  1. I don't think it was a failure as I think it made a lot of money. But I think you are right about it winding down due to Amazon agreement. Personally, I've never used Warhammer+ but that's mainly because of how difficult it was to stream it to a 8 year old TV. I don't want to watch stuff on a laptop screen when I have a TV.
  2. I think there is an element of that but I suspect they like to operate on a FOMO model as it means that they mostly sell out of most stuff and don't have any stock sitting around on shelves or in warehouses. The issue is that they aren't super agile to respond to demand in some cases but I think this is a capacity issue and they can't change what they are making on the production schedule easily.
  3. Yes that's how it seems to work. Don't think of it like they are static but ducking around the terrain and jumping out and yelling "shoot me" before jumping back It'll probably be FAQed though!
  4. It's because there is no such thing as giant rat men. No idea why everybody is getting excited......
  5. +++ Mod Hat On +++ I'm moving this to the Painting part of the forum and I'll look the other way about a non Warhammer game due to the question about metal models However, you can check out https://www.warhammer-community.com/the-old-world-downloads/ as there is a guide for metal and resin models which may be of some help. https://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/xxIe3eu7OX0T1Due.pdf
  6. I think fit in your hobby time when you can but I'd personally have a break for a while. Sounds like you are demotivated due to the upcoming changes and painting things because you have them. If you are fed up with Orruks, sell them or put them into storage
  7. Just echo @Chikout but I do want to add that it's a hobby not a job/task. I struggle with motivation but a large part of that is a combination of work and family life, which has been very hectic for me at the moment. Want examples? We've recently had a dog and busy toilet training it at the moment which is a nightmare. It had never been outside and the person we had it from just let it do it's business on the floor (basically it was a 'accident' to their Crufts winning dog and they were doing the bear minimum). And of course we got the stubborn gobby one! Second example is my wife washed the wireless thermostat for the boiler in the washing machine (don't ask how). So that was a fun couple of hours trying to calm my wife down, hope the thermostat dried out enough to work and then getting the thing to connect correctly. It works at moment.... So don't get stressed about getting stuff done. Do it when you want to and enjoy it
  8. +++ Mod Hat On +++ If you want to discuss the Coherency rules and how other games do it, can we please have another topic about it? Thanks
  9. I think it's because it was a big change from the 90s Crab Claw Daemonettes. The current plastics are okay but I think they do look dated although the aesthetic is about right in my opinion. Agreed. I doubt they will ship a model with the magazine now probably due shelf space and shipping. Back to rumours.... Not expecting an article today for new AOS. I'm thinking now it's just going to be Monday's and Thursday's with a sprinkling of more articles closer to May when they let people play the game at the demo shows.
  10. I think it's silly as well but again makes you wonder about the production issues GW have been having! Also very interesting about Night Goblin release. Very surprised about that!
  11. It's not. It's more of a 40K think and I think this statement is for those players That's what I'm expecting which ties into the work they have done reviewing all the warscrolls. I imagine the Warhammer Community Team have a couple of people writing articles and probably a team lead who does the editing. Makes you wonder how far in advance the articles are written and in what order they are written. I imagine the bulk of the "This is how X works or has changed" were pre-written and the article of which models are being removed was a recent thing.
  12. +++ Mod Hat On +++ Can we move the discussion about Warcry blended with Mordheim or Necromunda to another topic please? It sounds really cool and I would be a fan of it but I think it needs it's own topic
  13. I'm kind of hoping we will also see a unit of priests (or the champion is) as it would create a bit of variety. Just keep it simple like they buff themselves.
  14. You'd also think that as it's national pet day in UK (don't ask! ), they could have done something about showing off the mounts we've seen in the trailer!
  15. Yeah it's really weird. It's horrible to get the info drip fed but looking back at the articles it is always cool to see how it all fits together. The worst bit though is the lull after the game comes out as it will be Summer, everything goes a bit quiet as typically there are no big releases until September. However, if anybody from GW is reading this and thinks it would be good to do a TGA show off, I'm sure it would be cool to invite a few of us to Warhammer World to do a video
  16. Universal Special Rules edit - no question is silly by the way if you don’t know the answer 😉
  17. +++ Mod Hat On +++ Can we take the discussion about GW and their business practises to another topic now please.
  18. Yup, especially as it can be used to move units to contest objectives or get into your opponents part of the board (depending on how you win games in new edition). Also seem very powerful when used with some unit abilities with how they've sneaked this into the preview!
  19. If (and that should be IF ), I've read the article correctly, there is no way to get extra CP. I imagine for Hero's they may get an aura ability or a "LEEROY JENKINS!!!!" ability but I don't think we will see anything about using command abilities.
  20. This might be where the modular rules come into effect. Don't like something, try playing games with out it. I know this will largely depend on your gaming group but it is an option now which should be cleaner to do.
  21. I suspect there will be some faction ones. At a guess there probably will be say two faction ones, and then one for each battle formation to make it unique. (bit like 40k )
  22. Probably because Covering Fire can only target the closest visible unit and has -1 to hit rolls! Counter Charge is more powerful in my opinion as you can choose your target and doesn't have any negatives apart from if you are rubbish at rolling dice (like me! ). Overall, I quite like these changes. Adds a nice layer to the game and all seem useful. Can see Redeploy being used a lot to contest or capture last minute objectives!
  23. Without opening fresh wounds, as GW can change anything whenever they want to (dropping Fantasy to create Age of Sigmar for example), I can say advice I was given years ago - If unsure what to go for due to worries about changes, go for the latest newest thing. So I would say any Stormcast and Skaven models you buy on release will be fine. But always remember that GW's business model is to get players to go and buy new stuff with changing how the rules work (such as a new edition or revised battletome). I like all of this but in these cases always put it as artistic licence. The rules may not work that way, but it looks cool if you painted it that way Just to say again - I love how enthusiastic Chapter Master Valrak is and I do enjoy watching most of his videos as you can get a creative hobby buzz off them, BUT he is a Content Creator who's job is to get you to watch his videos.
  24. I hope we get an article. I think people need it looking at the last few pages of this topic!
  25. Oooh. Has my rantings about a mecha piloted by a organic blob going to come true? I'd love to see some sort of thing similar to the Guardians from Breath of the Wild as well but that may be a bit too much like Bonereapers
