  1. Got ya, Locus of Diversion and Euphoric Killer seem to give all Slaanesh heroes and units in general quite a boost and meat-grind ability, so the trade-off for low attacks on the KoS and a Shalaxi seems fair enough - I would, however, find it extremely difficult to leave them on their own then, as even if they hold back the enemy unit till last, they’ll only output anywhere between 2 to 10 damage at 50/50 to hit, which just seems too random to be a safe choice, but I assume it’s part of the charm!
  2. Hey there! I was looking at some of the Slaanesh scrolls, and was wondering how KoS and Shalaxi gets most bang for their buck? Even with high damage count it seems like their attack profile is very limited at 1-2 attacks, at 2+/3+, and even with Excess of Violence, to me, it just seems like a 50/50 to do a whole lot of damage or none at all? Please note I am by no means a Slaanesh player (might be after this conversations though!) so it’s more of a curiosity thing
  3. No, I have fully painted models I won't be parting with - I just know I won't be doing anything with these, so maybe someone else can benefit from them

  5. I agree, it's unfortunately one of GWs sales tactics I massively disagree with. You are basically forcing customers to purchase an extra box of 3 to get a Hero leaving them with an odd number of models, whereas having a named character double as a Hero leaves people to decide and don't put models to waste - I understand why they are doing it, but I don't agree with it one bit. Not sure if anyone have seen a different, more positive, reason for them doing this yet?
  6. Are you okay bud? I'm not sure how you feel they are destroyed though, they have just been made less competitive to not have 6 SCE armies in every Tournament Top10, which I personally think is great and adds a bit of much-needed flavour to the scene. I refuse to be salty about GW balancing the armies a bit again, and I'd still say the ones you've picked here are still very much competitive, but of course you're free to disagree - Also it would be good to see something other than a Gavriel list for once
  7. I'd say they are still very much competitive - Sequitors, Castigators and Evocators are somewhat better for the price on paper, but I wouldn't say they are more competitive outside their Sacrosanct synergy - I'm sure people will disagree, but we have yet to see competitive lists while we wait for the final models to be released, so it's all speculation and mathhammer at the moment. Also remember that Sequitors require Lord-Arcanum as General to be Battleline, so if that's not your jam Liberators is your best option by far, and given that some of the old Battalions are still competitive, the rest will automatically be best from a synergy point of view
  8. Anyone know if the new ETB Astreia Solbright comes with the alternative Lord-Arcanum hero options, or if they'll come later? Everything says it should do, but with the new ETB sets with less moving parts, I'm not sure about anything anymore. The link on GW only shows the Astreia scroll, and the box gives nothing away like it usually does (eg. Knight-Venator, Stardrake etc.) I'l wait and see on Saturday, but so far I don't want to get my hopes up
  9. Thoughts on this future list appreciated: Allegiance: Stormcast Eternals Stormhost: Celestial Vindicators LEADERS Lord-Arcanum on Dracoline (240) - General Command Trait : Single-Minded Fury Artefact : Stormrage Blade Spell : Celestial Blades Mount Trait: Pride Leader Knight-Incantor (140) Mindlock Staff Stormcaller UNITS 15 x Sequitors (360) 5 x Sequitors (120) 5x Sequitors (120) OTHER UNITS 6x Evocators on Dracolines (600) 5x Evocators (200) Chronomatic Cogs (60) Balewind Vortex (40) WARSCOLL BATTALION Cleansing Phalanx (120) TOTAL: 2000/2000 === Ideas is simple: Drop Dracolines behind enemy lines, charge on 7 with Cogs, Empower and rerolls. Empower the Sequitors with reroll hit and wounds from Phalanx. Stormcaller and support from Incantor on Vortex.
  10. I would always argue that RAW supersedes any additional information and that it’s an obvious oversight, and the intention was never to con way into additional spells. My point is that they’ve not really thought it through, and it’s an opening for - let’s call them “interesting” - players who are keen on bending the rules any which way can help them, which is really unfortunate. My assumption is that this is not the only oversight, and with Nighthaunt and SC having so many new interesting ways of smashing face, it’s something to keep an eye out for.
  11. Just a quick question here, I’m almost sure has been answered already, but here goes: on Evocators in the app it states the following under their Magic “It cannot attempt to cast any spells other than Empower...” however, on the same scroll it notes Arcane Bolt and Mystic Shield, and on Azyr the option of adding Lore of the Storm is present. Given that in the book it also states “cannot be cast by units of Evocators” under Lore of the Storm, but not under Lore of Invigoration, is this an oversight or me misunderstanding the RAW? What are the actual, accepted options for Evocators?
  12. Thanks bud, but looking at the new book I’m not seeing any generic versions of eg. Aventis Firestrike or Astreia Solbright (yet) so the thing is, as a guy who’s devoted hours to painting Celestial Vindicators, I cannot and will not field them as Hammers of Sigmar, meaning I will lose out on some real key models if no generic versions gets introduced, and that’s bugging me massively. As it is now I am almost forced to paint them in poster boy colours and be annoyed with it (and not even be able to use their CA’s), or not field any of the new named heroes, whether they are good or not, and that’s a massive downside to me.
  13. So how does people feel about the new named heroes? It feels like it's a Hammers of Sigmar-only show, and I had hoped for a clarification of whether these can be used for any of the other Stormhosts by now (I may have just missed it). It's pretty clear from RAW that if you want a strong host you better paint them as the golden poster boys, as the other hosts offers no specific improvements over HoS. Thoughts?
  14. This is amazing work, extremely useful for creating your own characters or cards! Not sure how much work this would be, but any chance of a Battalion builder as well? Thanks!
  15. Looks great - Great detail and love the finer details like the gems and banners - well done, you've clearly put work and thought into it! Love the colour scheme as well - Is that Xereus Purple/Genestealer and Caliban/Moot Green with Yellow mixed in?
