If you cut out geminids, you're 100 points over. That's a really awkward number because there is nothing for you to cut outright to make it work, and trimming down the snakes or the witches is pretty much not an option because you're already only sitting on two main offensive threats.
General consensus is you either choose to run morathi or a block of 20 snakes, but not both as that's a lot of points. I've done well running both, but it kind of chooses the rest of your list for you. I do actually agree with the consensus that the army works better without morathi, but I refuse to not use her. So it can be done, but it's harder to play well.
Are you doing this as a fun army, or are you trying to win events? That answer can help decide what you direction you can go.
Yeah I was working on that list over a year ago so the points are really off. The thing is that I really like the snake theme. My gaming group is fairly competitive but I prefer to paint and play things that I like 😊 But I can't say that I don't prefer to win 😅

About a year ago I was working on a list something like this. But I never got the army started. Would it work to play something similar today?

So, I have started to look at DoK again. Nobody is playing them in my gaming group. Back when the book was released I know they were strong. Now I don't know. How are they played in competitive enviroments now? Looks like Witch elves/Sisters of slaughter heavy? I prefer snakes and would love to try my old list.

Remember, your objective is capture the objectives, you don't want to fight a lot of combats.
I wouldn't say a Slaanesh meta. But they exist

My gaming group is competitive most of the time and play tough lists. I have on the other hand realized that I like to play fun armies but yet try my best to match the competitive side of things. And I have decided that I would like to build a Gloomspite gitz army next year. If I understand correcly a Grot heavy list with lots of endless spells are the most competitive to play right now?

Just dug out my Slaves to darkness boxes. One start collecting and one Godsworn battleforce. Giving me 1 Sorcerer, 1 Sorcerer on Manticore, 1 Warshrine, 15 Knights, 2 chariots and 28 Warriors.
Pre-ordered the book, cards and new start collecting giving me mounted lord and another 10 Warriors and 5 Knights.
Now I only need to figure out how to build it all 😅

Got more info now. He misread the warscroll and played the Gluttons wrong in 3 of the 5 games. Made mortal wounds on 6's with the clubs instead of 2 hits.

The one who placed 5th at the tournament. I don't have any more intel. I just said "Wow Ogor mawtribes in 5th place?" And a couple of guys who were at the tournament said that he cheated or played them wrong. Don't know if that's true or not 😊

There was a pretty big tournament in Sweden last week with a Mawtribes player in Top 5. I believe the only game he lost was to the Slaanesh player. Obviously one placing does not make conclusive evidence, and hopefully we'll get a clearer picture with more big tournies. But I feel like they're a very solid army to look into that can pull results.I heard that he cheated/played the army wrong. Something about doing mortal wounds where he shouldn't 😣

Greetings. I just rebased my Ogre Kingdoms army from the old world. My plan is to try to play it in a competitive enviroment next year. But I wonder how an army like Ogor mawtribes could compete with armies like Slaanesh? We feel like a depravity points buffet 😅

This was the first 2K list I wrote after flipping trough the book. The general idea is to keep the heroes alive and grind down the enemy. I'm looking for improvements and I should add that I have not played any death armies in AoS before.

Lets play some theoryhammer! I saw this list online. Nagash did the heavy lifting (duh) but the guy thought that the Morghast archai where a point sink. So, if you would drop the battalion and the archai how would you opt this list? Or even a totally different Nagash list.

I'm thinking that this will be my first list to try. The idea is simple, grind down the opponent 😊 Another thing to try would be to use Stalkers instead of Immortis guard and the carrion spell instead of shrieker.

Ok. I'll be honest here. I bought two boxes as soon as it hit for pre-order. Now I feel that I want to sell my Vokmortian's and Morghasts. I really like the models for Stalkers and Immortis guard so I'm thinking that I will build both units.
I'm looking at just Petrifex elite with Arkhan and a Liege-kavalos. If that is too light on characters I'm considering a Soulmason aswell.
Honestly don't know how I want to do with the rest 😅
I like the thought of a more mixed list
