  1. I love the new night gobbo look, but agree the flying stand/mushroom isn't so hot. I don't like the connecting things to the base like swirly bits and whatnot. I'd rather just the clear stand. Kinda kills the sense of movement for me. Looks like a squiq got impaled on a tree ?
  2. He's pretty awesome. I'd love a Moonclan reimagining where they're half fungus/mushrooms.
  3. I think the new model is okay but seems a bit generic, kind of like the Death hero before too. Maybe they will all be a bit like that. New logo is nice.
  4. Navigator, Arkanauts and Gunhauler definitely seems like the box they'd do. Right in line price-wise and at least 2/3rds units that are probably not selling as well as others. Would love if that were a Christmas surprise but expecting soonest would be 2018. I believe 40k is getting a few new SC boxes, so maybe there's hope.
  5. Same thought I had, just another of the dozens of boardgames/excuse for models GW has released in the last few years. Even Silver Tower didn't appeal much to me beyond the models. This seems quite neat though, compact but variable and pretty tactical. I'd love if they fleshed out the factions to where we had dozens of warbands to choose from in the future. I could see myself buying a lot of them. A Kharadron warband would be sweet! Hope this catches on. Only thing I find a bit unfortunate right now is it seems all warbands are set, as in you can't compile your own? Seems like that could possibly change in the future if they released single heroes for factions but you still had to have the same number of models in your band.
  6. I had zero interest in Shadespire until a few hours ago. After watching the miniwargaming vid, I get it and I really like it. Too many ways to spend money in my life.
  7. Where did this Chaos alliance rumour come from? I'm out of the loop.
  8. The snail kinda brings me back to when it seemed like GW made more goofy models that weren't necessarily just menacing looking. He looks like he should be tending to Nurgle's farms back home, not going to war. I quite like how unique he is.
  9. It must just be the angle but that top left guy's fingers look extremely disfigured. I'm interested to see how this turns out. GW seem to be selling it a lot harder than many of their boxed games, like the Khorne one. Pretty lofty claim calling it the ultimate competitive miniatures game in the previews.
  10. I think that is the right move in general, but a kick in the nuts to people who spent all that money getting all of the same weapon, like people did with Stormfiends. Tom though, those models look beautiful!
  11. I quite liked the pack of real Libs I got too. GW's release schedule has been a bit funny throughout AoS. They go through these decently long periods of nothing and then throw several things down at once. Even just these two big announcements both coming on the same day. Why not at least save one for the next day? Not complaining though. I love the box sets. That judicators/corsairs one is up my alley.
  12. Very cool boxed sets coming. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/08/17/the-season-of-war-continues-in-firestorm-aug17gw-homepage-post-2/
  13. Urgghh I love the bundle boxes. Best thing about new GW. So hard to resist.
  14. Huh, I can't remember perfectly but did those mounted Wanderer units go up in price with the reboxing too? I don't like that trend, like with Pink Horrors. Edit: Ghost Duardin confirmed
  15. All the rules are just marketing for the models anyway, so that could apply to anything. I do agree that certain cases are more egregious/seem less justified than others. I like hordes on my shelf but not without a movement tray in a game.
  16. Massive Regiments - please make movement trays for that. I'm down with the idea just not the pain of movement.
  17. It will be a wild world if Beastmen outlive High Elves on the GW shelf.
  18. Love some new Start Collecting sets. They make it so hard not to collect every army. Great to see Fyreslayers finally get prices cleaned up. I bet a lot of people are going to pick up that SC.
  19. I agree. I am very anti-complex rules. But I am more anti-strict unit sizes. I hate buying 16 models and wondering whether I should even build and paint one of them, or trying to convert a model to a hero, such as crypt ghouls, and never ending up with the right number of models. Personally I'm not a fan of all the artifacts and whatnot but AoS got too confusing for me long ago. I just casually paint now.
  20. Facebook talks about "descending" too so sounds like the sky pirates.
  21. But salt enhances the flavour! Thanks for the update Would wonder how they'd differentiate the Shadowkin (presumably Order) aelves and also Slaanesh-worshipping (presumably Chaos) aelves.
  22. Repacks are a great call. Libs/Juds/Pros all priced way too high off the bat. Need to give Fyreslayers same attention.
  23. My only issue is the same with all the Stormcast cavalry, way too busy for me to enjoy painting. Cavalry has always been a chore for me in the first place, even though I love the aesthetic, and they're only getting bigger and busier in the mortal realms. Unfortunate the photo is so jaggy, makes it look a bit less clean than it should.
  24. New Stormcast stuff looks awesome and I love it. That's not something I was saying back around Extremis. Somehow I've become quite fond of them and love that they're getting expanded so much. Nice to have such a deep and varied range.
