a while with the quantity of shooting in the game and more armies having also access to asf/asl While the treelord no pile in and always strike last worked to great effect for my opponent, I was still able to kill it while keepiing it engaged Units are a lot more resilient with all out defense and better armour saves in the game in general. Our old locus and the keeper being able to excess of violence itself to attack a second time would not be that scary with where the game s at

By the end of turn 5 I had Sigvald, the epitome, 5 hellstriders and a unit a 5 deamonettes left while my opponent had allarielle and his general (dude on foot with wings ) left It was weird fighting a treelord my opponent summoned, these guys have the old rules we used to have for our keepers (give asl on 3+) makes me hopefull we get some of our cool rules back. In the end i got the win getting my grand strategy and preventing him to get his ( we both had take what s theirs)
