  1. Nice blow. I concede my defeat. That is a bit sad! That is not the legion of Grief for nothing. Dreadblade harrow is already a famous nighthaunt general , I really love him as a LoG general too.
  2. Quote the rule page or it doesn't exist.👻
  3. Yet we still have the kos on mount which does something similar. You might miss the caster part.
  4. I don't see any allegiance keyword on this bataillon. I see no reason not to integrate it in your LoG army. Welcome to resurrecting 12 myrmourn for 1 cp.
  5. What is the hotness around the mantilord? I failed to see the real added value? what is the concerned artifact?
  6. No. Mostly because those different loadout do more or less the same thing or are at least target dependant. Contrary to 40k where some upgrades are more powerful than others. Debatable. Yet I think people don't mind too much if list building is "boring" as long as the real game is not. For my part, i find aos listbuilding extremely hard since you cannot grind points here and there. You have to make hard choices. As fascinating as this discussion is, I don't think it belongs in the Khorne thread. Let's create another subject elsewhere and talks more about skulls and blood.
  7. Would be a direct downgrade. The current system is an example of simplicity and elegance. Adding granularity in costing is overcomplexifing the game by a large margin. List correction are a nightmare in 40k. The only person made happy are list architects and rockinchair generals.
  8. Priests can already cast only 1 prayer as rumesmiter. Don't mix prayers/blessings and judgements which they can cast one each by turn.
  9. Had another 1500 point game today against the same flesheater player with regent 2 courtiers and 3x6 flayers on battle of the pass. This time I used a skullFiend tribe. Insensate rage thirster general with artefact. 2x5 hounds 5 wrathmomger Banner and 2 priests. All 3 judgements. 4 Individuals khorgoraths. I started the game , advanced made a wall of judgement to protect one objective. Scored 5. He failed to cast anything them charged the unprotected obj. Killed 2 korvoraths 5 hounds. Then he got the double as one of the two judgement faded. He charged again killed everything but my BT, 2 korg and a priest. On my turn I summoned 20 bloodletter and countercharged. Failed to make any 6 to wound with the thirster. Killed all but the heroes and 6 flayers. In the end I won only by a tiny margin due to intense summoning to recapture obj. (Total 20+10 letter +5 hounds) was ok with the slaughter host. Not outstanding. Additional thoughts : Hounds are amazing battlelines. They are fast, they hit hard, they dispell and natively rerolls charges. Compared to other battlelines they do not need (or benefit?) support. And bravery is not an issue compared to Warriors and Reavers. I like Bloodletters too but they NEED that +1A. Hounds delivers 20 attacks at their worst and will tear throught anything without armor. Skullfiends Khorgoraths are great but i felt that you need more than 4 to really benefit from this Slaughterhost. Insensate rage with 8 attacks is brutal. Nothing more to say. I tend to like "no slaughterhost" mortal armies, the mortal command and artefacts traits are amazing, reroll charges, banner of mortal wounds, 5++, +2 attacks artifacts, -2 bravery artifact. blabla.
  10. The TO loves to roll a D18 and see what is coming. i take the risk. a bataillon is hard to get at 1500
  11. Had a couple of 1500 games yesterday (preparing a tournament) against a FEC with a deadwatch, 3X6 flayers, regent and 2 courtiers. I tested two lists : A blood hunt list, WOKBT, Karanak, 3X5 hounds + priest + 3 juggernauts + BTUF.+ axe judgement - Reapers of vengeance. This one was nice, mobile and the opponent couldnt cast a spell properly. but in the end, all the dammage was dependant on the BT and the command ability.. The +1 to wound heroes was nice. Expetialy with the flail to snipe thoses pesky courtiers. i won. The second list : no bloodhost. Aspiring DB, Secrator, 2 priests + 3X5 hounds +2X5 Reapers +1X5 wrathmongers + icon and axe+ 3 mighty skullcrushers. I won this one too but felt much happier this time. More drops = more BT points all the dammages where shared between more units and skullreapers with +3 attacks are amazing. I sent the Skullcrusher in suicide mode with +1 armor and the ennemy took hours to kill them, negating an entire unit. No bloodhost because there was no ability that i wished in thoses and i put the 5++ command trait on the deathbringer and gave the amazind D3 mortal wound banner on the bloodsecrator. I felt thoos was the right choice.
  12. Plus they are an amazing target for the tithe prayer now that we don't have bravery immunity.
  13. My lists change every game. One of them was something like : 3 priests with 3 judgments, blessing : to hit, armor and tithe points Aspiring DB with general trait 5++ , stocker and bloodsecrator with the mortal wound banner (amazing) 3X10 reavers (just screens) 2X5 reapers and 1X5 mongers karanak and 6 jugger If i remember correctly, this list faced an atrocious skaven army with 3 canons, thanquol and the endless storm, a giant daemon rat, tons of clanrats. The scenario was the one with the 3 objective with random values. I got doubleturned by turn 2, loosing all my priests, yet i won because i charged in his hero phase, got two extra combat phase for wrathmongers and reapers, summoned 5 hounds. Plus he had to dedicate too much firepower in destroying the juggernauts, got disctracted this way and allowed me to kill all hs "scoring" units (understand numerous units). It was not a cakewalk, i had to think hard to win. (a turning point was Karanak killing a warlock by dispelling it, giving the missing tithe point, lulz)
  14. You can't imagine how surprised i am to see all of you complaining about this new book just because it doesn't play like Khaine. My meta club is small but yet very competitive, and i have yet to loose a single game against skavens, daughters, Nagash, gobbos... with this new book. Yet i admit i don't play Khorne by its fluff. I don't run toward the ennemy screaming and raging, hoping to kill him before he does. I play the tricky way. I block path with thoses two giant skulls and icons, I make screens with futur tithe points, i send 2+ juggernauts to block daughters (not kill them), i resurect skarr and summons a bunch of hounds near him in the same phase, i combine 3 differents buffs on skullreapers and add 2D3 eels to a failed battleshock. You just can't complain about the tithe table. This thing is the most crazy toolbox in the world! it does EVERYTHING! move charge shoot attack! and more, and you can even add a bunch of hounds when you don't have anything to do. want to finish something far? go for a skullcannon and have a decent chance to snipe it, Or the meteor skull, ! Am i gonna loose the initiative roll ? who cares! i have 5 tithe points! My eyes are rolling when i read comparisons between furies and boodwarriors, i guess there is a reason when one unit has 30 attack and a 6+ while the other has 10 and a 4+. At the very least compares them to hounds (did i mention that fleshounds are an amazing battlelines?) I think some of you want to win the way they want to. You should win the way you have the tools for. And tools, (hoboy) we have! Once again, the games does not resolve around the killing only. It is all about the objectives.
  15. Meh, so much negativity ... disapointing. BTW, does someone hase some cheese idea for a 1500 pts list? (with vanguard restriction/ 2 battleline/4heroes/2behemoths-2artillery) Had little idea of what should be best and can't decide if priest or not.
  16. Which was also buffing the wrath of khorne BT enormously
  17. Yay, Khorne is now melee centered again. I still like the canons, nice summoning piece to shoot something.
  18. BTW, does someone know if you want to cast pray for a axe/skull/icon, does it replace the pray for a blessing/prayer or is it a potential third roll?
  19. Rend > All, Meatripper will always be better Now it is only a matter of choice. I can's see any dominant choice. Mine will always be the two axes for the following reasons : -RR1 is a bad bonus but between the two, it is the only one that get used with bonuses that you give to the warriors (+1 attack, last breath attacks) plus i prefer having bonus for when i strike which is eomething i wish for and prepare my strategy for, rather beeing hit, something i try to avoid.
  20. Yes but having +3/4 attack on 3 units literally obliterate a whole army. The beta strike is huge.
  21. Seems a lot of people consider tidecaster general to be superior to volturnoa general. Is there any reason beyond that?
  22. I had until i realised that this is a spellcaster that does nothing more than the signature spell (or any added spell) I meant by that that unlke GoS that are 40 point more expesive, the Briar queen has no passive bonus. If you fail the easily-failable 7 casting roll, your caster is useless. Sure the spell is good but 7 is high and once you failed it, the queen is a sitting duck. For 40 more points, you have a spellcaster that can wield a magic item and has either a -1D6 aura charge or +1towound aura which is fenomenal. That beeing said, the queen offer an unseen spell.
  23. Nope. Harridans are 2x5 the same models (with 2 models having a variation). I can't remember about the blasegheists.
  24. I am not familiar with real experience with this bataillon. Can you explain me the reason of this exceeding power? I always find that there is tons of way to bypass the use of inspiring presence, be it secrator/cmd10/dens/herdstone/battlebrew,etc.
  25. The shooting part is interestingly rare but it is very unreliable by being d3 hit and 4+ to hit. Don't count on it. For 80 points this is a melting pot of a lot of bizarre things.
