  1. Notice the trend that collected books that had a) the largest number of miniatures and b) which were the most generic in their diversity are those product lines that retained their metal and finecast models. These would include Legions of Nagash, Beasts of Chaos and Skaven. If I were a betting man, these are the armies that I trust least to retain their current shape when they are next updated. That is, my money is on these armies having a 2-3 year lifespan before they'll experience major changes. I suspect current stock levels had a lot to do with the shape of these factions. They will certainly not look the same with their next update.
  2. So, lets get this straight: We have a non-western predominantly bone-based army with necromantic constructs and skeletal catapults, who have a robust culture of honor (bone tithe contracts for example) and vaguely Egyptian imagery (hieroglyphics and cartouches [which are distinctly Egyptian I might add]) mixed with other eurasian cultural elements (but not enough that it can be tied to any one culture in our world, something that make it immanently IP-protectable), and are lead by an ego-manical leader who won't even deign to fight the peasants unless they prove themselves worthy...and you don't see any remagined, AOS-ified TK in that? At all?
  3. Correct. When I say TK is coming, in no way am I claiming that they will use a single old model. In fact, I would bet against them using any old models. But what is coming will be what TK reimagined in the mortal realms will look like.
  4. Well, it sounds like you're in for a pleasant surprise.
  5. We'll see if you're still saying this in 3 months 😉
  6. We certainly don't know if the chart is accurate. That said, there will likely be unit differentiation based on weapon loadouts, so those 3 kits could easily generate 10+ unique data sheets.
  7. Either. I do not believe KO have new battleline.
  8. I don't know anything for certain on this, but it doesn't look like we've been given any additional battleline.
  9. Nope. I generally report what I know. Sorry I don't have more for all the other armies.
  10. And, to be clear, the points don’t reflect the forthcoming GHB.
  11. People who know people who know people. I haven't directly seen anything. I likewise asked about Nighthaunt but they had no info for me (other than genric "points decreases").
  12. Yep. Their points are going down almost across the board in the new GHB, including 40 point drops for the larger vessels, Khemist down 20, Skywardens back down 20, Thunderers down 10, as well as other similar tweaks. They should be very playable moving foward. More significantly, I had previously said they were coming this Spring with Sylvaneth - I clearly got my wires crossed on which duardin were being refreshed this Spring (given the Fyreslayer tome). KO book is 6-9 months I would guess. Other significant news includes the three new command generic command abilities include reroll 1s to hit, reroll 1s to wound, and reroll 1s to save. Sounds like we'll all be capped at only 1 additional command point (purchasable for 50 points in matched play). Dok took a hit, but it wasn't tragic (Hags at 90, etc.). Interestingly, alot more points adjustments by 10s instead of 20s (eels up 10, etc). That's all I have right now.
  13. Honestly no idea how the pieces fit together. If they are aligned with Nagash, it wouldn't surprise me (this is speculation) if they bundle it as Nulahmia, under Nefrata's control. If they did this, the aesthetic is already present and she would have the lore of Death constructs given her past. This doesn't seem like a far reach. Alternatively, they could do something completely new with either Katophranes, or historical TK.
  14. Yeah, KO hasn't happened and its probably because they hate me.
  15. I wouldn't make the jump that it is "more skeletons". I don't know exactly what but we'll probably see them lean into the constructs pretty heavily.
  16. Before the new year, possibly as early as October.
  17. I'm not sure how true it is, but I've heard that Vulkites are getting a rework from the ground up, losing their after-save, but picking up two wounds per model. Rumors suggest only the Hearthguard keep their aftersave. I guess we'll see.
  18. To be clear, I do not have insider knowledge. I do not know what they are going to do. That said, I have provided them feedback on what I think they should do, and it does include some of those ideas.
  19. If everything stayed the same...sure. Want another prediction that will likely come true? Our Khemist buff is going to either go to a command ability, be wholly within x" of the khemist (most likely) or even become a different kind of buff (like reroll wounds). Would that kill KO too? Sure...if everything else stayed the same. We literally have no idea what is coming down the pipeline. Imagine a world where embarking counts as garrisoning, where you can shoot 20 Company guns from within a Ironclad, which itself could have its armor save drop to 3+ base and be immune to rend, or whatever and you could melee from the ship with your skypikes. Imagine a world where we have an armywide buff called "Sharpshooter" or "Deadeye" or whatever, that lets us ignore Lookout Sir!, or hell, what if it simply let us ignore all penalties to hit while shooting ranged attacks? What if we got new warscroll versions of all our boats that included baked in heroes on the ships (this would be an easy alternate build for the boats, they would treat the ships as mounts), that would let us give us the ability to equip those heroes with items and claim points in Arcane places of power? Or imagine a world where Thunderers dropped to 80 points for 5 and became battleline, Gunhaulers dropped to 100 points and became battleline, and Skywardens and/or Endrinriggers could become battleline with certain heroes as generals? What if we got new battalions that let us include Dispossessed and/or Fyreslayers in our force without counting as allies, or we gained the ability to embark units from those factions on our ships? What if Navigators or Endrinmasters gained a set of mechanical drones that functioned like Khorne's new judgments and could buff allies and attack or debuff enemies? What if all of the Skyports were upgraded to be as enticing and competitive as Zilfin? What if we simply got a couple more kits like aether-powered Grundstock assault troops to give us some melee punch or generic admirals like Brokk that can be customized? The aethersphere is literally the limit with what could be. Want to hear some more good news? Rumors suggest we'll have a new book in our hands within the next 8 weeks and, if the last 4 books released this year are any sign, then the new book will be on the cutting edge of the meta and be competitive in every sense of the term. There is absolutely no reason for doom and gloom right now.
