  1. Quick/weird question; been out of the game for a little bit, coming back with a path to glory at the local club. I’m taking a slaughtermaster as my leader (this is set in stone). What’s the best options for the 4 followers? My kneejerk was 2 units of 6 gluttons, or am I missing a better choice?
  2. Actually I was thinking just now about dropping 2 leadbelchers which would give me 20 gnoblars with the 20 points left over...
  3. Had a go at this myself - Allegiance: Ogor Mawtribes - Mawtribe: Boulderhead Mortal Realm: Shyish Leaders Frostlord on Stonehorn (400) - Artefact: Ethereal Amulet - Mount Trait: Metalcruncher Frostlord on Stonehorn (400) - Artefact: Brand of the Svard - Mount Trait: Black Clatterhorn Slaughtermaster (140) - General - Trait: Lord of Beasts - Lore of Gutmagic: Battleline 3 x Ogor Gluttons (120) 12 x Ogor Gluttons (400) - paired Clubs or Blades 4 x Leadbelchers (160) 4 x Ironguts (220) Battalions Goremand (140) Total: 1980 / 2000 Extra Command Points: 0 Allies: 0 / 400 Wounds: 125 Awkward having to give the Lord of Beasts to the slaughter master as he needs to be the general to fulfil the battleline requirements. Also didn’t know what single spell would be best, Entrails to buff the FLoSH or something else to buff the gluttons he’ll likely be hanging around with. Figured an extra unit of ogors outweighs the butcher outside of bloodgullet though. Thoughts?
  4. Yeah MB, I thought you were replying to the guy who recommended 2 FLoSH and 4 SHBR
  5. Just run Boulderhead. Then both FLoSH get a mount trait and every model gets an extra wound. Plus all the other stuff is pretty decent in a monster mash list.
  6. Same. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if it’s a Carrion Empire level release, like we get a new model (which might as well be a box set exclusive) and a Battletome, spells and terrain. Which, don’t get me wrong, I’m all for! No complaints here!
  7. Shedding a tear for no Ogor news. Continue languishing without allegiance abilities...
  8. Fair point. I suppose with the amount of space the 24 ogors are already taking up behind the screen, there’s not much room for the Ironguts in my mind, but the backfield use for the other 20 stopping teleport/deep strike shenanigans can’t be denied.
  9. Really? I’d have thought another unit of grots that small would evaporate without achieving much...
  10. Looking for some input into this potential list - Allegiance: Gutbusters Mortal Realm: Aqshy Leaders Tyrant (160) - General - Massive Ogor Club - Trait: Big and Brutish - Artefact: Ignax's Scales Butcher (140) - Pair of Stump Blades and Great Cauldron Fungoid Cave-Shaman (90) Battleline 12 x Ogors (400) - Pairs of Ogor Clubs or Blades 12 x Ogors (400) - Pairs of Ogor Clubs or Blades 3 x Ironguts (180) Units 60 x Grots (270) Endless Spells / Terrain Quicksilver Swords (30) Total: 1720 / 2000 Extra Command Points: 1 Allies: 0 / 400 Wounds: 187 The Tyrant is kitted out to be survivable rather than killy, as the immunity to battleshock on the 3 blocks of infantry is resting on him remaining alive. The last 280 points, simple question, 6 Leadbelchers or 4 Mournfang?
  11. Ahoy! Been away from the grandfather for a while, now looking for help making a 2k list, really having trouble getting everything I want in... I feel like I want a GUO and a big block of Plaguebearers to hold the line, I want the Glottkin and a Harbinger to buff up stuff, I want some blightkings and Gutrott to pop up backfield , and I want plague monks to buff up and murder things! I’ve tried building lists and find that I always have to compromise on something... So my question would be if I have to lose out on something, what gets cut? OR can someone show me a list where I get what I want?
  12. I think the general word on the street at the moment is that an Ogor book isn’t far off. Whether it’s a mixed Ogor/BCR book or not, no idea. Theres literally nothing to substantiate this rumour but it prevails, it keeps being brought up on forums and there’s a few rumour machine images that COULD be Ogor related so... yeah, I think the model range is safe but who knows when new stuff is going to pop up (certainly after Sylvaneth and Warcry blow over anyway).
  13. Faction terrain now just outside of 3 inches instead of 6? Little easier but still sucks for Sylvaneth...
  14. Could be that BCR become like the Groves for Sylvaneth and Greatfrays for Beasts of Chaos; an option for a themed army (maybe a limiting factor could be nothing in the army with a movement characteristic of less than 7) within the Ogor battletome? Who knows, all this is speculation and we could be wishing on a prayer here 😅
  15. The old classics are still available (reroll charges, auto run 6 and auto pass battleshock), they’re just in the core rules, not the GHB
  16. Literally had this exact conversation on FB a few hours ago... by your generous interpretation, in a BCR vs BCR match if ONE model made a charge then every model on the board could reroll wounds of 1, because there’s no “friendly” wording. if you read it from back to front (kinda) - “beastclaw raider models in the combat phase can reroll wound rolls of 1 in a turn in which THEY charged”, the THEY being important because it refers to the models who have charged, not everyone.
  17. I had almost this same thought in the Gutbuster thread, but simply count wounds (or wounds characteristic) for the purposes of objectives and battleshock. It would be a unique ability and very thematic for their “bully” theme, one Ogor being worth 4 of anything else!
  18. Why would we need a battletome, we’re just as deadly as ever?... Jokes aside, I’d kill even for an allegiance ability. Dare to dream for option 3 though.
  19. I’m unfortunately more concerned that it’s the latter, as BCR got changes... If they got got changes, that makes it less likely that Ogors are getting soup’d, and personally I doubt Gutbusters have enough to fill a battletome on their own. I mean, fingers crossed it IS a positive indicator but GW has burned before, and will burn again...
  20. Not quite. Forbidden power allows any army to take certain Fyreslayers or Flesh Eater Courts. They’re kinda like allies but they get their own little ability for themselves (rerolls on something when charging/charged, can’t remember exactly) If you take them however, you don’t get a CP in your first hero phase...
  21. Pretty sure someone debunked this as a fake already, sorry!
  22. Long time BCR player, newly bought into Gutbusters, genuinely looking forward to a soup battletome, bored to tears so starting wishlisting some army traits... “Throwin Yer Weight Around” Ogor units count their combined wound statistics instead of their model count for the purposes of holding objectives “Big Bullies” Ogor units get +1 bravery when within 3 inches of an enemy unit that has a smaller base size than it’s own “Feast When You Can” Keep track of damage caused in combat by every unit. At the end of the combat phase, roll a dice for every wound inflicted by an Ogor model (not mounts) in that phase. For every 6, heal a wound to that Ogor model/unit that caused that wound. Thoughts? Just idle wishlisting, maybe drum up some conversation...
  23. Was kind of hoping for clarification on the plague monks standards and musicians and unit sizes; if it’s one of each per full 20 or part of 20 (I.e. do you get any standards/musicians in a unit of 10).
  24. Had a game tonight, 2K vs snake-heavy temple nest DoK. Was limited by the models I actually own and ran a grey seer general, congregation of filth (40, 40, 20, 10 monks) a foul rain (2 catapults) and another furnace. The entire foul rain got teleported onto and destroyed top of turn 1, bad positioning on my part and a lucky charge roll, so no input on that part. However from that point mass monks just... rampaged... through everything... So is trying to mix it up a fools errand? Is moar monkz just the answer to everything? The point spent on the foulrain could have been another 60-odd monks...
