Welcome back to Arks Week here at Mengel Miniatures! With the final book in the series, The Lion, announced, it's time to cover the three books that followed Abaddon. Monday saw angry Ron, and Wednesday we covered the nefarious Vashtorr. Today we take a look at the hero of the T'au Empire, and one of the coolest characters in 40k (in my humble opinion), Commander Farsight! This is the first book to not focus on a Chaos character, and the only one to have a xenos front and center. What does Farsight have to do with Vashtorr's collection of artifacts? Let's find out!

It's no secret that The Old World game is coming, and probably sometime in the next year or two at this point. We've even had quite a bit confirmed about it, but there's still a lot of mystery surrounding the return to the world-that-was. A few things we know for sure is that it will be 28mm, so existing armies and models will be compatible, and that it will be on square bases again. With all of the new stuff for AoS though that will seemingly be compatible with the Old World, part of me wonders about how the square bases will be implemented. Join me, on my journey into the speculative for this new game!-

Do you hear the siren call of the bestial wild? Then the Beasts of Chaos might be for you! These true children of Chaos have long been a staple of the Warhammer universe, and in my opinion are one of the coolest looking armies. With a new battletome, updated lore, new rules, and a brand new Beastlord model, now is the perfect time to jump in. Although I started out this hobby by playing 40k back in the mists of time known as 3rd edition, I've been primarily an AoS player for the last few years. Since 9th edition launched I've been slowly dipping my toe back into gaming on the 40k side and went to my first tournament this past Fall using the Nephilim book. Now a new Grand Tournament Mission Pack is upon us, with changes to how the Matched Play version of the game is played. Instead of a standard review of the book, I'm going to instead look at it through the lens of an AoS player. So, what does the Arks of Omen pack contain? -

This will be a series of books, with each on focusing on a different character, starting off with the big bad himself, Abaddon. I'm a big fan of local businesses, so when Gray Matter Gaming, based out of Metro Detroit in Michigan, asked me if I would like to take a look at their battle mats and movement trays I couldn't pass up the opportunity. More and more often models are coming with "special effects" modeled on them, with the most common of those being fire. Everyone knows what fire looks like, but it can be a bit tricky to paint sometimes. Recently I worked on the Mawpot for my Ogor Mawtribes, and took the opportunity to make a tutorial on how I tackled this hot issue.-

I recently got my first wet palette ever with the Redgrass Games Everlasting Wet Palette, and after holding off for so long I'm definitely a convert. Well, Redgrass Games was nice enough to send me their new V2 Painter Wet Palette that's now available to check out alongside some other cool add ons, so let's take a look! -
It's no secret that at the moment the Ogor Mawtribes lack any real special characters. Sure, they have the two Underworlds models, but you can't even buy one of them anymore. While their model line may be lacking, their lore has two prime candidates in the form of Braggoth Varduk and Globb Glittermaw. The second one's name may seem familiar to you if you're a more veteran player, it did to me too, which led me to a debut article style I'm calling; Tyler's Tinfoil Hat Time!-

While we all love our miniatures, we sometimes forget about the importance of the tools we use to assemble them. There's more to the Sons of Behemat than just some fancy new rules though, they have fancy new lore too! Being a rather new addition to the setting, there's still tons of room to flesh out this gigantic army, and this new book definitely takes advantage of it. As much of a Death fan as I am, I always love Destruction lore because it's all just so much fun! -
