  1. Welcome to scapegoating when no one is directly to blame and complete lack of modern communication lines with the community make people think they are tone deaf. More like two different design groups with now common miscommunication with design principals or whatever other speculative information. Has always been a thing its not some new concept recently. People just gave a name and a face to the issue.
  2. Not weak, poorly balanced and not tested. Should be on wound rolls not hits. Same goes with the rest of the same abilities.
  3. Thats GW's normal response they don't usually do anything until a sizeable number of people tell them they need to make changes. Thus we the community need to be after them for making changes and tell them what we want. Importantly to tell them to change their dated systems for community feedback and growth. Its our responsibility and our future if we want warhammer to last.
  4. Bloodreavers and Blood warriors are two of my biggest problems for identity at least for the mortals.
  5. If you are curious about looking into this yourself check out the old fantasy books about the chaos gods, khorne was changed and then abandoned for other projects. Even outside the game they have no relevance of importance in the mortal realms or in khornes realm.
  6. Yeah I stopped getting their digital books because they don't want to make it accessible. I would suggest emailing them about your frustrations and the lack of assistance. This is the 'better way' to get their attention and begin change.
  7. They could be doing another limited mini game, they sure love those...
  8. I started AOS when it came out with khorne and I kept strong until 2.0 and realized the identity of the army and as a faction was worse than a disaster. I personally felt nothing had a place together and how a lot of " khorne values" are up in the air with old warhammer lore and current lore. I know its not a popular opinion to have about khorne but I will always think and believe of all the potential they could have still. But I decided to part with my collection with all the negativity I had myself and the game design. Even if GW throws your armies into the plastic sludge it doesn't have to be the end of something you enjoy. But the beginning of something new you could have control over. Make homebrew rules, experiment with new ideas and concepts not in the faction, start a campaign with a twist, convert models or full armies, write some fanfiction, etc. Always room to improve your skills in the game, hobby, and importantly, enjoy it. Don't let GW or other people decide the experience for you.
  9. Doesn't make sense for a new army and first wave models especially to get this many heroes. Argument could be strong to defend this many, but you likely will be using the same few heroes. Battalions also have requirements and some are more skewed. Even 3.0 hero hammering has its limits. Not like we have the best defense for them.
  10. Too many leaders and not enough "core role" army units. Surprised there was not a single non mounted beast
  11. Fear not the sin books you know but the bin books you don't know
  12. I plan on just making my own using the lord of the rings wild wargs for grot light cavalry and fell wargs for orruk medium cavalry. Waiting until the newer sprues are out for the gutrippaz for riders. Gnobblars will probably be fine, simple pose for me mostly. I don't expect anything new, but if there is, maybe a 4 wound elite unit with min 3 models in it. GW likes using 40mm bases. We really don't have much for "beasts" that are not mounts, thing to note.
  13. Interesting thing to think about, the borders of the dedicated systems of narrative and competitive are blurred with very little concepts implemented playing and when not playing. What do you think about a campaign hero; grow your own character while the campaign unfolds.
  14. Knowing how GW has been treating the narrative campaign books the past years I can't suggest the thought they will learn from their mistakes and release something like this built in. I'm not fond of the high paywall for how little they wanted to develop the system. Especially when most of the rules can and often are overlooked or ignored. I've resorted to developing homebrew campaign rules using the 3.0 PTG system and looking back at old books to see how they did things back then. If anyone has feedback about growing players armies over the campaign and other improvements about that I'm eager to hear everyone's thoughts on that.
  15. I wanna see some non hero or non mounted monsters, or at least cavalry options. Probably going to print and convert something like these in the near future: A light cavalry with hobgrotz with small weapons or a short bow, weak damage but big unit sizes. Medium cavalry with orruks , slightly larger mounts than hobgrotz, charges with two handed nail weapons.
  16. I find this useful, saves me paper and making bad excel files.
  17. Sisters still have another pre-order after this one. The tank and a few others are not up yet. So I don't think they will pair Dominion on the 19th.
  18. Pause at exactly 15 seconds. The back right has a dinosaur looking creature with neckplates that looks taller than the mounted boss on the left side. Don't know if anyone has seen this yet.
  19. I know I was really hoping they would have a herd keyword at least. The warband slaangor has -2 rend 2 dmg attacks, but they only have -1 1 dmg. The 2 inch range is alright but again, not much going for them. The MW generation doesn't look bad but its a 4+ and wont last long in combat.
  20. No herd keyword for Slaangors is a pass for me in beasts. They let all the tzaangors have one but not these. I can see them being fairly decent in slaanesh and maybe slaves to darkness at least.
  21. Can I see a specific link? Im not seeing anything from my searches.
  22. Looking for list advice, most of what I own is conversions or still shipping for months. Wondering what I should consider getting in the future, I'd prefer to stay away from marauders and the god factions if possible. I have a decent amount of games and playtesting but this is not strictly competitive. Any feedback will be appreciated. My list is pretty much focusing on the ruinbringer battalion for the mw on charges, with the horsemen to poke and screen. While everything else outside the battalion grinding forward to objectives. Obviously this could be improved on and optimized with significantly more marauder horsemen and marauders instead of warriors. But personally I already have 2 other horde armies so its a bit much. I couldn't decide on the command traits and the 2nd artifact on them, but Master of Deception seems necessary. What I currently own - 25 chaos warriors - 15 knights - 2 chaos lords on foot - 1 chaos lord on karkadrak - 10 marauder horsemen - 1 chaos sorcerer lord - 5 chaos chosen. Ravagers 1990pt - Chaos lord, Reaperblade & Steel, Nurgle, General 110pt - Chaos lord, Reaperblade & Steel, Nurgle, 110pt - Chaos Sorcerer Lord, Nurgle, Mask of Darkenss 110pt - 15 Chaos Warriors, Weapon & Shield, Nurgle 270pt - 10 Chaos Warriors, Weapon & Shield, Nurgle 180pt - 5 Chaos Chosen, Nurgle 140pt Ruinbringer Battalion 140pt - Chaos Lord on Karkadrak, Khorne, Cloak of the Relentless Conqueror, Master of Deception 230pt - 5 Chaos Knights, Lance, Khorne 160pt - 5 Chaos Knights, Lance, Khorne 160pt - 5 Chaos Knights, Ensorcelled Weapons, Khorne 160pt - 5 Marauder Horsemen, Javelins, Khorne 110pt - 5 Marauder Horsemen, Javelins, Khorne 110pt
