  1. Oi. I kind of like that idea. Just leave the game as it is now, but remove the 1 CP per turn. Still keep the extra CP for 50 points (and extra CP for Battalions and other special abilities). Now priority is rolling 6D6 every turn for priority. You also get one Wild Dice per battle round just like in Warcry. But, instead of Doubles, Triples, Quadruples activating specific abilities they grant you X command points for the round. Double = 1 CP Triple = 2 CP Quad = 4 CP -edit- Or remove everything related to Command Points, and make the priority roll the ONLY way to get CP. You either go first or you sow the whirldwind... theoretically.
  2. These are both pluses for me. I do think the campaign stuff is not that similar to Necromunda as that's basically turned into a full blown Skirmish RPG now. Which is fine. I don't need another one. A lighter campaign will fit a nice niche for me (and probably actually see the table more often).
  3. Also more info here: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2019/07/14/coming-soon-warcry/ Seems like there will be roaming Chaos Beasts... awesome. Not sure if the warband cards for the existing AoS factions will be sold apart from their starter boxes? The language is ambiguous, but it shows pics of the cards in stand-alone packs.
  4. Hmm ya. I just deleted the app and redownloaded it and it won’t let me add Other Units to the Main Body of my SC or KO forces that I just tried to make.
  5. Seems like the Meeting Engagement mode has some bugs in Azyr.... or I don't understand the rules for building a list. It won't let me add any "Other Units" or "Artillery" in the Main Force. Warscroll Builder does though.
  6. I've been wanting to dip my toe into KO for a while now, and figured I'd give it a shot with Meeting Engagements. I was able to cook together a list for an ME force, that I'd be happy to expand on later. Just looking for any thoughts from experienced KO folks. I will probably pick up and Endrinmaster too, to swap with the Admiral and see which I like better. SPEARHEAD 3 x Skywardens (100) 3 x Endrinriggers (120) MAIN BODY Arkanaut Admiral (120) - General 10 x Arkanaut Company (120) 5 x Grundstok Thunderers (90) Arkanaut Frigate (200) REARGUARD 6 x Endrinriggers (240)
  7. On top of Wraithbone... Aggaros Dunes thinned with Contrast Medium to various degrees.
  8. Skullcracker and allies were added back in the FAQ: Skullcracker War Engine | Unit Size Min: 1 | Unit Size Max: 1 | Points: 200 | Battlefield Role: Behemoth ALLIES Chaos Gargant, Everchosen, Khorne, Monsters of Chaos, Nurgle, Slaanesh, Slaves to Darkness, Tzeentch
  9. Exactly this. Besides... having an "elite force" of anything outside of Order or Destruction would just feel... odd to me.
  10. The post JUST prior to yours did it pretty effectively and efficiently.
  11. Oh ya. Definitely. Or they made archeregents costs 400 points
  12. To be honest. This feels like Kill Team for AoS proper, while Warcry is Necromunda. I mean... it feels like Kill Team with Commanders and Elites and everything all baked in already in a small play space ala Cities of Death... I'm all in for this. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2019/06/11/the-generals-handbook-2019-meeting-engagementsgw-homepage-post-2/
  13. I’d be open to having different themed BCR allegiances... Winter, Summer (Fire)... whatever. There has to be other tribes in parts of the realm that are attuned not just to the Everwinter but other elemental forces. For my money, AoS has been on a long arc bending away from Chaos vs Order and more toward the basic elemental and fundamental building blocks of the Realms anyway. The lore and even the game itself has been asking many questions about what makes up the Realms. What is a Soul? Who owns it? Where does it go when it dies (after it dies again in Shyish)? Where did all these minor gods and demigods go after the Age of Myth? etc... I’d hate to see the lore start to be more and more limited too quickly.
  14. I hear ya. But... given this is an objective based game (for at least Matched Play), I'd still be OK with it. Sure... I "could" throw 2000 points into 5-6 models still... but if I can at least start with that and then start to splash in Gutbusters over time to make the army more competitive.... that works.
  15. I'd actually be OK with that. /shrug
  16. Having your double turn not be that effective/efficient/timely... and then getting double turned back. I watched a game on the live stream from Adepticon last weekend where the two players cat & moused the first two rounds. It was lovely.
  17. This is quite the necro. I gotta say since 2.0 has dropped and I’ve played more games since this was created, the double turn has become one of my favorite aspect of AoS. AKA: I’ve learned not to rush everything into the middle and there’s not as much shooting as there was before 2.0.
  18. Ya the more I think about it... I wanted AoS; Killteam, but I’m glad they’re doing something new.
  19. That’s a pretty strong hint it’s not Kill Team... aka everyone is in, but in my opinion a likewise strong hint it’s going to be expanded somehow beyond Chaos.
  20. They confirmed on Facebook it won’t stay Chaos only.
